So she’s been spoiled by dlp? Then she’d better neverever visit wdw…though I’m wondering how bad Anaheim has to be then.
Our last visits to dlp in short words:
Most Character meetings only open for 2 hrs a day (no matter what day or season) , no Disney photographer @ Mickey photo occasion.
Dance…and shine brighter cut short to a little parade due to “extreme heat” (32C/90F…needless to say that this is a common summer temperature in middle europe)
So how do they survive in FL or CA?
Same “heat” caused both playgrounds to shut down, as there’s no shadow or splash pad.
Most park restaurants closed between 4 and 5 pm (park’s open till 11)…if they’re opening at all
This includes the ice cream parlor…again, park’s open for 6 more hours with 90F and sunny weather.
Other locations were out of ice cream, slushies etc around the same time.
No shadow, no fans, no mist for people in line at several queues…
Lots of construction going on…the first thing you see when you walk towards “Magic Kingdom” is not the beautiful facade of the entrance but scaffolding and workers…they knew before that there’s an anniversary, why not get it done before or after the “big celebrations”? Same with small world, nautilus etc…closed for planned refurbishments.
And the biggest rip-off: Don’t ever pay a single dime for the photopass unless it’s included in any annual passes or special offers. While our last 3-day visit in both parks we actually saw ONE Disney Photographer for a magic shot… ONE! None at the character meetings, none on main street or near the castle…for those about 80€ you’ll get the ride photos and if you’re lucky that one or two pics taken near the magic shot spots and that’s it.
…and don’t get me started on the never moving walkways from the parking lot to the entrance. Out of order for at least half a year
