If 2 men were in my hotel room, without knocking, without uniforms, or nametags, I would simply call the police immediately. This is beyond unacceptable. This is insane. We were harrassed by the staff at a deluxe resort that it was time to checkout and that our luggage was still in the room. They were calling us ONE day early. I really lost it on the management when I got back to the hotel. I was livid that hotel employees were in our room, without us knowing. Chapek has gutted the staff and their pay, and they’re hiring very inexperienced CM’s with no experience in hospitality/hotels, nor does it appear that they’re being trained.
I’ve had this happen at a Marriott. Sometimes rooms are double-sold by accident. I’m a former Cast Member and I can say that every attempt is made to avoid any difficulty for guests. With 33,000 hotel rooms in Disney World, there will be occasional problems.
If something like this happens to you. Don’t just go to the front desk. Call Disney Guest Services. They have amazing powers to help and compensate you.
We were at Port Orleans a few weeks ago and a man came to our door and asked if everything was ok. If we needed clean towels, etc… My husband was a little annoyed. I thought it was a little odd. It is quite curious as to why they are going door to door during the day when most guests would not be in their rooms.
Yeah this is EXACTLY why we are not going back to Disney any time soon. The staff is downright abusive to guests these days. Stuff has gone missing (or is damaged) and the staff does NOTHING.
Guess this is all par for the course for this once wonderful company. My family and I will be spending our money elsewhere from now on.
