    Fantastic, beautiful.

No this is so one sided could you imagine if it was the opposite, like disney show teaching that marriage should only be between a man and a woman. Or maybe pro life references people would be mad. The problem is that people are spilt in this country and almost evert country on there beliefs about 50 50. And 90 percent of entrrtainment and corporations are subsidized with one side of that belief. If you want your kids to be taught about sexuality and a young age that’s your right. But for what used to be a family based company to do it is wrong. Just be unbiased and be fair I’m not calling for my principles to be forced upon the other side. We just need to realize as humans were idiots [ especially hollywood as they dont have any actual life experience]and our principles could be wrong, so let people come to there own decisions at a reasonable age, and not brainwash children. I believe as a classical liberal that the best course of action usually in this situation would be, since you have a choice to not see the movie just don’t, and the problem will correct itself. But unfortunately now we live in a time where these companies are almost government entities that are contracted out by politicial powers above them. Not to mention it doesn’t even hold water because disney deals with countries that actually segregate and harm the lgbt community so clearly its politically motivated. The right needs to start pressuring these companies as the left does until the companies eventually realize that either way there screwed and should stay out of politics all together.

Maybe they should make content people in general want to see, rather than content Disney execs want to see.

    1. Kimberly StClair

      Agreed

    2. Mr B.

The woke go broke. They are alienating guests that aren’t interested in this type of feature. How are they going to make it if only the LGBTQ+63.

  3. Heyitsbritt

What the hell is wrong with this world? I want my kids to grow up knowing how things should be and make the decision themselves when they’re older. Seems like it’s being pushed to be gay. Im not ok with that and this movie will not be watched.

    1. SCOTT m Lee-ROSS

I am totally confused by this. Showing a kid and his crush is wrong, but showing a on screen killing of someone. or even a killing of Bambi’s mom is ok and not pushing kids to be killers, or any of the other myriad of social atrocities seen on movie screens every day would be ok.
Or is it just bigotry at play. And yes, before you say anything, bigotry is the correct word

      1. Cyndi

I agree. Violence is okay, but love in any form is objected too. Sex scenes in movies don’t bring the same objections as this crush does.

      2. Kevin

Sorry to inform you but Not everyone who doesn’t agree with you 100% is a bigot. It seems to me that you are actually the narrow minded one here

        1. SCOTT m Lee-ROSS

you realize that is the definition of bigotry:
obstinate or unreasonable attachment to a belief, opinion, or faction; in particular, prejudice against a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular group.

          1. Mr B.

Your definition, because you are like a sheep…..a follower. Did you get the definition from ultra liberal Wikipedia?

          2. Amused onlooker

“Did you get your definition from Wikipedia?” isn’t quite the dunk you think it is, but it does make a nice self-own.

          3. Kevin

You realize you just described yourself to a T. Bravo

          4. Tiffany

So SCOTT m Lee-ROSS (or CalledIt) I guess by your definition then you are a bigot too!

      3. Mr B.

Bigotry my ass. Quit pushing the gay agenda on everyone. That is what it is. I don’t nor anyone else care who you are screwing. This movie is going to be a flop just like the new Buzz Lightyear.

      4. Cameron Debartolo

There’s a couple problems with what your saying. The first being they killed a deer which is hardly controversial ,87 percent of Americans agreed that is acceptable to hunt for food. Secondly even if we said that that wasn’t the case and people did have a problem with hunting, they showcase the mothers death as tragic, and in iron giant the more recent movie they depict hunting as wrong. So not sure what argument your trying to make. Your reference of making murderers is a stretch especially considering at the time period. Now there are actual arguments right now on both sides about violence in movies and games with guns, that could be creating an aggressive gun culture. The same is to be said about teaching young kids sexual identity as statistically , in more let’s just say progressive states like California have much higher percentages of children identifying as lgbt then say oklahoma. So there’s much to say about the influence of media and fads, on children. So the best way to go about this is for both sides to just leave there biases aside and stop forcing there opinions on each other. And especially on young children.

