We fight this struggle every 4-5 years on our Disney trip. We’re a family of 6 (from Iowa) and would like 6-8 pins pins per person to trade. When you are 2 months away from your trip and want 50 pins , there is a huge temptation to turn to the eBay scrappers. I would buy the starter sets from eBay but others have said that those are fake as well. We will make a purchase from MousePinsOnline in the hope that they are authentic and we are not contributing to the issue. I really wish Disney would make affordable ($3-$4/pin) starter sets available on shopDisney.

So you’re plugging a place selling fake pins.

    Got it.

We have bought from Mouse Pins several times. We have never once had a problem trading the pins, and our kids love being able to trade a larger quantity of pins. Most people we have met who are opposed to “non Disney” purchased pins are older collectors who try and scoop up potentially valuable pins. Pin trading should be less about what’s valuable and more about what people like. When it comes down to it- my children’s favorite pins are always the oddest things lol. One of my kids traded for a random beer company pin- I have no idea how it got past the cast member, but he loves it and has no idea what it means, so I’m just happy he is lol.

I wish you would stop giving false information. Scrapper pins are 100% tradable at all Disney Parks! Cast Members couldn’t care less if you are trading a scrapper pin or not. Some scrapper pins are pretty bad but I have bought a lot of my pins from one seller and they are the best scrapper pins I have found yet. I refuse to pay $10 a pin and trade it for something that costs someone less than $1! I am not trading pins to make a fortune. I am trading pins to add to my kids collections. I don’t care if they are authentic or not. Trading pins should be a fun thing to do not plan on making a fortune off of them. So stop passing off the wrong information. Almost 90% of the pins on the pin boards are scrappers. Unless you know what you are looking at you are going to get them. So I would much rather trade a scrapper for a scrapper!
