Is this really a problem? Periods are a thing. Don’t get mad at Disney. Get mad at human biology.

    1. Dan

Men don’t get periods… neither do transgender robots. This is getting beyond ridiculous. Disney is no longer tells stories. It’s all activism now.

      1. CK

No, why get mad at biology? Males do not get periods, that is a biological fact. Disney has changed it’s course, so yes, be mad at Disney

      2. Ha ha ha

Dan, you don’t write sensible comments any longer. It’s all activism now.

        1. Walt

Or perhaps you don’t understand English?

      3. M

Disney is going downhill. Watch the stocks tank even more.

      4. Dora

Wouldn’t have started watching had I seen this first, skipped this episode once we realized whatit was about, moved on to the next episode and the male character asked another male character on a date. I am sick of the agendas being shoved on our throats, children’s entertainment should not contain adult topics. Why does a 5-year-old need to watch content about periods, tampons, And gay dating agendas?

    2. O Resident

Yes, it is a problem because Disney is acting like it has been so progressive while it has been sitting on the sidelines for so many years while funneling money to republican politicians because it benefited businesses.

Now that it has become profitable and trendy’s to be an ally, it wants on board. That is a problem.

      1. Steve

Trendy, sure. Profitable is another story entirely. 45% in the hole from before this madness ramped up.

        1. SCOTT m Lee-ROSS

Disney profits are up not down. Stock price has no bearing on if a company is making money or losing money.

          1. Steve

Stock price shows what the market thinks you are worth. That the market thinks Disney is worth half what it was a year ago, despite profits and inflation, shows they have a problem many companies do not.

    3. Steve

Men don’t get periods and more importantly, periods don’t belong in children’s media.

      1. Ha ha ha

Steve does’t belong on the internet. He’s probably spam anyways

        1. Julia

Why doesn’t he belong on the internet? Because he has an opinion that differs from yours?

      2. Yeah right…

Steve, if you feel like your limited biased opinion should be imposed on the population, go write to your conservative buddies in the Supreme Court, and maybe they can fix fix in your favor. Sheesh.

      3. Two can play at this:

Don’t watch Avengers: people don’t fly and murderers don’t belong in children’s media.

        1. Steve

Did you just imply men having periods is fiction? Yes, you are correct.

          1. Steve

States have a right to decide for themselves now. How is that wrong? That is how it should have been. This never should have been a discussion. left cries about democracy and choice, but hates when people make democratic choices they don’t agree with.

I don’t care either way. I hope they start striking down gun control. All of it.

      4. Heather

Girls start getting their period between the ages of 8-13. It’s a prevalent, natural things. Grow up and get over it

      5. Walt

Yes take away Steve’s freedom to express his opinion. Perhaps you would like to build special camps ala’ Communist China and re-educate him of his primordial beliefs? So glad you educatd me that this is so open and tolerant – otherwise I would have labeled it intolerant and hateful. All animals are equal – some are more equal than others

      6. G. C.

When some people get periods as young as 8?
Also, please tell me why your treating a biological occurrence like a sexual encounter.

It’s biology, it’s not inappropriate, especially when the target audience is one that might be dealing with that issue.

Also, period isn’t a dirty word. Everyone needs to know about them. Keeping it hush hush is how we have grown men walking around think women can “hold” their periods like urine… Smh

        1. Julia

Why doesn’t he belong on the internet? Because he has an opinion that differs from yours?

      7. Mambear

        Two questions:
        1) What is the target age group for this content? If it’s not 13+ then this political posturing.
        2) How can it be informative to anyone dealing with puberty to insert a man into the scene buying feminine hygiene products for himself?

Either this is content meant to inform its audience about biological reality or it’s an attempt to clothe a nakedly political agenda as informative just to backstop criticism while cramming lgbtqia+ theology into kids minds.

Hint: that’s the trans-flag he’s wearing. This is indoctrination not information.

