Saratoga Springs is not a moderate resort. It is a Deluxe Resort. Just like the Grand Floridian was not an opening day resort. It seems like there is no actual knowledge of the facts being reported. Just searching social media and other Disney sites for stories.
I stayed in the treehouses when I was in high school, with my family, during the years 1977-79. It was expensive then and I can’t even imagine what it would cost once they were redone. We also stayed in the townhouses that were right beside Downtown Disney before it became Disney Springs… you rented golf carts and drove them from those two places and parked and recharged them outside the stores. We bought groceries at what is now Earl of Sandwich. It hurts me to hear people who state facts incorrectly. I have been lucky enough to go to WDW almost every year since June of 1972. Sometimes I have even been lucky enough to get to go several times a year.
Having stayed at the renovated Treehouses twice now, I do think they could use some love. Like the other buildings at Saratoga, they’re beginning to show wear from use and neglect—similar to Boulder Ridge at Wilderness. Also agree with other commenters on the need for better fact-checking here.
The Treehouse Villa’s are pretty dark on the interior and could be revamped to brighten things up. They are a great place to stay and are kind of a hidden secret.
