In one of his own letters, Tolkien responds to questions about whether he could write a sequel to LOTR–
He said he had tried, but since all magic had left Middle Earth with the elves, it could only be an earthbound story of King Aragorn having to face war from a new rival kingdom, and (not his quote) he wasn’t here to write Game of Thrones.

The latter of which seems to be the reason we’re GETTING a made-for-streaming LOTR series in the first place.

So basically a bunch of white geeks are freak out about a guy’s feelings who died over fifty years ago. Meanwhile it’s Russian Roulette at American schools thanks to the gun nuts pansies. Newsflash J. R. R. Tolkien would care less about some prequel show and be horrified about America turning into a dystopia complete with banning books.

White bigot triggered. What else is new.

My main problem is there is an outed female dwarf charcter that doesn’t have a beard. Dwarves should have beards, it say so right in the books. Even in video games for Lotro, dwarves have beards and don’t look to different between genders.

should even be black, never mind being outed or beardless lol

“We even know what our last shot is going to be”
yea maybe this is the shot where the interracial affair between the black elf and white single mother is recognized in the community, with warrior Xena like Galadriel and simpy Elrond presiding over the official marriage….then there is this cut and fade to a hip-hop dance, started off by the black un-bearded dwarves, etc. etc. it’s gonna be an embarrassment possibly and one season
