We should all cancel our Disney+ subscriptions, stop going to the parks and stop buying ANY Disney merchandise. IF…………IF……………enough of us do that, and the stock tanks low enough, Disney shareholders JUST MIGHT vote Chapek out………..along with the current Chairman, and vote a NEW one in
We ALL have to save what we truly love. The Walt Disney Company must be saved
And MOST importantly, we all have to PERSUADE OTHERS TO DO THE SAME, and WARN Disney of the impending boycott to REALLY get Chapek SCARED.
And I will be seriously disappointed if I see ANYONE, and I mean just ONE PERSON commenting WITHOUT vowing to do ANY ONE OF THESE THINGS. We must both BOYCOTT Disney AND encourage others to do the same. Can you really consider yourselves Disney fans if you choose NOT to fight and sweat blood to save Disney, and recruit others in this crusade? Can you, REALLY?
I’m not a fan of Bob Paycheck by any means. The magic isn’t really there anymore (at WDW for sure).
However, spamming the same comment over several articles just to prove a point across is just annoying at best.
Wanna do something productive? Make a group on social media about boycotting Disney (with members showing proof that they have canceled their subscriptions, passes and everything else); ask one of the writers on ITM to make a puff piece dedicated to your proclamation to boycott Disney; make a petition; better yet STOP SPAMMING! Even if all the ITM subscribers did just as you ask, it would make a small dent in that Death Star. And that’s IF everyone does what “you” ask.
The problem with Enchantment is the music. The original song is fine, but the rest of it… ugh. Boring instrumental versions of classics and bland covers of recent Disney music does not make for a celebration of 50 years of the magic kingdom. The show SHOULD have incorporated music FROM THE PARK as a celebration of MK itself. There is plenty of original music featured throughout all of the park’s attractions and they should have gone with that. They did a better job with Harmonious in Epcot than they did with Enchantment.
The people here are true Disney fans. But nothing Disney can do will make up for their attempt to interfere with Florida’s duly elected governor enacting the laws and rules we residents elected him to do. Disney is supposed to be a magical place for kids of all ages. Now they are another huge disappointment.
Why, being the 50th Anniversary, didn’t they incorporate Walt and Roy’s voices? Or an image of them? We dreamed the following as we flew in for our visit…lights out for a moment, quiet music, one quote from one of the brothers. Slowly send a stream of pixie dust down one side of Main Street and up the other. Image of the brothers on the castle, pixie dust flows up the turrets. Music opens, fireworks blast, then Tinker Belle flies. At least that’s what our family hoped for! We were so disappointed.
Agree. This was a big miss. It should have started and ended with Walt and Roy Disney voices and images. And the most iconic movies and characters. Songs we know that bring the emotions
In the past, and I have been a devoted Disney World attendee, along with my wife and family, since 6 months after the park opened, nearly every decision that DIsney made seemed to be the right one and made your experience more enjoyable—–and more “magical”. Now every decision seems to do the opposite and just create anger and frustration. This has nothing to do with the “politics” of Disney. I am not bringing that into the discussion. I am merely talking about the park and resort experience. When Disney made changes in the past, it really felt like it was for your benefit—-to truly IMPROVE your visit. Now everything seems like much less thought and evaluation go into nearly all of the decisions. Many of them are just blatant money grabs, and nearly all of the “spectacles” are nowhere near the quality emotional experiences that Disney was always known for. And when Disney announces a new change they always try to spin at by saying it is for our benefit, but it never feels that way, and the insincerity also feels very UN Disneylike. We have also been DVC members since 2011, and every perk that was used to entice us into joining DVC has been discontinued, constantly causing us to reevaluate our membership. A Disney trip was always something we looked forward to with tremendous excitement. Now it seems there is more trepidation and anxiety—which is truly saddening. (And I won’t even get into the prices or removal of free fastpasses and extended booking windows!)
Agreed. It used to be the experience was designed to benefit the guest and make the money in a mutually beneficial effort. Now it’s entirely about making the money.
Hands down, Enchantment is a disaster. Harmonious isn’t any better. Celebrating 50 years with music from marginal movies and no discernible storyline to the show itself. It’s a disaster. I wasn’t a HUGE fan of Happily Ever After either, I didn’t touch Wishes, but it was a good show. This is just nothing.
Disney Enchantment should’ve been a celebration of the Walt Disney World 50th anniversary with tributes to the different lands and attractions and some songs and characters from various movies sprinkled throughout!

I want you to think very hard about that
I hope everyone understands

I will not stop going to Disney. Celebrated my 60th birthday with my family and we had a great weekend. Don’t threaten me

The devil you know is better than the devil you don’t….

Sometimes, but no. Chapek is the worst.
Robert
Yeah, Disney is trash now. Boycott we will.

Not a fan. I’d love to see WISHRS come back!

Have you seen the comment above?
or not?

Hard to miss it when you keep spamming it all over the site.

Do you believe in actually weaponizing our disdain to hit Chapek wehre it actually HURTS?

Disney needs more fireworks. It makes everyone happy!

Heck, Epcot Forever actually did a better job celebrating Epcot than MK has done with Enchantment.

Just like the Florida Governor and Legislature. Massive disappointments who despise the First Amendment.

The happily ever after has to the one of the best shows, and it’s not just about the fireworks, it’s about the music as well and who is singing it!

was just there last week and I have no complaints about anything, had a great time

Completely agree. We always spend our final vacation day a MK and I was always brought to tears by Wishes. Happily Ever After, meh.