    4. Lee

Human biology? Like the radical notion that men don’t menstrate?

      1. Yeah right…

I think it’s a transgender person we’re talking about in that scene, Einstein.

    5. Kevin

Yes periods are a thing. For TEENAGE girls, not the CHILDREN who this show is geared towards, marketed to and is the target audience for. See why people have a problem now, skippy?

      1. SCOTT m Lee-ROSS

        @Kevin
You do realize that the show is not geared to, marketed to and does not have a target audience of just children. Maybe it is time to grow up and understand

        1. Kevin

Older kids MIGHT watch it but actually the show is geared towards kids younger than teenagers. But I know that doesn’t fit your narrative. Maybe its time to exit your echo chamber and listen to different viewpoints instead of acting like you usually do on here.

        2. Julia

So maybe Disney should start introducing intercourse and master nation into their shows? That’s natural, right? Normalize everything!! No need to keep children innocent!

      2. G. C.

Some get their periods as young as 8. Its relevant.
Also, at like 10, most schools split girls and boys up for a special lesson. Thebgirls learn about periods, and the boys learn about something else. They’re already teaching children about it, as they should.
So please, spare me your pearl clutching about “the children” 🙄

        1. Kevin

Yeah at age 10. Big difference from 5 and 6 year olds watching this show. So spare me your SJW BS.

        2. Steve

They still should not be educated about it by a TV show. It doesn’t belong in a TV shoe, either, any more then discussions of other bodily functions.

    6. BLACKBETH

Ah yes but for little kids who don’t have that problem, its totally unnecessary also the trans thing is wrong they need to be purged

  2. TotalDramaDisney

Also, it’s current year. Trans people are also a thing. Get over it.

    1. DramaRama

the whole LGBQRSTUV+ has always been a thing, that group of people represent about 3% of the population so I don’t mind it showing up in 3% of the movies, but its getting closer to 100% for disney

      1. S1

Studies have shown the number is closer to 25% when you add in all the people who are in denial/in the closet.

There are a lot more LGBTQIA+ people out there than those who admit it.

        1. Steve

Keep adding new letters/illnesses and we can hit 100%!

        2. Naomi

If it was truly 25% it wouldn’t be regional or generational. It would be across the board and it’s not. It’s millennials and gen x in California and New York😂

          1. Katy

You do know marginalized people will flee 3rd world states at a young age for California and New York ?

          2. G. C.

Then Explain to me then how I just witnessed a man in his 60’s come out to his family this past weekend.
But yeah, it’s ALL Gen X and below…🙄 Ok clown shoes.

        3. Kevin

Hate to break it to you S1 but your 25% is a way off (and completely cherry picked) disproven BS statistic. Proven number (complete across all age groups and letters in the total population of the US) hovers ~7%. Do a google search if you don’t believe me.

      2. SCOTT m Lee-ROSS

your figures are a little outdated. LGBT+ is not 3% of the population. Of millennials over 10% self-identify as LGBT. Actual source, February Gallup Poll

        1. Kevin

And yet again, Scotty, you cherry-picking figures from ONE group/generation does NOT equate to total population. Short lesson on statistics for you (since you cant seem to grasp the concept as evidenced by your repeating the same skewed information multiple times): You have to average ALL ages/groups together to get a true number. The same exact Gallup study you reference says TOTAL US population that identifies as LGBT is ~7%. Please be accurate or stop posting and have a nice day.

        2. Steve

          Child grooming works.

      3. Commenter24601

By your own numbers it should be 3% of the people in 100% of the movies, not 1 person in 3% of the movies.

    2. Steve

Should I start to list things that are also “a thing” you probably don’t want in movies?

    3. BLACKBETH

No doing the trans trend is gross and unethical. They need to be purged from society

  3. Brad

So my little kids are going to ask what tampons are because they ask all sorts of questions. I’m going to say they are a woman’s hygiene product… but then they show a man talking about using them.

