    Absolutely. It showed big time.
Sam Raimi basically told these actors and other writers that their contributions don’t mean anything to him. The story was definitely off and I was wondering why they ruined Wanda’s story. Now I know why. The director refused to do their job. His future contract should stimulate that they watch ALL source material for a current cross-series storylines.

Yup. I’ve seen Wanda Vision and Dr. Strange and every MCU film and I am here to tell Sam Raimi and Michael Waldron that MOM – was awful.

    Same as what Huckleseed said.

How can you do a movie about Wanda without seeing all of Wanda’s screentime?

Great, the trailer shows Strange saying “he’s not here to talk about Westview,” but Westview, WandaVision and Agatha Harkness are key to the MCU and, more importantly, Wanda.

If using the Darkhold is key to Doctor Strange taking down the “main villain,” Enchantress…I’m sorry, Scarlet Witch…and Wong clearly knows about the Darkhold and the Scarlet Witch, then Raimi should have done his research.

I had hopes for this movie, but we all got trolled big time.

What the hell? Did Raimi watch Endgame? It didn’t make any sense to me why Wanda was only looking for her boys. Out of all of the infinite universes in the multiverse, surely she would be looking for one with both Vision and her boys, right? There must be a universe out there where Vision survived Thanos but Wanda didn’t, so she could just step right in without killing her other self. This seems so obvious that I was expecting her to say this when asked what she would do to other Wanda. I also kept waiting for her to ask other Wanda where the boys’ father was!

Also correct. I’ve listened to writer Michael Waldron try to explain – he is arrogant and hard headed. He can’t hold a candle to the Marcus and McFeely. Endgame was a masterpiece. Waldron needs to go back to Rick and Morty cartoons.

Apparently the article writer and commenters have no idea how movies are made. As far as “in the trailer…” trailers are edited by marketing and promotions. Cherry picking a line is what they do. As far as Wanda “suddenly* turning evil – did YOU not watch WandaVision? I think there are quite a few characters forced to live sitcom lives who would disagree with you. There are issues with the movie especially if you are looking at it through an MCU cuck lens, but Sam Raimi not watching every minute of WandaVision isn’t the problem.

Sam Raimi is the new Rian Johnson.

OMG, writer states his disdain for one of the greatest directors of our age dares bypassing the cookie cutter process of the money making machine & tries to do something original or not be too swayed by outside factors
Some might say that maybe a breath of fresh air… That Marvel hired someone with some balls for a change

One of the greatest directors of our age? Are you serious? Raimi can be fun camp, and he did a decent job with the first two spidermen, but “greatest directors of our age?”

That cookie-cutter process that he felt like he could skip was knowing the character arc, motivations, and nuances that happen with a well-told story as a whole. Raimi didn’t feel like he owed anything to the existing character or story and he the lack of work shows.

Yes!! It is painfully obvious that he didn’t watch it. As soon as the movie ended, I said… I liked it the first time when it was called Wanda Vision. It’s almost the exact same plot. Her issues were already resolved in Wanda Vision when she released the hold on the town and realized that she couldn’t act like that. What a flicking waste. I waited so long for this movie to come out and I’m grossly disappointed.

Did you miss that the series ended with her using the darkhold and rather not subtly showing it effected her?

    You people are idiots.

    1. Toby

      You’re a delusional fanboy.

      1. Abe

Oh, I would’ve loved to hear how you came to that conclusion.

I guess because I’m a mom and watched Wandavision probably six times in the last year while waiting for the new Dr. Strange, I see things differently. Should he have watched it? Yeah of course. Were there other writers who likely did, most definitely

Wanda is displaying evil traits well before Dr. Strange 2 in Wandavision. Agatha literally tells her that she is not supposed to exist, that she is chaos and dangerous.
Vision sees the people who are frozen and can’t move in the Halloween episode. The commercial in that same episode describes that without intervention those people will die. When Wanda is confronted in town by Agatha and the towns people have the ability to speak of their own accord, you hear them begging to see children and to leave. She knowingly or not was doing evil things.
She took Agatha’s pets, could have left her there and instead made her suffer.
When Wanda has the dream in Dr. Strange and she’s tucking the boys in bed, it’s a call back to her being forced to say goodbye to them.
She is a grieving mother, I wouldn’t even truly consider her to be evil, she was desperate. She was committing evil actions to obtain her goals, no doubt. But in this regard, I put her in the same category as Mr. Freeze from Batman. All he wants is a cure for his wife, he isn’t confrontational unless something is in his way. Same here, Wanda tells strange outright, I don’t want to harm anyone, but if you get in my way, I won’t hold back.

As for the dark hold, we knows it’s corrupting from Dr. Strange 1.

It’s perfectly okay to dislike a movie, but if you walked out of this feeling like there wasn’t foundation, you weren’t paying enough attention.
