If Walt Disney were alive today he would be ashamed of Disney World and especially disgusted at what Disneyland has devolved into, that’s a fact.

    Truth hurts don’t it.

    1. Stuart Peit

a fact, eh? Did you have a seance with Walt, or did he send you a message in a dream?

      1. Kelly Connerton

There has been enough books and such written about Walt Disney to know the statement is probably true.

        1. Stuart Piedmann

I know you I met with you once upon a dream.

        2. Stuart Piedmann

Finally a sensible remark. Welcome to ITM.

    2. Chris

Walt, Roy and the rest should rise from the grave and kick some executive ass.

  2. Disneyworld more than Disneyland has always been a financial hit to go to, just now it’s much less value for more money. You can augment staying offsite at Land easier than World. World however can be great without the parks so it just boils down to what kind of vacation you want. If neither then there is always Universal 😎

  3. Tennessee

I know no one who likes the genie system. I did not like it. It was a waste of my money and time. I don’t not go on a vacation simply to stare at my phone all day. I know the parks well enough without it.

    1. Tennessee

That should say, I do not go…

      1. Fred Kneck

I like it. How do you do.

        1. Blue Aideen

Waaaa waaaa waaaa blah blah blah. All y’all whine and complaine and go awayways. It’s your “beloved disney”. The people crying are the same ones that commented in a previous article “I’d move with Disney if they ever left the state”! Hell, those are the SAME PEOPLE that stated they would LEAVE The US if Trump became President. You know what happened? Yall pussied out on your word and stayed and I still have to put up with em! Ha!

          1. Kevin

Says the person complaining about the complainers. Nice rant (sarcasm).

          2. Stuart Piedmann

            You tell em, Tex

      2. Geoffrey Buxton

I live in Spain and have just returned from WDW staying at Coronado springs tower, spent a fortune to spend hours in lines, never again. Just money grabbing company

        1. technoHippie

Weird how it got that bad once the CCP influence in the company really took visible control.

Wanna argue with that, go look up business policy in China. If any company wants to do business there, they must have an office with a member of the CCP there to okay any decisions made by the company.

          Facts.

  4. Terry Russell

No dining plan, no free magibands, no free mugs, pay for parking at resort hotels, pay for complicated Genie+, pay for Lightening Lanes, have to book Parks and dining reservations, cannot guarantee park admission or hopping, restricted Water Parks. Without all the current price increases, out usual 14 day holiday would cost an additional $10,000. No longer value for money. The ‘Magic’ has gone.

    1. Kevin

Must be nice to be able to take a 14 day in a row vacation to anywhere. What a problem you have.

      1. Renee

Kevin, you are such a bitter troll

        1. Kevin

Yet you felt the need to respond. If calling out someone complaining about their 1st world problems and ability to take two week long vacations and spend $1,000s doing it makes me a “bitter troll” so be it. Whatever, Renee. BTW, I honestly don’t give two S–ts what your (or any other faceless person on the internet) opinion is of me. Have a blessed day.

          1. Brian

I like that 14 day bit. I haven’t taken a full day off in about that many years. I live 2 hours away from Disney World and don’t go anymore. I’d be livid if I actually paid to travel there (plus staying there). I think people who like it must be taking a vacation from torture (joy is a relative thing). I’ve walked in places there at certain times where you had to stay in step with the people around you as they moved in step with each other with zero space to move around them.

  5. Chris Wood

As long as people are willing to pay to go to Disney, then Disney will keep on raising their prices

  6. lorraine

I cant say that if we traveled to disney world like we used too that it would be a great deal. We are locals and love disney world , BUT stayed at a very nice ( supposedly) hotel for our anniversary for 2 nights and it was terrible……….Not cleaned rooms, nothing was cleaned while there, thankfully we always have blankets in our car and we got them and used them and bought a couple pillow pets to use as pillows. The walk to the restraunt was about a 5 minute walk and it was quick serve ( the food was good though) but I couldnt drink the coffee in the hotel room , awful. the bus systen stunk, it was a good 6 minute walk to our bus stop….. I could handle the walks but the cleanliness of the hotel was horrible and we havent stayed since…..Actually our trips to the parks have gone down tremendously since the reservation system. A lot of times we have reservations for it and the weather keeps us from going , So now I only make reservations for 2 days a month, ( used to go 3 times a week) and if we decide to go on the spur of the moment we just try to get reservations………I really do like Universal studios though and we go there more often than we used too, no reservations to bother with. I have my 5 reservations made and hopefully we can make it those days. The one other thing is try to make reservations for yourself and company at the same park on the same day so you can enjoy time together……….good luck with that

