So Disney is basically creating a situation where customers have to pay to access their parks, but then cannot utilize features in that park unless they pay to do so also. If it was just virtual queue, it would make sense. But obvious monetary goals if it’s genie/lightening lane too. How do we know they’re not going to set up their virtual queue ridiculously low, like 1,000. So then the majority of guests go, “Darn! I didn’t get it! Guess I have to pay now” Is Disney turning into a lame overpriced country fair, or what? Pretty soon you’ll have to pay for all their rides.
So disney is trying to keep being greedy and make you pay see they made sure they mentioned the scam they started using to make people pay stupid prices on top of already paying almost 200 to get into the park. wow what a way to make disney for rich people only and no more family fun trips. way to go keep excluding the good people.
Did they not hear the term “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it”? What was wrong with fastpass? If they wanted more money by charging for it plenty of people would’ve gladly have paid including me. This new system sucks and is confusing.
One ride has a virtual queue.
Some rides use to have a virtual queue but now are lightning lane and standby, some rides are pay individually or wait forever and they all change in price and how you reserve them almost daily…
Am I the only person who is confused?
I hate the virtual queue. You have to wake up early to try to “win” a low probability event. Of course, most people don’t win. So instead of magic, we start our day to the park disappointed.
At least with standby, those of us who travel from afar have the option to wait in a line, albeit long, to experience the new ride. With vitual, it is unlikely we will be able to ride.
And lightning lane doesn’t help. The passes for new rides sell out immediately just as fast as the virtual queue. Can’t win.
Why does a trip to Disney have to be stressful like this? Just allow the lines and a fast pass system. It’s simple.
