Disney needs to do more than apologize. They should pay Johnny back pay and reinstate him. How dare they cash in on his iconic look to make more money on him. What loosers! The public needs an official apology also and do the right thing!
Back pay and give the Cap’n his rendezvous beyond the horizon in the next POTC (6) he deserves and in which he greatly anticipated… Absolutely Disneys quick decision hurt alot of people not just Johnny but the DEPP viewers.
They have stuck their nose in to many situations that are really not advantageous to them and YES they should apologize and reinstate him with back pay or a bonus for resigning. Shame on this crowd they are killing the Disney we have all loved for years

This is completely wrong to use Johnny Depp and his portrayal of Captain Jack Sparrow after Disney clearly hung him out to dry and openly convicted him before a court of law could rule on the case! Even if you own the rights to Jack sparrow you should not use Johnny Depp‘s image after you fired him because of Amber herds allegations which have been proven to be untrue!!! How much more does Johnny Depp have to be disrespected, humiliated, and defamed????? Shame on you Disney!!!

They own the character and can do with it what they want. Now, if there is a clause in his contracts that states he is to be paid royalties every time his image is used then they need to make sure to cut those checks, but they don’t need his permission.
Would it be nice for them to make a statement regarding Johnny? Sure… but that too, is between the Corp and Johnny. We don’t know what the future has in store, but we’ll see.

Disney needs to ADMIT they were wrong and apologize to Johnny. HE is the one who made the franchise. HE is the one who made them MILLIONS with not ONLY the box office,but with merchandise. HE is THE ONLY CAPTAIN JACK SPARROW, and this reboot idea? It would depend on his contract. He may have given permission to use his likeness since they paid him for the movies . I’m sure his Lawyer will be on top of this.
I personally think it’s in very pour taste unless they intend to use him in the next movie..No-one could replace his acting . I would boycott the movie with out him in it…
They should definitely apologize more for letting him go. Pay him for what he could have made. You won’t find another Jack Sparrow like Johnny Depp. His role he owns it and they owe him big time. I think it’s complete bulls*** that they dropped him before knowing what the outcome was going to be.