      5. Mr B.

Lets see…movies with killings are usually R rated. NOT FOR CHILDREN. Do you see the difference?

    2. Kimberly StClair

      Amen

    3. Candy

      💯 agreed

    4. Teressa

      I agree!

  4. Eliz

About 30-40% of America is LQBTQAI+, so this has broad appeal.

    1. SCOTT m Lee-ROSS

      @Eliz
how dare you say that when everyone knows only 3 people were ever born gay. All the others were just ‘groomed’.
By the way, the only 3 born gay were the last pope, Richard Simmons and I forget who the third was, but I am sure he was never groomed.

    2. Ed Liu

We are talking about movies for kids. Your stats has no meaning here.

    3. Bob

I want a ratings system like tv-15 for non-traditional family activity

      1. Eric

Stop pushing the Gay agenda on kids. Why does every Disney movie now have to have some gay sex scene nonsense, or whatever garbage they keep adding in. It’s to the point now where if it doesn’t involve the gay community they can’t make it. It adds nothing to the story and doesn’t need to be shown to young kids.

    4. Harley

30-40% of America is not gay more like 2% wherever you get your numbers is straight up bs

    5. LibsWearBibs

It’s LQBTQAI+ this week? Make up your minds with your acronym or don’t accuse people of being -ism or – phobic when they don’t get it right.

    6. stephen

When you use half the alphabet it isn’t hard to fit a lot of people under that umbrella. I’m just waiting for the day we use a-z instead of the jumbled mess you just typed out. It will be a lot easier.

      1. How many keys are on the keyboard

If they add “straight” they’ll be able to proclaim 99.9% of the population are LGBT+. It sounds absurd, but they already added “no answer” (Asexual), so it could happen.

    7. Mr B.

The percentage of LGBTQ+63 is a whopping 7%. It has no appeal

  5. SCOTT m Lee-ROSS

Actually, you are both wrong. 20.8% of GenZ identify at LGBTQ in the latest study published in February. So, Harley you are off by a factor of 10.
@Bob, you want that so you can have a clear path to things that will nor offend your bigotry. And yes, again, Bigotry is the correct word.

    1. Kevin

You are using one generation to cherry pick your ~20% statistic. That is completely not indicative of the entire US population so actually you are wrong (big surprise). And yet again you are the narrow minded one and are misusing and over using the word “bigotry”. Try to come up with something original please.

    2. Kevin

By the way a quick Google search will tell you that Gallup, in there latest study, found that only 7% identify as LGBT. Have a nice day.

      1. Kevin

        *their

    3. Thinking

Isn’t it strange that the number changes between generations, as if it has nothing to do with how one was born and is connected to what they are taught?

  6. Vicki

    Another Fisney movie I won’t see….

  7. AH

14 countries banned Lightyear. Chris Evans says everyone should see it. He will no doubt say the same for this movie, but my family will not see it nor Lightyear. The Disney executive who said they were putting LGBTQ!@#$%^& stuff in programming (which includes movies) was not speaking untruth. America is the frog in the pot and the water is stating to simmer. Will the temperature be lowered, stay the same, or increase? Looks like the last choice.

    1. Teressa

My family will not be watching this movie or Lightyear.

  8. kurt

This is a step in the right direction.
The concept seems very original, and the beauty of the animation/artwork! Stunning!

Thanks for letting us know up front so we don’t buy tickets. This is not a theme I want in my kids’ movies, and I’m absolutely not supporting it with my money. I would have been upset if I’d paid tickets and had to walk out mid-movie. We’ll take our money elsewhere.

    1. All the same

You’re best off avoiding all Disney media until there is a change in leadership.

      1. BG

        100%

  11. A

Gay character or not, from the preview material so far, the movie didn’t look very good. Disney seems to be forgetting that good story-telling should be the biggest priority. Several of their more recent features have been lacking in that department.

  12. BG

Disney is evil. I hope that millions of normal people will join me in boycotting everything Disney. How disgusting.
