The ride here in the states is called the Himalaya and when I was younger and went to these travelling carnivals the operators would do this all the time.

Doesn’t make the action correct, though. Monkey see, monkey do. Someone’s eventually, or already, getting face planted.

      1. Puckles

        Shut up. Karen.

    2. Marilyn Stacy

We learn how to do that because just in case. We do that on every ride.

he looks real cool and tell his head splatters on the pavement in front of a little kid.. as for the guy jumping on tubes if he did that to me i’d punch him in the twig n berries

There’s way worst things going on in the world right now people… Take a chill pill.. I’m 40 now and ride attendants have been doing that on the hymalaya since I was a kid… Find something better to worry about..THERE’S PLENTY!!

      2. Puckles

so, these are the carnivals you remember, they are tradition in Germany where that guy is from. they know exactely what they r doing. what ever happened on those rides, it was never one of the worcers collecting the drive chips

It was always what fairground workers did when I was younger it made the rides more fun ,just my opinion

      What magic is this inside?

      1. Hl

This is literally designed to be part of the entertainment. The reason for the foot board running down the side way past the actual passenger space.

People really need to shut up sometimes

  3. Anthony

“Terrifying! Dangerous!” Relax. This man is cool as hell and probably trained to be able to do this in case of an emergency. Doing it for the guest’s entertainment as well makes him awesome.

He is not cool he is a carny..most are low lifes

      1. Mark L Sheldon, YOU are the low-life, for making a remark like that!!! Who the hell are YOU to judge people you don’t even know? You’re nothing but a pile of poo.

      2. Buggawoof

Wow judge much.. low life why would you even go there . They have a job and work hard and travel having to do a ton of labor to provide fun to family’s in American county’s and small Towns.. You are mean parents didn’t teach you if you don’t have anything nice to say ShUT YOUR MOUTH!! Mine did but they also taught me to stick up for people and everyone is created equal in God’s Eyes

    1. Mark L Sheldon, and I hope someone punches YOU in the twig and berries!!!! You certainly deserve it.

The first one is obviously either sped up or reversed, take a look at the end of the video, no normal human walks like that lol

None of this is endangering guests. It’s common practice, actually. At German carnivals, the operators do this at the beginning of every ride to collect the tokens so you’re allowed on the ride, and often check that all guests are doing okay. I don’t understand the outrage about this.

  7. Robert

Call the fun police and get these guys shut down! We won’t stand for this. Relax Debbie Downer they obviously know what they’re doing while doing it with style and panache. It’s called showmanship… get over it!

  8. jr

Chill out! The guy knows what he’s doing! He is young & in good shape! That is the problem nowadays with society!
No one knows how to let go & have fun

  9. Lord have mercy , people get so bent out of shape over the smallest s*** , it’s a carnival ride and the operators get interactive with the crowd and or riders , in no way did he endanger anyone by jumping on for a 3 second go around , there are a few people in these comments too with their panties shoved way to far up their rear end

I was a sometimes ride operator at an amusement park I worked at for 6 years. This happens all the time. When I worked the carousel, I regularly would hop on from the outside, hop off the inside, walk across and go back out. No big deal. Once on a very dead day, both of us coaster operators started the ride, hopped in, and rode around with an empty station.

Sad that you have not a clue what you are talking about or a thing about physics. This has been done in every fair across the country since at the minimum the mid 70s. Accidents to date 0. Push your narrative though.

That day…. “screw the rules, I’ll do what I wan’t”

After he breaks his leg and gets fired. “…..but but but it’s not fair, they never tried to stop me. Evil cooperation screwing the little guy again”
