The outside world has now contaminated the happiest place on earth. Why do some people have to always be showing off their freaking guns? They need to tighten security before some tragedy takes place.
Guy was a convicted felon who was not allowed to possess any firearms.
And the park has a strict no weapon policy, yet this felon chose to ignore all that.
Shows criminals ignore laws whenever they want.
I take it you haven’t seen all of the instances of guns being brought onto Disney property by “law abiding citizens”, or is that okay so long as they’re not “felons”?
You must be kidding. With as many videos of fist fights and brawls I’ve seen take place at Disneyland? Looks like it’s occupied by gangs. WDW is way happier.
how did they get it through security? don’t they have metal detectors? Assuming the gun belonged to someone with a permit, can you bring it into Disney? I know you couldn’t in California.
Working security at WDW, you see some odd things and people will say whatever they can to get away with it. From knives, chewing gum, guns, swords, exotic animals as pets or ’emotional support animals’, to alcohol in baby bottles. Even belt buckles with hidden single round guns. Boot knives as well. Women wearing bras with hidden pockets hiding drugs and guns. Off dury cops from other states claiming ‘Private Security’ when in fact they aren’t securing anyone and they weren’t authorized to be ‘Private Security’ in the parks. Strollers with hidden pockets or removable parts hiding weapons and drugs. The extent people will go through just to either claim they got something into the park or they plan on using it in the parks.
Then you have people from other ‘Cultures’ who claim beating their kid(s) because they are hungry or want something is their ‘culture’. You come to the USA and bring your ‘culture’ of abuse to the USA, you won’t be welcomed.
I had followed a small family from a resort through the monorail system, when the father, from Venezuela, had been seen and reported by video surveillance and guest complaints, that he was kicking his 5 year old son in the head while he was in a stroller. The mother and daughter, from Tennessee, just watched it and allowed it. The mother said ‘they’ have been in a plane all day from Venezuela when in fact, only the father was from Venezuela and the 2 kids and mother came from Tennessee. I was told to monitor this family. When I saw the father beating this young boy, I had to step in. I offered fresh hotdogs and bottles of water. The father threw them all away. While he was at the trash can, it gave me a chance to see the boy up close. His eyes were filled with blood. He had 3 massive bumps on his head. I called for support. The parents denied abuse and denied medical attention for the young boy. They then filed a complaint against me for questioning their ‘culture’. They were upgraded from a low accommodations to the Polynesian Resort for 5 FREE days and nights, 3 meal tickets a day and FREE gifts for their troubles. I wanted to best that father just as he beat this young 5 year old boy.
2 days later I was called into the office and terminated for violating WDW Security Protocol of to ONLY monitor guests and not approach them. This was 1 week before Thanksgiving that year. A few months later I came across one of the officers who was present that day. He asked if I knew anything about the young boy? I said I had not. He explained that he put the child’s description and name in the child abuse system in Florida. 3 days after the incident, the mother rushed the boy to the ER. He had a brain hemorrhage. He died that day. He didn’t even make it to Thanksgiving, Christmas or his 6th birthday. WDW banned me from ever working for Disney ever again UNLESS I wrote a 1 page statement explaining that I was WRONG and that rules are meant to be followed. I refused to write that statement.
This matter has always been on my mind ever since and I will NEVER forgive WDW for what they did. My kids threw ALL Disney related things into the trash and we distanced ourselves from Disney since.
Disney ONLY wanted ex-cops and ex-military type backgrounds. Even Disney’s plain clothed officers that roam the parks are the same type. Most Disney Security Officers don’t make it past their 90 days. Disney keeps flushing people out. Their plan is to keep the people who shut their mouth, do as they are told like soldiers, and kiss butt to the worthless supervisors who constantly get shuffled from park to park so they can’t make friends or give others special treatment.
I will state this, if your child is crying uncontrollable or you state to food vendors you don’t have enough money, they HAVE to give you food and drink. Security is also AUTHORIZED to go into a store, pick an item out, and give it to your child for FREE. The idea is foe you to have a ‘Rewarding’ time and not be so stressed out. Their phrase, ‘Guests spend thousands of dollars to the parks and the “suckers” will keep spending’.
There is no ethics or morals anymore with Disney. Walt Disney founded the parks to be family friendly and fun for ALL ages, but affordable. He would be rolling in his grave if he really knew what DIisney was like today. Also, Magic Kindom main floor is actually the 2nd floor. There is a bunch of tunnels under Magic Kingdom. All the plants and trees are planted in pots so if any are dead or damaged, they can be replaced when the parks are closed so nobody notices them the next day. Snakes, cats, raccoons, alligators, etc, are all under the Wildlife Protection Policy on ALL Disney parks. And yes, there are really dead peoples ashes on the grounds of Hollywood Studios in a certain place. More people die each day in resorts and pools on Disney properties than you know. Disney keeps it under tight closed lips so it doesn’t leak to the media. On average, there are at least 5 deaths per day. Bear Country and Tom Sawyer areas water is actually waste water. I was also there on the day that little kid was eaten by an alligator by Epcot near Boardwalk and Yachat Club resorts. Disney’s answer to that was it was the parents fault.
I’m sure you are correct about most of the things you said….but the kid was killed at The GF….so I’m assuming you weren’t there, since you don’t even have the location right. Also, if you felt like that kid was in need, YOU could’ve called 911 or CPS instead doing nothing.
Young man was an idiot for many reasons. Convicted felons know they have to act like model citizens and not cause any kind of disturbance or they will be in grave trouble with the law. Stupid.
This is what’s bound to happen when the MAGA idiots get their sights in anything their dear GOP overlords hint at. Wonder how Disney plans to ensure the safety of their guests.

Maybe with the trumplicans abstaining from visiting the parks, there will be less guns being brought into the parks “accidentally”
John
Oh quiet down Debbie. You have no knowledge of the real world.
