I can’t speak for all Star Wars fans, but from my point of view Star Wars fans don’t want fresh takes on existing characters. We want elaboration on ‘why’ a character is the way they are. But their mannerisms, the way they speak, and their look need to be generally consistent. I can get passed the look because it’s taking a cartoon character and putting it into live action. But time will tell if this live version syncs properly with its cartoon counterpart.
