There can not be massive crowds at Disney. Remember? Disney controls every single park pass. Every minute of every day they know EXACTLY how many people are in each park. So someone is not telling the truth.
This is by far one of the most idiotic things ever posted by this idiotic blog. Crowds are ushered out from behind the Plaza restaurant on Main Street ALL THE TIME. It’s been done for decades.
The fact that the writer of this blog post doesn’t know that only proves how truly terrible this blog is. What’s next? “Disney bus transportation gets really crowded at closing time”? “Disney resorts allow people to spend the night on property”? You simpletons are pathetic.
Was there last year and MK was soon crowded for fire works catle show that they had both sides open to get people out, the one (as you look toward the train station) to the left just before the area where they hold the desert parties, which we have used a number of times before, and the one between the crystal palace and Casey’s on the right which unlike the left was true a back stage area with equipment, employee hangout break areas, and that sort of thing.
I was there Monday. Yes there were a lot of people but me and my wife had no problem exiting out the main gate to the monorail shortly after the fireworks. This whole story is BS.
I was there in April and they were ushering people out via the backstage areas on both sides of Main Street. The one near Tony’s was nothing new bc they use it often as the guest entrance for the parties. But the other side (where the parades end near the emporium) was also being used as an exit. It was extremely crowded bc so many people were waiting on Main Street and the hub area for the fireworks to begin. And no it did not ruin the magic. We were too focused on getting to our lightning lane at Big Thunder Mountain!
It’s ALWAYS been an option to go out that way. No one was FORCED BECAUSE OF MASSIVE CROWD geeze. Have you never been to the fireworks before the reservation system??? THAT was massive crowds and again, that exit has always been used. No new news here. Quit trying to make a huge deal out of absolutely nothing. Wow.
Petty much? Who cares if you saw the back of Main Street? Would you rather be stuck in a massive crowd getting pushed and stepped on? I’ve been redirected behind MS many times. It doesn’t lose the magic. OMG. Get over yourself and quit finding petty things to gripe about.
We have done that at MK and Hollywood studios prior to pandemic. Usually around the holidays. We even cracked a wheelchair wheel leaving Hollywood. Bad lighting and a crack in the cement. Disney was very accommodating and lent us a chair to use for the rest of the trip. So crowds have to be getting back to normal .
Happed at least 3 times to me over the years . Only one time was really bad . Once on a July 4 after the fireworks. Wayyy to many people . I found if you go back behind the castle , for half hour , stuff clears out
We had a backstage exit after Epcot’s New Year’s Eve fireworks show once. We actually thought it was kind of cool to see the other side of the world pavilions. Almost like we were getting a secret tour.
We go to Disney magic kingdom multiple times a year the fireworks display people are crowded shoulder to shoulder from front to back and we have never been escorted behind the scenes we have waited over an hour to take the ferry or monorail back to the parking lot and never have been escorted behind the scenes speaking with an employee they stated that they usually do not do that unless it is an emergency and as long as they have worked there over five years they have never seen it. We are friends with that employee so I think he would be honest with us. I am not saying they did not do this I am just saying I personally have never seen it
I just left MK, exactly where this “news story” references…this writer is an ass…no one is escorted…you are given the option to thru Main Street…or a quicker more direct route. If you want to shop, enjoy the view, go Main Street or go home go via exit path.
Comments for Disney Guests Forced to Exit Through Backstage Due to Massive Crowding

This is not new. We have been escorted out behind Main Street a number of times years ago. You end up at the front exit.

We have been that way many times to exit park. It’s great especially if you have a stroller or wheel chair.