  7. Before COVID visited Disney 5-6 times a year. Went this past February after not visiting for a year. How disappointing! Prices went up at least 30%. Stayed at the Grand Floridian. Service was awful!!! Rooms not cleaned, trash not emptied and I had to take towels from a cart because the towels in our room were wet and dirty. Two of us spent over $100 per day ion food. HATED having to be up at 7am to reserve rides!!!! Ticked off because for $15 per day you think you could book more than 2 rides!!! Hated the early morning park entrance!!! Missed the late hours if you were staying at a park Hotel!!!! Souvenirs were absolutely ridiculously priced and cheap looking and cheaply made. Disney has made what should be a fun time stressful! The magic was gone!!!

  8. Justin

Clearly the new CEO of Disney has no idea of what the company is about. Since he took post prices have rocketed, standards and quality have dropped, cast members are treated appallingly and customers are ignored. Time someone took stock of what is happening across all the parks and sorted it before he destroys an icon.

  9. Dolores Whitfield

I’m at Disney World right now..rooms are very clean and the cast members could not be more helpful with everything. I’m fortunate to be an annual Passholder and can come more then most. However, since I’ve been a Passholder for 22 years and have been able to access many of the rides before genie existed, I refuse to buy it strictly on principle. It is extremely crowded, but it’s still my happy place.

    1. Daryl-Rhys

Finally an actual honest review not coloured by stupidity.

  10. Bobby

This WOKE company has crazy ” gays ” runnin the show at every turn, they don’t know their butt from a hole in the ground….How do I know, I have worked there for 17 years….I’m on my way out…They stand for everything that’s wrong with America and life. Disneyworld is a scar upon the fabric of life, is it ‘ Magical ‘ no I’d say it’s Demonic.

    1. Harry Wood

      Which demon? Please be specific

  11. Pat

Due to Covid, Disney is not cleaning rooms unless you specifically ask for it. I’ve been twice in the Covid era and the magic is still there. The problem is the expectation of todays society. Everyone expects to ride every ride, see every show, eat at every restaurant. And never wait more than 10 minutes. Disney has never been that way and never will be. Temper your expectations people. And you won’t be disappointed.

  12. Christopher

I’m here right now and it’s been great…people who don’t like where Disney stands politically, change the channel and go stare at the wall…

  13. Mike Donaldson

What really makes me angry is that WDW doesn’t take the time to truly understand how special I am. My needs clearly outweigh those of the other 50,000 guests each day. Waiting in lines, paying money for services, having to shell out cash to stuff my face before they shuttle me back to my room…what a joke! I’m taking my focus over to Tik Tok, where I am the star of the show and the world can celebrate me, as it should be!
And thanks Bobby, for those eloquent, inspiring words. You showed those “woke crazy gays” who the boss is! Good work. Your tolerance is truly appreciated.

  14. Rob

Change is inevitable. I feel that WDW has changed some for the better and some not so better. As an annual passholder (for many years) I continue to enjoy the whole experience. I am spoiled as I am a Florida resident and within 10 miles of any Disney park and can shift my times to whatever works best for me. Sure my pass has gotten more expensive over the years, my first one was 295.00, it is still the best value when compared to the gate prices. I have gone almost everyday for the last 10 months and have never noticed over crowding. I will continue to enjoy Disney for as long as I can and nothing will put a damper on my enthusiasm.

  15. Tim C

Visiting a park should not be an exercise in micro management. Everything these days needs to be researched (you need to do your homework), you need to plan what time you will be at a ride. A vacation shouldn’t be more stressful than work. Been there many times in my youth, I will cherish the memories and stay away now.

  16. Ralph Harding

I can remember when, decades ago, before it mutated into a monstrous, greedy tourist trap where the only magic is separating large amounts of money from large numbers of people, going to Disney World was fun.

