Smart of Universal to plan a new park while Disney is faltering. The way they’re going they won’t be back on track by 2025 so Universal should be in great shape if they can open on time.

  2. Gary

Funny, you think Disney has a chunk of money? Universal has all the Money and are building pyramids right now lol. Disney is left in the dust. I bet universal will settle and this is just part of the plan. Universal is talking the talk and walking the walk. Actually universal doesn’t say much and the rumors are killing me lol

  3. Jess

wow, sounds 100% like a company crying about not getting their way and now sueing the buyer for making a purchase? oh please! If anything, they should sue the seller for selling it while closing a deal

    1. Kari

Its business, IF you are going to buy something but cannot get the funds, the company can sell to another company. Its just the way it works lol

    2. Mrs.Fitz

I was thinking the same thing. As Kari said if a company cannot raise the capital it’s all fair game. I also went to look up this Fourth Watch Acquisition company and do not see where they are involved in this kind of business. They should leave it to the Universal and Disney. We don’t need another FunSpot or Icon Park.

Universal can barely operate what they have now. They have no business building abother park. Don’t get me wrong it sounds cool. But I’m not even sure how they make movies when they cant even make a useful app.

        1. Bryan

Well, I guess the app doesn’t work for you, have you tried using the help feature or the contact, or whatever it’s called.

Because, if their is a bug for you, you should report it, because Ayre they cab fix it, or help you on how to troubleshoot it.

Because it works fine for me.

And also a movie, is not an app.

I think that this company saw the value of the land to universal and wanted to jack the price before selling to Universal themselves. They would threaten to build a competing park to increase the pressure. Universal caught wind and cut them out. Good for Universal.

If universal can’t find a way to transport people from the current hotels, that isn’t buses, this is going to be extremely disappointing. The entire reason I stay at the onsite hotels, is specifically so I don’t have to deal with the nightmare that is the theme park bus system.

    1. Jarvis

Universal has a great bus system. They go directly from hotel to theme parks and back.
Little to no wait. Not like other parks.

      1. Tiger

Because it’s like 5 minutes away lol.

        1. Walty

It’s five minutes at Disney too.. Universal has a better operation. Truth hurts don’t it?

        2. Jeff T

It’s the same at Disney.. but Universal buses run about every 10-15 minutes at max… not the 30-45 minute plus the slow and few Disney busses run. Try not basing everthing on a failing park bus system of Disney.

    2. Mike

They should make the flue system like they have in the Harry Potter movies (i.e. when he steps into the Weasley’s fireplace to go to Diagon Ally). I envision the pressurized old mail tubes they had in old time office buildings where they put the mail in a container and then place that container in the tube and shut the door then whoosh, there it goes. It can be the guests first ride of the day.

      1. Stacy D

OMG… a ride between theme parks would be awesome… wait… didn’t they already think of that? Hmmm… Hogwarts Express!

        1. Brain Dead Readers

You are an idiot. Read the post and make a comment on the future idea written not the present “train” they have in place to go between two parks that are side by side.

      2. Andrew

Now get ahold of The Boring Company.

    3. MrsFitz

The bus system at Universal is pretty good. We’ve stayed on site multiple times and use the buses. There are plenty of hotels that are in that area that will more than likely accommodate park goers.

    4. Harrold

I second what Jarvis replied. I’ve stayed off site and bussing from hotel to theme park and vice versa was less than 20 minutes.

  5. Lanny

    Monorail.

    1. Jarvis

Monorail along what route? Who owns the land? Get Disney out of your head.

  6. Chris

This company however is implying that Universal is somehow trying to create a barrier to market entry. They can buy real estate else ware, It is not keeping them out of the market. The argument itself treads on thin ice. “I thought we had a deal.” “We had a deal, now we have another deal”. **itty YES, illegal NO.

    1. Jade

Right I doubt they can show they lost revenue that can’t be replaced because universal beat them to the punch.

  7. Jarvis

Monorail along what route? Who owns the land? Get Disney out of your head.

Just got back from a WDW/ Universal trip. I’ll take Universal anytime. WDW is now just a big money grab. Genie+ is a joke. You register at 6:30am for one ride. Can’t register for another for 2 more hours. By that time the rides are gone for the day. And some you have to pay extra for.
Stay at a universal hotel and all the rides are skip the line.

    1. Laurie

I prefer Universal hands down. It is harder to get food at Disney. Disney has only 1 at most 2 good rides in each park. The rest of the time you’re waiting for the fireworks. Universal keeps you busy all day long with rides that are exciting.

  9. Nick

There’s got to be some details missing, or I don’t see this standing a chance.
I mean, sounds like they were equally or even more so shady by trying to go after a piece of land they knew would break up Universal’s property. If I were the owner I would have sold it to Universal for even less for the sake of continuity and not seeing a third rate park try and cram itself in the middle.

  10. Michael

Another frivolous lawsuit, I see this will be tossed

  11. CJ

Money talks, b.s. walks (and this Georgia Co. sounds like a fake Ponzi scheme – lol!)

No Monorail for Universal Studios Orlando (do something different like the Boering Co. Tunnels, or Virgin’s vacuum tubes).
