Why was Mary Poppins listed as a classic movie that was remade in live action? Bad writing, especially when most of the article is just Twitter comments.
I liked the trailer! It seems there is nothing Tom Hanks can’t do! Plus, while we all are used to one image of the Blue Fairy, fairies are non-human and non-racial. We’re just used to 1 “look!” (Ok, to be fair, I love Cynthia Erivo and was thrilled to see her as the Blue Fairy! And if you know Cynthia’s own style, a shaved head is very Cynthia! I like it.)
My big issue is that the movie is called Pinocchio but where was his presence in the trailer? It looked more like it should be called Geppetto. I’ll have to see if the blue fairy grows on me as the glimpse was far to quick to make any judgements.
Like most modern Disney movies, this one will be crammed full of Disney’s typical woke agenda. I will have to screen it before I can let my kids watch it. It’s sad that I have to screen any Disney movie or show.