  17. Mm

My family has always loved Disney World, but the last visit 4 Yrs ago was it for my son & his family. Way too expensive & to wait in hour long lines with little kids is definitely hell. Now they visit national parks, went to Hawaii, Florida beaches and places with kid friendly specialty exhibits. We just got back from St.Louis, went to Science Museum & City Museum which are enormous kid playgrounds, very worth it. Had a blast and inexpensive. Ate really awesome BBQ & at restaurants by the university are great.

  18. Chris

The problem is that everyone wants to go. How do you solve that problem? Raise prices and keep raising them until the issue is managed all while making a hefty profit. The name of the game is money and if you don’t have it, you can’t play. Sorry, but that’s real business.

    1. Geri Eastley

I have been going to Disney since I was 5 years old. I went the opening year of Disney in California. I now live in Florida and I’m 72 so we go to Disneyworld. We just took nine of our grandchildren in March. It was a $165 a piece. In Japan it is only $84 and in Paris it’s $64. I’m sad that I will probably never go again! I definitely felt robbed!

  19. Dr. Will Hempel

We stopped going to the Park awhile ago due to the insane crowds, high prices for food, and limited excess to popular rides ( Space Mountain was a 270 minute wait). We have Six Flags, Universal, local mom and pops to spend our dollar. The “Charm” is gone.

    1. Wai Long

I went to Space Mountain once and the wait was 740.5 minutes.

  20. Anne

It’s too complicated. How do they expect people on VACATION to pay for a service where one has to wake up at midnight and again at 7am just to enjoy a 2-3 rides? Who does that on vacation? Random ticket prices dependingon the day, parking at resorts, no airport transportation, what else have I forgotten?! At least with fast pass, the hard work one would out into planning was BEFORE the vacation and not during. Too expensive and too ridiculous.

    1. All this website posts is negative comments from crybabys….
Remove the negative posts or change the name to “Inside the Pampers”

      1. Mike Easter

        Sounds like a crappy idea

  21. 4K for how long and where did you stay?? The last time I went was for 7 days stayed on property, park Hopper pass. That time was at Shades of Green. Beautiful resort, clean very clean. One of my favorite resorts. Pop Century is a fun one all the Value ones are great. Caribbean Beach is my all time favorite. I wish others to have the magic I had every time we went.

  22. STOP YOUR WHINING ALL OF YOU………..
    STAY HOME NEXT TIME……

  23. People have been stating that for some time now. Should of done your research long before you spent your hard earned thousands of dollars

  24. Bryan

Also not to mention, that there is a decrease in quality of ride and queue theming and also ride maintenance.

  25. technoHippie

Wow, down with the bourgeoisie, right? Jeeze, jealous of people who worked their asses off to be able to afford lengthy vacations?

You’re response is a non-argument and disingenuous. You’re attacking something that really has nothing to do with the problem at hand.

Why is their problem something to mock? Maybe we should mock your problems, make you feel stupid for taking issue with them.

I seriously don’t understand these people who have issues with anyone complaining about the cost or changes company wide. Gotta be blind, ignorant, or stupid to maintain such a pro-disney bias that you’d attack anyone with valid criticism with how badly the company has performed lately.

    1. technoHippie

This was meant as a reply to a reply. Idk why it was posted as a reply to the article. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Not sure at all that this ITM site is anything other than a troll pathway, as it seems to do nothing but post anti Disney threads. It therefore attracts the very worst of the internet, as evidenced by some of the vile comments. It appears that despite the supposed huge drop in the jobless in the USA, it’s still hard to find decent staff for everyday jobs, which is what is happening world-wide. Disney obviously needs to reintroduce the DU (Disney University) concept to encourage staff to follow the original mantra of ‘believe the dream’, because that is what it’s all about. We live in a world of real hatred for anything remotely decent, where people hide behind their keyboards trying to destroy the fabric of good, to replace it with their disjointed view of humanity and hate for anything that could remotely bring joy to anyone. The high visitor numbers suggest that the vast majority want to try to out the last two years of anguish and illness behind them and give their families a break, however, there is only so much time available, so crowds ensue and anyone who knows Disney or any other Theme venue, will testify that it’s not a nice experience if the day becomes a queue frenzy, interspersed by a few moments of joy. On this basis, it may be better to let the whole thing settle and go at a later time. Add to that, costs are becoming prohibitive for many which will inevitably result in a slowdown.