This is confusing to kids, it’s dividing America, it doesn’t add to the story, it’s virtue signaling… it is quite literally propaganda at this point.

If you don’t see what is wrong with this then you need to check yourself.

    1. TotalDramaDisney

It’s the ultra conservative alt-right that’s dividing America. There’s nothing wrong with mentioning that puberty happens. This isn’t even the first time Disney talked about menstruation! They made an entire short literally called “The Story of Menstruation” WAY back in 1946! Also, trans people exist. Get over it. If you’re kids are confused, just tell them that women, and some women who want to be men, use them, and what they’re used for. Simple as that.

      1. kurt

Well written. I like the cut of your jib!

      2. Steve

No, it is the far left pushing their agenda onto everyone and into everything that divided America. You just dislike that everyone didn’t bow down to you.

        1. LOL

Says the conservative person whose Supreme Court buddies just imposed abortion laws on everyone? You conservatives just can’t be happy until you own the entire world.

          1. now im LOL

The supreme court did not impose abortion laws on anyone. They simply put the laws in the hands of the states which is what the constitution says should be done. You’re actually part of the problem, how about doing a little research yourself instead of listening and believing everything you hear on main stream media.

          2. SCOTT m Lee-ROSS

So, @now im LOL, have you read the 14th Amendment. IT is part of the Constitution. Just your friends on SCOTUS just decided to ingore.

          3. now im LOL

doesn’t say “abortion”anywhere in the constitution, try again CalledIt!

          4. Kevin

You sir are correct. It does not. I’m shocked Scott/calledIt hasn’t gone on one of his “you’re a bigot” tirades against you yet for pointing out the obvious to him..

      3. Dan

It’s the left that’s causing the problems. You can’t operate today unless you accept liberal ideology. Vaccine mandates. Mask mandates. Restrictions on free speech, gun control, political correctness becoming a cult, etc. All these things and more have severely divided this country.

        1. Bob

So many incredibly stupid people in this country today. It’s amazing you’re even able to dress yourself. Do the world a favor and go play in traffic

          1. blob

blob, i mean bob, is a perfect example for what Dan just mentions

          2. Kevin

EXACTLY! When they have no logical counter argument with which to have a discussion they resort to immaturely insulting the entire other side and telling them they should commit suicide.

        2. Sasha

My freedom of body autonomy was taken away and you’re still crying about a mask? Lol

          1. Erin W.

I certainly hope you weren’t one of the people supporting the vaccine mandate.

          2. AH

Nothing was taken away from you. You want to kill a baby, go to a state that allows it. The same way it was before leftist activist judges changed the constitution.

        3. LOL

Nobody is stopping you from buying a guy, Einstein. Go cry in a corner. Maybe Baymax can bring you a tissue.

      4. Bma

The problem is there is there is no need for a man to use them. We’re this an adult show, it wouldn’t be a problem but no need to confuse kids.

        1. Sasha

So a trans man that hasn’t had corrective surgery can’t get a period because…. They look like a man? That makes sense.

          1. Steve

The word you are looking for is woman.

      5. Par

Transpeople. What a strange way to put it. There are two sexes. Male or female. Scientifically you can’t change the genetics. Stop catering to those sick enough to believe that nonsense. It is a mental illness period.
This show is geared for preschoolers. They have not need to have to ask parents about these products at this stage in their life. stop trying to make them believe false scientific fact.

      6. naomi

Kudos for at least acknowledging that they are women that want to be men and not men.
        👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

        1. Steve

There are also humans that want to be dragons, but we should not cater to those delusions, either.

          1. Kevin

I want to be Klingon High Commander. Does anyone know where I can go for corrective head ridge surgery?

          2. Steve

            You go, warrior brother.

