Why would a picture of the Beast be shown when the article says it happened to the Bat?

    1. Noweone

Because the Bat has been closed down for over 10 years. This isn’t news.

      1. “The Bat” was originally a different coaster altogether, which was closed down in the 80s or 90s. What they now call “The Bat” used to be Top Gun, (and then some other name I can’t remember after the CF merger) when the park was owned by Paramount. It was soooo much better back then. The coaster was always fun but ended too abruptly.

        1. The original Bat closed in 1984 or 1985 and was replaced with Vortex. The current Bat opened in 1993 as Top Gun and later Flight Deck

          Flight Deck

      My first thought, too!

Lol the Bat would have been thrilling for the first time!

    1. deran Sanchez

      Lol right!!!😅😅

#1 you used a pic of the Beast that is running better than ever after a partial retrack and reprofile.

#2 don’t hype up what happened to a wheel slipping off the track and all safety systems worked correctly to keep passengers/ riders safe. PEOPLE died yesterday in the AMTRACK derailment!

    1. deran Sanchez

      Ok karen

      1. RegencyJupiter03

Wow. A Karen, calling someone else a Karen. So original and quick-witted of you, Sanchez…

  4. Always preferred Kings Island over any other park, more kid friendly, family orientated.
The wheel that fell off was probably an alignment part and the redundant safety measures kept the riders safe.

The bat was reopened this year. Know your facts.

I live 5 minutes from KI and have had an AP. it has stayed open with the name changing depending on who owns park. Rode it last year, the year before and so on,

$85.00 a ticket at the gate. $25.00 to park. We visited on 6/28 and had to get off the train at Soak City because the train broke down. Could ride The Beast because it was broke down, the Blue Racer was broke down all morning, and after waiting in line for 45 minutes to get on the Stunt Coaster they told everyone in line that it was also broke down now. 50th Anniversary and was excited to go. Apparently they have jacked up the rates, including food, and couldn’t deliver. Very disappointed. 😕

      C’mon, Heidi…daily tickets are $49.99, not $85.00, so let’s not over exaggerate, k?
As far as the price of food being jacked up—and everything else under the sun for that matter—what HASN’T spiked price-wise since the disruption of the world economy due to the pandemic?
Should Kings Island be immune to the surging inflation of…everything, everywhere?
You wouldn’t leave a negative review for whatever gas station you filled up at for $5+ a gallon to GET to Kings Island, would you? Certainly not…
