  1. Give me a break. This is just a ratings ploy like when DC killed Superman. The Spider-Verse will be back within a year or two. Tops. Marvel’s not going to let one of its most popular franchises die off like that. Remember “Everyone comes back except Bucky and Uncle Ben?” And they came back, too. You’re not fooling anyone, Marvel.

I thought it was like when Marvel wrote “Old Man Logan” so they could finish off the X-Verse and not give Fox any more movies to make.

Yes, MCU has Peter Parker, but the loopier and more desperate Sony is getting, it calls for drastic measures.

I don’t think Sony are likely to give up the rights to Spider -Man because Marvel Comics decides to end the Spider-Verse .

They still have years of stories to exploit in regards to the Spider verse .

        They can make movies about Spider-Gwen , Spider Woman , Spider-Man 2099 , Miles Morales , etc . Its a huge cash cow .

I can’t see how Madam Webb is a good idea though .

Right? Literally the only good thing Sony has done with Spider-Man and his universe (Venom, Morbius, etc) since Spider-Man 2 is the animated film. The rest have all been borderline garbage. Unfortunately their pairing with Marvel seems to have led them to believe, somehow, that they can make good live-action Spider-Man universe movies without Marvel’s involvement. It’s hard to imagine why they think that after Morbius crashed and burned as bad as it did…

      Lol exactly

Yeah. Put a fork in it. It’s a bad storyline altogether.

If this happens then what of characters like Miles Morales or Gwen because that is ridiculous to end their story at such timing while bringing in new heads who again maybe placed in some weird story time line arch that doesn’t go far enough and then what? Why not stay where it’s relatable to the time now instead of jumping from one random moment to another…? I’d rather focus on Miles and Gwen having a story that’s pinpoint relatable timewise than to be introduced to some character of another race or region honestly. I mean the money is right there and to skip onto something randomly new is nothing but frustrating to the audience to have a hard time to follow up on
