If you’re going to confuse Johnny Storm (the Human Torch) with another Marvel hero, Johnny Blaze is one to do it with!

Amen! Some people don’t do their research before reporting on a story. Huge typo- this would have been corrected before it printed in the 80’s and early 90’s.

So let’s go with the “I’m 20 years older” comment…

Instead of him playing Johnny Storm, do an Invaders movie, and have him play the ORIGINAL Human Torch!

Phil, That is a freaking amazing idea! An Invaders movie set in WWII with Cap, Namor, Human Torch, Toro, Bucky. Throw in Union Jack and Spitfire. I’d watch eight movies of that!

Surprisingly, Evans reveals that Marvel hasn’t even asked the actor to return as Johnny Blaze since the Multiverse has become a possibility:

Tell us you don’t know anything about comics without telling us you don’t know anything about comics.

Right? God this is the problem with “digital journalists,” they half ass everything and can’t even take the 15 seconds it takes to properly edit/research something, yet they’re assigned to a particular niche.

I totally agree. That comment shows a lack of research on the writer’s behalf.

I’m not going to say I wouldn’t love to see him as Johnny again, I’m one of those weirdos that really enjoyed those FF movies and Johnny and Ben were a huge reason, but I don’t think it will happen. I think most fans, myself included, will have a hard time separating Chris from Cap. If anything I would like to see him play an alternate version of Steve. I think they laid the ground for Patriot, minus the fact they aged him. For those who don’t know Patriot was a role that Cap took on a couple of occasions when Steve was disillusioned by the US government but couldn’t/wouldn’t stop being a soldier/hero.
