When will it stop?! She-Hulk is supposed to be muscular, she’s a Hulk! Now there’s talk of Marvel cancelling Captain Britain, this being only the latest series on the boycott list (the overwhelming majority of which involve female characters), complaints about Jane getting her turn as Thor (she had her own, very successful, comic run). It’s always a very loud minority of individuals somehow influencing what happens and it needs to end.

    1. Handsome Jack

‘very successful comic run’… lol no.. the NOW to ANAD era were absolute failures financially for Marvel Comics.

    2. Azza

Thor is a freakin man!!! This Neo Marxist agenda to undermine and replace all iconic male heroes is getting old.
Comics are the first place where leftist propaganda hits, the source material. Iron man being replaced by a 15 year old girl of colour (how ‘woke’) and Thor being replaced by a 150 pound girl is ludicrous. Jane Foster was cool and interesting as a scientist. Forcing women into masculine roles does not make them ‘strong women’ it just creates an unrelatable character. Women characters who show nurturing, motherly or caring qualities as well as courage and mental strength are appealing because it reflects their evolutionary, primal role, just as strong combative, assertive warrior men are appealing.
Take Ripley from aliens, she displayed motherly qualities toward Newt, caring attraction toward Hicks and exceptional resilience and courage. A female hero done right, she didn’t have to overpower men twice her size or take on an alien in hand to hand (without load lifter).
Unfortunately the deep state wants to feminise men and masculine women in order to make men and women incompatible, leading to less marriages and less families or more broken families. With no family to turn to people will turn to the state in times of crisis. It’s all about control.

      1. dr3dg3

Grow up, there is no “Deep State”. Trust me, it’s not some “Neo Marxist” agenda that’s making you incompatible with others.

        1. kay

You are the poor soul that needs to have their eyes and mind opened. Indoctrination has taken your entire lifetime, undoing it will be extremely difficult, but not impossible. You just need the truth.

        2. Azza

Wake up simpleton. Obviously there’s a deep state. Do you think the deep seated long standing power networks that entrenched themselves behind the scenes like the central banking oligarchy are going to say “hey, let’s let the people decide who runs things”. No.
You obviously need to reread my comment. I said destruction of gender roles makes MEN and WOMEN less compatible with each other leading to the destruction of the family.
Divide and conquer is the deep state MO and NPC snowflake numpties fall for it hook line and sinker. Sorry to break it to you but the government doesn’t love you, Covid is just a flu, global warming is a scam and 911 was a controlled demolition.

      2. BadWolf

You’re only part right. All that nonsense about Neo Marxist and Deep State, blah, blah, blah… Has nothing to do with it. The problem is in this time, all the over sensitive idiots running around getting upset over pointless crap, has become the new trend. Making female characters to be more equal and balanced, has been going on for decades. Its not a conspiracy.

      3. Big Migz

Preach on n get ready 4 the hate from sleepwalking idiots who swear they’re woke.

      4. Ace

Why is geek culture filled with racist sexist idiotic incels? Die off already.

      5. Plant

        Misogyny at its finest

      6. Joseph Brooke

Yeah, no one wants to see a 150 pound woman, seriously, muscles look good on men, just like how dresses and feminine attire look good on woman, literally no one wants to see She-Hulk because of the CGI.

      7. Bruce

She is a hulk. with the full intellect of Jennifer Walters, but a hulk. She should be huge. There are plenty of normal sized strong women in the MCU. They don’t need to compromise this character to make her more accessible looking.

    3. NYTony

Just a coupke of things. Captain Britain is rhe male counterpart of Captain America, Captain Carter is the multiversal version where Peggy got the serum instead of Steve. Second, who’s complaining about Jane Foster becoming the Mighty Thor? All the marvel fan circles I know and check in on are discussing if she’s the Jane from the first 2 Thor movies and if so how did she fix the hammer, OR is she a Jane foster from somewhere in the multiverse and if so, how’d she get here. All the male fans I know are excited to find out what’s going on. So maybe get off of 4Chan or whereever biggots hang out and start checking in on real fans.

