  1. Shouldn’t he have been immediately ejected for clearly having his phone out while the ride was in motion?

Also, get over it. It’s FL. It’s hot and sunny.

    1. Laura

Guess they’re lax on the phone. I do agree about the weather. That’s just how it is. Staff can’t magically control weather.

      1. Gypsy

        Typical yanks lol 😆
Uhhh of course it’s hot it’s florida 30 minutes no food or water oh mylanta like your going to starve to death lol I hate when people are drama queen’s!!

        1. Rooftop Voter

Of late, everyone is a “victim.” Oh the horrors!

    2. Renea

Exactly my thoughts. Also, why would a person need food for a 30 min. wait. People can amazingly survive more than 30 min in the sun without water. What a stupid story. Please do something about those idiots videoing with cell phones. If I get hit by a flying phone then I will own that park and the a$$ of the fool who owns the phone

    3. Mark

In theory, yes. He should have been ejected, but that’s some really bad optics if they had.

30 mins no food, whatever. That sun/heat this time of year in Tampa is a killer though. They should have provided bottled water for the riders as they got them off the ride.

  2. David

    A whole 30 mins. Crazy.

  3. Tracy

My daughter and I were stuck on the sheikra for almost an hour on Friday in which during that time a thunderstorm abruptly came on. I will say that it was scary as hell siting, open air exposed on a ton of metal as you watch the lightening around you. We were given a free line pass as compensation but it would have been nice to get a t-shirt seeing as we were all drenched.

  4. Sue

Ok then don’t go to the parks when it’s in the 90’s in Florida. Common sense it’s Florida it’s hot so get over it and go cry someplace else

  5. Patrick

He sure is whiny. It’s Florida and it’s hot here.

    1. Julianne

Question is NOT was this guy whining or illegally using his phone, it’s WHY does this keep happening? Especially in Florida where tourism is their business! We never heard about this kind of thing until the last few years. Perhaps stop making higher and faster rides until you’re positive you can safely run them constantly, in all weather, while carrying all our family members. If you cannot guarantee that, back to the drawing board.

  6. Nonya Bizz

These comments are unbelievable! Florida is beautiful and hot and we enjoy it! Nevertheless no one wants get stuck on a ride! You adults are way more immature than kids! Let this man be and take your negative comments and shove them!

    1. Natalie

      MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY !!!!!!!!

  7. Alan

He looked so hot let me tell you I seen the sweat just pour it off his face and his T-shirt all soak and wet dude you’re in Florida suck it up

  8. Jack Hart

OMG 30 minutes without FOOD or water?!? Say it ain’t so…

  9. David

Leave him alone. I have heat weakness and i know what he’s going through.

    1. Keith

So he has heat weakness and goes to a theme park in 100 degree weather.

      1. J

No one expects to get stuck on a ride that long in the heat

        1. Joey

The lines are even longer, same sun and heat. Things break down, it happens and they got it working in less than 30 mins.

  10. Beehee

“riders were stuck there for over a half hour, in the blazing sun, with no food or water.” Oh that must been no day at the beach. Wait…that’s exactly what happens in a day at the beach. SMH.

    1. Julianne

There’s a huge difference from sitting at the beach and freely walking and swimming when you like, with a cooler full of drinks and being stuck motionless on a ride, no idea for how long, in the blazing sun. Try using some common sense.

      1. Joey

The lines take longer than 30 mins, same sun and if you go walk away, you lose your spot on the line.

  11. Lisa

Y’all in the comments are more immature than children.
    SMDH
What happened to adults? Y’all gotta suck it up.

  12. KELLY!! Really?? They were without food and water for an ENTIRE HALF AN HOUR?😳 OH MY GOODNESS HOW DID THEY EVER SURVIVE??

    1. Julianne

You’d probably be crying your eyes out if you were stuck, couldn’t move, no water or bathroom, on a ride you thought was a couple of minutes long, in the hot sun. No one expects that torture when they pay extortionate amounts to go to a theme park in Florida. Just because it’s hot there, doesn’t make it ok to keep people imprisoned with no escape for unknown amounts of time. Young men would be the first ones crying for their mommies. As usual.

      1. Joey

The conditions are no different in the lines which take more than 30 mins. If you step out of line to eat, drink, go to the bathroom, you go back to the end of the line. They couldn’t follow the worker because you can see it’s very narrow and no rail. It would be extremely easy for someone to tumble off if the ride started again. The worker going to get it restarted was the smartest thing. T

    2. William

This isn’t even newsworthy. Almost as bad as the girls from Disney being asked to cover Up or leave for wearing provacative clothing. Too many narcissistic people in the world. Start taking some responsibility for your own decisions

  13. ROXIE

They should have given them a bottle of water.. Food no.

