  1. This Ghosttown probably won’t see the TIME of DAY anyways…it shall be another oasis in THE desert of Dubai????
    Its foods probably BE non-Hal-al& wouldn’t attract THE local people for breaking Islamic traditions. Sorry/Not sorry???

    I was working at Universal Orlando when Dubailand was under development circa 2007-2009…they converted one of the backlot sound stages to offices, since that was temporary headquarters for the Dubai project. The writing must have been on the wall early on, because it was always quiet with minimal staffing working on the project.

    I always wondered what would have been if the economy did not collapse in 2008, because this and the Palm Jebel Ali Busch Gardens/SeaWorld islands were really the first two big anchor resorts for Dubai’s foray into theme parks. It was just really poor timing and luck, all the financial backers evaporated when the global economy dumped.