Fans watch everything marvel puts out. And hope for success. I STILL want to see a live action Miles Morals, Spider Gwen, Black Cat, Medusa (from the inhumans), an accurately buff She-hulk, more of the new Black widow, more of the new (female) Hawkeye, yes more of the multivers with Captain Carter. Sue Richards from the FF, more of the Marvels – Kamala Khan, Monica Rambo, and Captain Marvel. Not to mention the femal members of Guardians of the Galaxy, with maybe a spin off centering on Gamora. Yes I may have mispelled some of their names but that was just off the top of my head. I’m male and would love to see these characters shine on screen. In solo movies or as leads in ensemble films like Sue Richards would be in a FF film. Real Men are not intimidated by strong female characters or real strong women for that matter. Real men find a stong woman attractive.

      1. JOhn

Nobody complains that Jane Foster had the hammer. Most people just point out that Thor is her ex-boyfriend’s name and she shouldn’t call her cell for ex-boyfriends name cuz that’s creepy.

        1. Derek

Technically the hammer clearly says the owner is “Thor.”

        2. Joseph Brooke

Female Thor will never replace Thor Odinsson.

    4. Juny

You are the loud minority. She Hulk now looks like she originally did. If you want to lust after the overly muscular man looking She Hulk just lust after the Hulk.

      1. North

This is basically like saying women shouldn’t be muscular because it would make them look like a man WTF

        1. Derek

And if you’ve seen female body builders, guess what they inject when they “Cheat?” Hint: Something that makes you more “Manly.”

    5. JOhn

What happened to this website? Ever since the comment section changed its become utter trash.

If they had really wanted to make She-Hulk for Fanboys they would have given her a thick ass and thighs skinny waist big boobs like a gigantic Pamela Anderson in her prime.

All they did is not make her freakishly huge like they did in those pathetic comic books for gender weirdos.

      1. Derek

You must work at this crap hole.

    6. Javier

she was never like the Hulk you’re an idiot

    7. Butlet

      Have you considered killing yourself?

      1. Derek

        He’s not wrong.

  2. Handsome Jack

nice projecting your own ‘fragility’. Disney is a business, they make princesses. You make it sound like ALL woman like grotesque bodybuilders. Disney’s probably concerned it’d be too much ‘body horror’ genre.

    1. CalledIt

      Yep. Bigots and sexists
particularly white male ones think everything is for themselves.

      1. JOhn

        WhItE maLe.

      2. Javier

        “White ones”. Nice racism

      3. Anthony

Actually if you do some reading, you will discover their test audiences; the women didn’t like it. And obviously she-hulk is about attracting more female viewers to the superhero genre.
Most of the men wanted her more muscled – not because it’s sexy, but because it’s consistent with the hulk character.
As for comment on “white”? Please leave your racist comments at home

        1. Rich

Your 100% Correct, True Marvel Fans want the characters to be represented accurately like in the comics, not toned down because some executive that’s probably never read a Marvel Comic He’s intimidateby strong women. They’re being strong female characters in Marvel since the beginning.

And yet woke know nothing 20 something’s sit home and whine incessantly.

  3. EricJ

Remember, it’s the FAN’S fault if they complain.
Marvel shows are holy and blameless, and allowed to roam the streets of New Delhi as incarnations of the Vishnu.

(And it was disappointed to find out it was just about the design.
Let’s just say that one’s pretty far down on my long list of complaints…)

  4. Taskmaster

It doesent matter they’ll end up messing the chsracter up having her be a feminist lesbian lover to apease the troll LGBT disney crowd 😆

    1. EricJ

But I thought they got RID of the misandric psychopath showrunner who had never read the comic, and replaced her with a Ms. Marvel writer instead!

    2. CalledIt

Old white male bigot threatened. Sad.

      1. Miguel

For a name like called it you sure sound like a moron.

      2. JdWhis

It’s funny how all your comments are just hating on white people. What made you decide to become a racist bigot? Did you hear the phrase fight fire with fire and decided to fight dying out racism with new racism? If so you’re an idiot, any firefighter can tell you that fighting fire with fire just gets you and those around you BURNT

      3. Derek

This is the go to when you can’t make an argument. God this generation. Has fragile losers.

