I think is BS. If he really lost his Apple watch, to use the card linked to it they need a passcode to unlock and be able to use. People want to take advantage in any and everyday.

Yeah, as soon as it left her wrist it would have been locked – with no way to access apple pay. Somethings not right here.

She has to be lying. Apple requires a passcode as soon as you put in a credit card.

This story has so many BS parts to it. The watch basically becomes useless at about 30 feet from the phone. Even if it’s a cellular watch, it needs to be attached to your body, and it would ask for your code immediately… why are you taking your watch off on a ride? Do you take it off while hanging out a car window?

Total BS. The Nemo attraction track doesn’t even have a grated a floor (unless I missed something). So there’s that.
And I agree, why is an adult even playing with their watch on an attraction.
And who in their right mind even pays $1300 for a watch.

Couple of things if you lost your watch you can use the Find My app to see where your watch is on a map, you can also erase everything on the watch once you loose and if you can’t find it. I lost my iPhone once at Disney I literally got on my wife’s phone try to find it and I couldn’t locate it so I activated the “Activation Lock” which it locks it and no one can use it nor erase it until I put in pin.