      7. Consider Parents

Uh…except “The Story of Menstruation” was marketed to PRETEENS in the public school systems. I was in the sixth grade when they showed it in Sex Ed (so maybe 11 or 12 years old). Also, there is no hidden agenda with “The Story of Menstruation.” It is no secret what that program is about, it is IN THE TITLE and very transparent! It is clear that preteens are the intended audience (IMHO), not my 4 year old. Sorry, but it is ok for PARENTS to choose what content is age appropriate for their own children, not DISNEY. What is wrong with that? They could at least put a disclaimer or something at the beginning to let parents know this show depicts frank discussions about puberty.

        1. Kevin

Agree 100%. Now some left wing nut on here is going to accuse me of being an -ist or a -phobic. Watch.

    2. CK

      Agree!

    3. Yeah right…

You should never have had kids, Brad, if you can’t answer simple questions like that.

  4. Steve

I am sure that will make normal people to sign up to Disney+, just like the lesbian kiss filled those seats for Lightyear.

Chapek and his leftist underlings have to go.

    1. Sasha

Boy, are you going to loose your mind when you find out that most people in the company are and have always been liberal.

      1. Steve

Literally no idea what you are talking about. Disney was a very conservative company until Iger got his paws on it.

  5. Dan

This company has lost 50% of its stock value in a year. It’s not gaining any new Disney+ subscribers. And they keep doubling down on this nonsense. It’s literally every single show and movie they put out now. And they aren’t even good stories! These activist writers at Disney only care about politics and social activism. This stuff has become unwatchable. It’s too much. Just get back to focusing on entertainment and fix your darn rides that keep breaking down!!!!!

    1. Steve

It is going to take a hostile takeover to fix Disney at this point.

    2. Yeah right…

      Dan, you are a liar.
Disney+ subscribers are steadily rising. Which is why Netflix if scared now.

  6. Paul

    Son: “What’s a period?”
Me: “Don’t worry about that – you’re six.”
Son: “But, they said it in the episode.” [i.e., I need to know to understand what’s happening]

This awkward conversation with my six-year-old brought to our household by Baymax! Thanks, Disney.

    1. Sasha

Maybe if more boys got this lesson, it wouldn’t be as embarrassing when a girl gets her first period in school and then gets ridiculed and bullied by all the boys in class

    2. LOL

Then Paul lets his six year old son watch Thor: Ragnarok where they talk about a spaceship used for “orgies.”

      1. Kevin

And you know Paul let his son watch Thor for fact how exactly? Keep projecting it makes me LOL at you.

  7. Ben

Same here. This is really gross now.

  8. Al

I cancelled my Disney LGBTQRSTUV+ subscription.

    1. Yeah right…

      Bye, moron.

      1. Steve

Are you the spammer that accused me of being spam?

  9. Naomi

    WTF.
    Seriously.
1st. Men can not menstruate, I can say that because I am a woman.
Woman menstruate, women dressed as men can menstruate. Men can not menstruate.
2nd. Why on earth would I want to have a conversation with a 5 year old about menstruating. As a mom of 3 I can for sure say that that much info is too much.
And could be traumatizing. That is a subject for preteens. That’s almost as bad as the schools trying to teach my 4th grader about HIV and other STDs. We opted out. We have opted out of Disney plus all together also.
From the looks for their stock and the complete bomb of Buzz Lightyear I can safely say that seems to be the general consensus.

    1. Sasha

So… a trans man that hasn’t had surgery yet can’t menstruate because they look like a man? Lololol

      1. Steve

        Woman. You mean woman.

    2. Be Nice

      Naomi,
I totally agree your points are right on and to the point!
Because you said it straight forward, I think this is the best place to clarify something:
I need to point out as I am reading these comments it has come up many times about girls at a young age starting their periods and yes it does happen BUT that is something for the MOTHER to discuss with the daughter if it happens early. There is also some medical conditions that cause girls to go through early puberty but there are treatments and again that is a discussion the parents need to decide how to handle.
As Naomi alluded to this is something for parents to decide the age for their children to learn this stuff NOT Disney!