  5. Indifferent

I wanted her to be huge. 6’7″ is only 3 inches taller than me. I want a mega green goddess to simp for. And now I hear Natalie Portman is wearing fake arms Thor… My heart is broken. All I want is buff Natalie Portman! I need a Leon sequel!!!!

    1. JOhn

      Lady Dimitrescu fan confirmed.

  6. Darcsyde

As a Shulkophile from waaaay back during her “Savage” run I have to point out that, until recently, Jen was never drawn to be as big as the Hulk, or even all that “jacked”.
She was originally drawn to be built more like a (to use an old term) a “fitness model “.
So, IMHO, they’re just trying to make her look more like she did during the Byrne and Slott runs .

    1. Duh. These comic panels in this post look not Sue-Hulk at all.

  7. RealMarvelNotDisneyMarvel

How in the world is the decision of executives to make the character smaller the fans fault? I see no protests going on asking for this. So maybe roll back your hate a little and change your title.

    1. NYTony

Exactly, I see more people wanting her to be more buff like recent comic runs have had her.

      1. Juny

Why would anyone want that. Besides the long hair & bra the overly muscular version of She Hulk looked like the Hulk.

      2. Javier

Not at all, we don’t want a woman that looks like a man

  8. Dusk

They can do whatever they want. I’m a fan of Marvel, but only selected heroes (Iron Man, Capt. America, Spiderman, Ant Man, Thor, Venom). I won’t be watching She-Hulk. Gotta note because I know people will jump to conclusions. I’m not white and I’m not American.

    1. CalledIt

You are also a sexist. Congrats.

      1. Ryan Gamis

        That’s not sexism you dolt.

        1. Derek

This idiot is posting on every dissenting opinion this trash.

  9. Dave

You’ll all still fap to it.

  10. Bob

Hardcore fans sustain series in the long run. Enough too much wokeness is becoming rather tiresome to the masses even the shareholders are waking up to that fact.

    1. CalledIt

LMFAO! You old white bigots still think everything is about you. Boy you truly are clueless and sad.

      1. Ryan Gamis

The only bigot present is the one out here trying to call people clueless and sad. That’s a bigoted response. The hypocrisy is strong with this one…

Also ironic how you think everything should be about you and what you like. Again, hypocrisy at its finest.

      2. Imcalledit_Duh

Go out and say that to people in the real world, you little gnat.

      3. Derek

Be honest, you’re 19 and wear nail polish because you’re so woke. 😂

    2. Ace

Just say you don’t like women, gays, and minorities.

If the hardcore fans are like you, god help Marvel. Or just end it.

      1. Endolphins87

Wah wah. Cry more soy drinker.

Not that we don’t like minorities it’s the way Marvel is going about it, not even making it subtle in the slightest.

  11. NYTony

Alex, with all due respect, your article title is 1, wrong, and 2 screams sexisim. First Marvel “Fanboys” want the characters to be AS COMICS ACCURATE as possible. So no, Marvel “fanboys” are not happy with this crappy innacurate CGI. So 2, assuming that this was done to protect the egos of male fans, is in itself a sexist stereotyping and as wrong as the decisions of the executives that kept askibg for her to be smaller. Comics fans don’t want that. They are trying to appeal to, ahem, women with the whole comedy “legally blond” take on She-Hulk. So yeah, maybe they were protecting the fragile egos of women who felt they couldn’t compare to the buffness of a comics accurate version of her, cause it sure doesn’t appeal to me and any other fan of the comics that I know.

    1. Endolphins87

Wah wah. Cry more soy drinker.

    2. Endolphins87

      Wrong person sorry lol

  12. kay

    Make her gone

  13. senesene

Wtf is up with the title? How does “executives demand” become what fanboys want?