    1. Joey

It was half an hour, it would have taken longer to go make a couple of trips to get water.. The best thing was get the ride moving again and get them off of it.

  14. AlRoker

It’s HOT and HUMID in Florida in the middle of the summer?! Great Scott!!!! Who ever would have guessed that?

  15. Bren

Wow! A whole 30 minutes without food and water?? Wow! And yet people are willing to wait in Disney lines for hours without food and water? Give me a break. Nothing but attention seeking going on here. S

  16. Gypsy

    Typical yanks lol 😆
Uhhh of course it’s hot it’s florida 30 minutes no food or water oh mylanta like your going to starve to death lol I hate when people are drama queen’s!!

    1. Trav

I was there recently and noticed all the hoodies and other sweats being worn. This was the first time Ive seen multiple kids require on the spot medical attention for dehydration. Welcome to FL in the Summer

  17. Trav

Love that coaster. Its a lot of fun. Busch Gardens has always been my favorite park. I was there most recently over the Memorial Day weekene.

  18. Sam

I’m a 7th generation Floridian. 30 minutes in direct sunlight with no water in June can kill you. He’s not being overly dramatic.

I think a lot of you perhaps aren’t aware of how deadly Florida summers can be. Or maybe just want to constantly kiss the a** of any theme park that screws up.

    1. Ben

I have lived in FL my whole life. 30 minutes in the sun is not deadly.

    2. Katherine

5th generation Orlando native and I’m not young! 30 minutes in FL sun with no water is NOT going to kill someone. You pack your lies up and go sell it to ppl who don’t live here and know reality. Btw, I just spent over a hour mowing my yard in the full sun with no food or drink and I didn’t die!

  19. Joey

I’ll admit, the comment no food or water for half an hour got my attention. If it was a couple of hours, I get it. Florida in the summer, duh, yeah, hot. As for the worker, he saw it was stuck then went and got it moving. The walkway is probably not safe for non workers to walk on. It may not have railings on some more open areas of the tracks, it might not be built for more than one or two people. It takes longer than half an hour to go thru those ride lines, so not sure how they handle that.

  20. Constance

Where do you think the kids get it from?

  21. JRF

30 min really …Anyone wants to join me on a weekend tour at the burning man camping ground
    I guarantee it gets 110°+

  22. I love that it illustrated that they had to survive 30 mins on the ride without food and water, while kids in 3rd world countries who wish they could have a roller coaster to ride are surving in hotter conditions for long periods without food and water. I have gone longer than 30mins in the middle of the Afghanistan Sun at 100+ degrees with 70 lbs of kit on that increases your core body temperature by 10%, but God forbid if people get stuck on a roller coaster in a safe place for 30 minutes. Pick your battles and stop illustrating how good we have it in the United States compared to other countries.

  23. ALLISON M

They were also stuck in line..for 30min..in the sun. Without food and water. ROTFL. Who cares

  24. Amy

Shocked at the negative comments toward this guy! When you wait in line, there is often shade, sometimes fans, you can have a drink in line with you, and you can move around as needed. To be stuck in the Florida heat with the sun beating down, buckled down next to someone and unable to move… it is reasonable to complain! My daughter was stuck on a coaster there one time and was totally panicked! Another issue with Busch Gardens rides breaking down is that you can be waiting in line for an hour,
and if the ride breaks just as you get to the front, they won’t even give you a quick-queue pass to return or ride something else. With an annual pass, it is frustrating but you can return another time. For someone visiting the area who has paid the crazy price for one or two days, it is unacceptable to have that much of your day wasted! I live locally and have been in that situation SEVERAL times, and we barely ever go! I always have thought how mad I would be if I didn’t have a pass!

  25. Ben

It is FL, it is hot, they were fine, everyone was fine. The worst part is this guy wanting a pity party and says he was worried about his kids, but if you go on his page, he says that his kids were laughing. So what is it my man? It seems that he wanted people to agree with him, but when no one was he had to do a complete 180. Fake people like him, cannot stand him.

  26. Katherine

If you can’t handle 30 minutes in the FL sun, then stay up north and leave us true Floridians alone! Crybabies do whatever for attention!!

  27. Chris

The worst ride to get stuck on is The Mummy @ Universal. I was on a ride once that stopped n the room with the fire. It was awful. I will also say I used to love Busch Gardens but the rides there are always getting stuck. I will never forget being told by an employee the reason that Falcons Fury is almost always down during the summer is that it’s constantly struck by lightning! No thanks….

  28. Ragnar

Omg 30 whole minutes in the sun ?
I mean that’s almost 1/24 of the time most of us spend in the sun …
And the “without food and water” part was hilarious…
Go home , we don’t want y’all here anyway !

  29. Rob

TikTok poster and that’s all you need to know. They’re pu$$1es.
