I completely agree. Most people could care less which superheros this character idolizes because most don’t care about this character at all! Marvel needs to continue focusing on it’s blockbuster characters like the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, a T’Challa version of Black Panther…even Alpha Flight before they start catering to a bunch of second rate younger superheros who are pale knockoffs from the originals. Most big time Marvel and do not want this. Only the Twitter equality complainers care about these second rate heros. Create more original diverse heros in the books that traders fall in love with, and then once they build up their own genuine fan base do you bring them to live action. Out perhaps test them out in don’t direct to video animated format first, yet not this B-character crap in the MCU being paraded as top tier A-list characters. Phase 4 has mostly sucked thus far in comparison to the other phases due to many of these characters they’ve decided to focus on. Ms. Marvel and the Eternals are prime examples. And now, not only are we not getting Hulk lead projects before She-Hulk gets the spotlight, yet we’re getting a dulled CGI version of the character, and the actress they picked was a poor choice in my opinion.
At the risk of unleashing your unbridled internet rage…who asked you for your opinion? Personally I’d like to see Ms. Marvel do her thing…squirrel girl too for that matter. Just because you don’t want it doesn’t mean nobody eles dose. That’s the cool thing about opinions we all have one and they all stop mattering when it reaches someone else. On that disappointment…have a wonderful day
I can’t help but mention that the article did absolutely nothing to warn for spoilers. Not everyone has seen Multiverse of Madness yet. This was really disappointing, and I’ll be avoiding articles by this writer from now on.
Why cant they do these smaller character shows and make the bigger scale movies with the big characters…like theyve been doing..
And it takes a long time to make a movie so why not in the meantime we get little shows that fit all together… it hurts no one. Dont watch it if you dont want it
I understand what Kevin Feige is trying to do but I believe the response from the box office has answered these questions. People love fun super hero movies. They don’t want to be preached to and they don’t want to see their heroes made to look bumbling or stupid just because they’re men so they can raise up a woman. Plenty of amazing women have led movies in the past without doing this. Just write a good script that is fun and partners heroes together. Stop trying to push “the message”.
Exactly. They are ruining MCU! I’m to the point where I have absolutely no interest in any new MCU shows and movies. They are ruining them! Why the heck are they making every character a woman? Why can’t we keep the males and introduce the female hero’s such as Ms marvel, captain marvel, etc. why does captain America, Thor, iron man etc have to turn into women? I love the old avengers and MCU.
Over reaction? Maybe I reading it wrong – but my take was not that they could not reference RDJ Iron Man – just that they need to dial it back a bit. Maybe it was overkill originally? Again – unless I misunderstood.
Nah Kevin is pushing the new house message that nobody including those few they are catering to are listening. Eternals failure for most studios would’ve been a okay let’s get back to what we do best. But when your revenue is billions what’s a few hundred million on a promo. I long for the days of a enjoyable experience mindless lost in great storytelling it seems those days may never come from Hollywood again.
Superhero movies are not great storytelling…and if it’s the original heros you like, their stories have been told. At best, all you could hope for are comic runs that did well with the same characters in a different arc…even that gets old quickly.
I have never seen any of these movies. They do not interest me at all. Maybe if I had kids, it might be different. I understand these movies make a ton of money! I would have to say that the only thing I appreciate about some of these movies are Robert Downey JR! Have a great day everyone!
Actually, I think she’s pretty much saying that all somebody hurt Brian’s feelings. All these people being a snowflake because they include people who aren’t like them. Get over it!
To stay on topic, I think dialing back the Ironman specific fangirling makes sense. Fans read repeated references as hints RDJ might show up. Plus, Ironheart is still coming.
I loved every single connection until the Avengers Endgame.
It was a Ride , 23 Movies.
After that i enjoyed Wanda vision and Loky very much ,
And of course, every Spiderman movie.
But now, they are ruining MCU, changing things, like chsracters and powers. Stop that Mr Feige and read the comics please.
I think they should, if they are going to do this show regardless of whether anyone says they want it or not, then they should have references to Ironman. Don’t make it seem like me never existed. That makes his sacrifice in vain. He left a legacy for other hero’s to aspire to and they should leave in the references.