  14. May S.

Marvel ought to listen to the fans. Sorry to say, but, it’s those pesky “fanboys” (and probably fangirls as well) who want the character to be as comic-accurate as possible. And no, that isn’t “sExiSt”. It’s called “having love & respect for a beloved character”. Disney ought to take note from the recent Sonic the Hedgehog movies. We all remember “Ugly Sonic” do we not? Remember how the fans complained (myself included) & the studio behind the movie actually listened & completely overhauled the Blue Blur’s first design and created a MUCH better version? Look at how successful that made the first movie! (After the sequel, it’s been confirmed that a 3rd movie is in the works!) Fans are allowed to criticize a bad take on a popular character. That doesn’t make them bad people. And as a woman myself, I’m exhausted by the constant trashing & character assassination of decent men whose only “sin” is daring to complain against anything woke. Trashing the dedicated fans is both lazy and just a terrible business model overall. And please, change the hateful title if possible. Hate leads to the Dark Side.

  15. JOhn

What happened to this website? Ever since the comment section changed its become utter trash.

All they did is not make her freakishly huge like they did in those pathetic comic books for gender weirdos.

  16. Devin

She needs to be muscular. Not sure why she can’t look sexy and strong at the same time. She’s a hulk for goodness sake

  17. JinchurikiJay26

I’ve said it before and will say it again this Alex guy who’s making these blogs has loads of ignorance and poor judgement with his bias

  18. Dayne

Called It… you are the biggest sexist and racist on here. Every single comment of yours bashes white males. Whatever happened to you I’m sorry and I hope you are able to get over it eventually because you are really angry and broken.

  19. Bruce

Who cares it’s a freaking cartoon.

  20. JC

Nope. The comic images posted are terrible examples of She Hulk comics where she is poorly written and intentionally exaggerated to male-like proportions. The current Netflix version hearkens back to her classic look, but especially the Byrne, David and Soule runs. It’s just unfinished and executed poorly.

  21. yeah no

you really need your job dont u writer?

  22. Dabir Dalton

Go woke go broke. Action films are made for the fans who actually pay to see them – which are men. And interesting enough women will not pay in enough numbers to watch another woman pretend to be a man.

    1. Bill

I just want to point out the chi in the trailer has been heavily criticized not praised. This article isn’t honest. Though she hulk should be more muscle. I agree with that.

      1. Bill moulton

I meant to say CGI not CHI. Typo lol

  23. Wait people thought she was to buff?
I thought she was to skinny honestly.
Have you seen her in the comics, she is even more muscular than Rhonda Rousey if you pay attention.
I don’t have a problem with her being muscular and I am a fan boy truth be told.
I feel like when you say “fanboys” you are rely talking about people who have insecurities and who don’t want a woman who is more muscular than they are.
They are not fans, true fans want the character to be accurate to the comics, and if she was muscular than she would be accurate.

  24. Disney Fans Privilege

Most of the complaints I’ve seen are that she was too lanky and not muscular enough. That and the face CGI is terrible.

  25. uri

Agreed. SHE-HULK during that phase was much less sizeable and never drawn to be as big as The HULK. Besides what does it matter. The strength is what’s key in regards to the She-Hulk form while she keeps her intellect and personality. Many strengh based super heroes of all genders were normal looking. Albeit she will transform into something bigger than normal. Just not obscenely huge like Hulk.

  26. Pat mac

She needs to be co ics correct, too much political correctness and crap these days

  27. Rusty

So fanboys (is that incel speak?) are leery of a huge She-Hulk?
    Poor babies.
In the end the film industry panders to their widest market whether it’s true to the source material

    1. Endolphins87

I am sure your wife’s/girlfriend’s boyfriend would approve of what you just typed out there.

Go back and drink your soy latte.

  28. Sonya

The shrill cries of nerds screaming foul about the “M she U” is a great way of ensuring nerds are the salty losers they get stereotyped as. Incels are gross.

    1. Endolphins87

Female Thor, Female Loki, Female Captain America/Britain and you put it in quotations as if it’s not true. Amusing.

      I am sure you’re a cat lady.

  29. twitterisforincels

Tell me you never seen, read or known about she-hulk and all her looks throughout the years without telling you know about she hulk.

Fake she-hulk fans go back to the rock you crawled under from.

  30. Joseph Brooke

Jane Foster’s muscles are fake anyway, and yeah, Marvel has to protect the feeling of fanboys, probably because LITERALLY MOST OF THE PEOPLE WHO WATCH MARVEL ARE MALE! GOD!
