I’m so glad they didn’t cast Tom Cruise as Iron Man. Or as anyone else in the MCU. Tom Cruise isn’t that great of an actor and I don’t see his appeal. His talent is directly proportional to his popularity. He’s no where as go as Robert Downey Jr. and would have brought shame to the role.
Tom Cruise is a great actor. “Collateral”, “Born on the Fourth of July”, “Interview with the Vampire”, “Magnolia”, “A Few Good Men” even “Tropic Thunder”. A lot of people just see him for the tentpole films he’s most popular for and well known from.
RDJ is the only person that can play the part of “Iron Man”
At least in my generation.
I don’t know if any of you have a tv remote where you can speak into the remote and say “Iron Man”. Because if you do have a rv remote where you can speak into it when that icon to the movie and you will hear “I am Iron Man” in RDJ voice.

I love and admire RDJ for the battles he’s fought in real life and overcome!!! The fact that he’s a hunk to look at has nothing to do with my high regards for him as Iron Man