  10. Katy

This was sooo sweet and super cute. I love Baymax. If your children are confused, you are the problem.

    1. Sasha

      Bingo!

  11. Naomi

If it was truly 25% it wouldn’t be regional or generational. It would be across the board and it’s not. It’s millennials and gen x in California and NewYork😂

    1. Steve

It is a personality flaw or shares psychosis.

  12. S1

Trans women are women, for the back TRANS WOMEN ARE WOMEN

    1. Steve

Yelling isn’t going to make your delusion reality. It is just going to make more people realize you are deranged.

  13. EricJ

“One package was given by a customer with a shirt representing the trans flag.”

    …OO! It’s REPRESENTATION!
They’re being accepted by pop culture, and changing the face of animated television! ;p

(And once again, “LGBT Pride” proves to be an oxymoron of desperation…)

  14. Tobalaz

If Disney wants to target a much smaller subset of their audience, then they themselves and those people shouldn’t get upset when things don’t get the numbers they do when a movie or show is made with everyone in mind.
It’s like getting p*ssed off vegan hotdogs aren’t selling in a steakhouse.
If Disney wants to drive away customers and get itself banned in certain countries more power to them.

  15. Tobalaz

One more thing, it’s kind of funny Big Hero Six was basically the Japanese Avengers and Baymax was a genetically engineered artificial humanoid bodyguard that turned into a lizard creature and literally ripped people apart, and now he’s a fluffy health care robot.
I liked him much better in the comics… Think I’ve still got those around here somewhere.

  16. Steve

No, it really isn’t, and if you think it is, you need to pay more attention.

  17. Kevin

Tells people to calm down yet drops four F-bombs in her(?) post. Unintended ironic comedy like that is priceless. You should really take your own advice before you have a coronary.

  18. Kevin

Someone please delusionally defend this and tell me this somehow isn’t taking away the innocence of being a child and having them face the real world before they are ready to. I most likely won’t respond but I am sure the responses will be comedy gold.

    1. Steve

      OK I will try.

Children won’t want to watch it because it will be as bad as all new Disney media. Those ones who do will be young enough to have no idea what is going on beyond “LOOK BAYMAX, BUG WHITE ROBOT!” and eating their own boogers.

  19. Millennial Falcon

    Disney:
Uses worldwide platform to promote media offerings telling stories which validate the existence of individuals struggling with a disorder that is able to be diagnosed per its official inclusion in the DSM-V.

Most of the people in this comment section:
Grew up in the American public education system, and therefore now find that they lack the mental capacity to grasp the concept that the words “male/males” and “man/men” are not just various interchangeable terms used to describe people who possess certain secondary sex characteristics.

  20. No82

These groomers are gonna groom themselves right into bankruptcy. Smh.

  21. M. R

Ignoring all the hostile arguments and comments, Baymax is a Health Care robot. Perhaps Honey Lemon, Go-Go, or Aunt Cass sent him out to pick up the merchandise because they were not feeling well enough to do so themselves. That would be less embarassing for all the male characters from the show doing it for them.

  22. L

Did they not learn anything from what a flop Lightyear was?

  23. A

Kind of hilarious yet sad, to see people in these comments saying with a straight face that someone who needs feminine hygiene products is actually a man. I can identity as an elephant if I choose. Would the right thing to do for me be to pump me full of drugs that would cause my teeth to elongate into something tusk-like, my skin to toughen and turn gray, chop my nose off and sew on something that appeared more like a trunk and keep patting my hand and telling me I was definitely an elephant….or…get me to a mental health professional and perhaps I could work through whatever trauma or deep-seated issue I had that was telling me that my life would magically be better if I just changed into something else. Good grief, that’s why we have such a high suicide rate among those who put themselves through sex-change surgery. They cut themselves to pieces physically and mentally and realize that nothing really changed. They still feel that same hole inside that nothing they went through helped with. People need real help, not someone who just goes along with the delusion or we will continue to lose precious lives to suicide.