Hey just wanted to throw this out,
If you have a tv remote that you can talk to to find a movie??
We to my surprise I said “Iron Man. It will go to that movie then suddenly I hear RDJ saying “I am Iron Man”
So any of you reading this try it and tell me if you heard it.
Personally I’m looking forward to this movie for the Monica Rambeau captain marvel, who is the Captain Marvel I grew up with. I hope they don’t make her powers too much like Carol Danvers.
And I can see making Kamala an Iron Man fan girl could make her seem like a gender-swapped Peter Parker who was far more Iron Man influenced than I would have preferred.
Unless you have been a Long time reader of the MU then u may not understand that Diversity is a common theme in the MU and this is what makes it Amazing to read and follow. There are books that I don’t read or follow but others do and that is GOOD for comics. Also, there MUST be seperation between the Comic U and The Movie U.
If u a NOT gonna give any of these shows a chance then why r u here?Lets kick the “hatetrolls” to the curb and move on.
I hate to break it to you, but the movie stories are supposedly taking place on Earth-616, the comics’ Earth, as according to some line in Dr. Stranger Dangerling 2. But I don’t know, I never saw it.
I don’t know why they are hurting continuity. Keep her an Inhuman. It will help in putting together a cohesive storyline in the future. Don’t become DC.
Feige & the show runners likely ruin the chances of ever seeing Wendell Vaughn’s Quasar on screen by changing Kamala from a stretchy character, to instead basically having the Quantum bands. So Marvel’s REAL agenda is token diversity at the expense of long term fans by literally cannibalizing the source material to appeal to people who have never supported Marvel. This show ruins a dream character for me and it isn’t Kamala Khan.
I’m curious how you came by the knowledge of the demographic of the comments??? Did you do some research??? Or is more likely that you just what you hope it is so you justifie your world view??? Say wondering
Peaceful, conservative, patriots: I have nothing against nonwhite, female, LGBT heroes, just make new ones instead of changing straight white heroes.
MCU: Gives series to some of the more popular women characters
Peaceful, conservative, totally not bigoted patriots: Why give series to new token heroes before more established and popular white heroes?
MCU: We literally did. Look at surveys of the most popular Marvel heroes (both comic fan and general audience), and it’s Spiderman, X-Men, core Avengers, FF, the Punisher, Daredevil, Luke Cage, Deadpool… everyone who already had a major MCU, Sony, Netflix, or Fox release. The next most popular are guys like Morbius, Blade, Squirrel Girl, the new Ms. Marvel, the Prowler, and several Spider-man variants (2099, Miles, Superior, Khaine, and Ben Reilly). There are literally no “bigger heroes” left unless you’re arguing that we should be doing five more movies with RDJ as Iron Man before we do a Ms. Marvel movie.
Patriotic totally-not-trolls: That’s exactly what we’re saying. (If you think that’s a straw man, look at some of the actual comments here).
MCU: …
Iron-Patriots: Also, we’re not too happy about the Blade. Is it too late to recast him as someone a little less “urban”?
So the problem is, the writers don’t know how to transition out of the “Endgame”. It’s like they wrote themselves into a “No Comeback situation. And I blame a lot of this on caving to the woke. It will always be Captain Marvel. Stop changing the comics. They are supposed to bring the ink alive. Everyone is figuring out that the “Woke” represents a very very minute percentage of of sales. The world can be respectful. Without the Woke
Why didn’t anyone ever teach Black Bolt American Sign Language (ASL)? 3/4 of his angst would just blow away and he’d have to be reworked to stay somewhat interesting.
Honestly kinda BS if you ask me Ms. Marvel is literally supposed to be a fan girl so her fangirling over Iron Man makes a bunch of sense especially if you’ve seen any of the Marvel cartoon’s hell in Marvel’s Avenger’s she’s literally a big fan of the Averager’s.
Actually super stoked to see me marvel. Though I understand how obsessed she is with the avengers. Her obsession would have been for them like around AOU but that’s passed and dialing it back and having her fan girl over captain marvel. I think this all works out. Everyone complaining should just go write their own comics if they’re so upset. Oh wait…

It’s crazy. Look no further than to Moon Night and the stupid “are you an Egyptian super hero” line. Nobody ever talks like that.
