It doesn’t even say anything BAD about Tut–
He’s got a condo made of stone-a, after all!

(Admit it, when you heard it as kids, you snickered thinking it was “Condom”, right?)

      It is condom.
Now are these actual Egyptians that are angry? I doubt as Martin has performed that in the middle east to rave reviews. I am positive that is SJW white college kids that are high from sniffing their own farts, that started this.

Actually nobody bashed Steve Martin other then some right wing troll farms to stir up controversy.

    1. Not a sheep

That’s funny. This seems right out of the lefty libtard playbook.

You are such a typical Dem CalledIt. Dems blame everyone else instead of owning up to their mistakes. Your Dem overlords would be proud of you.

He’s my role model and his song is hilarious! People need to get over themselves

Don’t tell me someone from Egypt is going to slap Steve Martin. Get a life people!

This is what is called entertainment. Steve has entertained us for many years and hopefully many years to come!

The song was mostly about consumerism than it was about King Tut. It was silly.

Do people just wake up every morning these days and think “gee, what can I find to be ‘offended’ about today?” I would love to see these cancel CULTure complainers’ heads explode if they ever saw Steve’s movie “The Jerk”.

      Sadly some do

“Another Steve Martin fan”? James Urbaniak has 175 acting credits in IMDb. Show a little respect for Dr Venture!

I’m a long time Steve Martin fab. I saw the skit live when it was on SNL in 78.
Really call him out for his King Tut sketch? Come on! There is a war going on that needs our attention more!
The King Tut sketch is a classic comedy piece that is still relevant today.

This was what.. over 40 years ago? It was a comedic song. It insulted no one, it didn’t cause riots, it didn’t encourage drug use … and someone has a problem with it?

If you feel a need to cancel something in this cancel culture age, why not work this hard in cancelling drug lords and child sex trafficking. Idiots!

What’s “infamous” about the King Tut skit?

  12. Mrs. SMASH

I was actually going to try to find that on YouTube today….One of my dad’s favorites along with Eddie Murphy and Joe Piscopo dueting to Ebony and Ivory, which I admittedly already streamed today and laughed my butt off…..It’s almost as if they knew what the future would hold…..

    Satire is dead!
    Long live King Tut!
    Long live Steve Martin.

When you lose your sense of humor, you might as well crawl in a hole somewhere and die!

People are too damn sensitive about everything. This was done in the ‘70s.
    Get over it.

Born in 1970. Pretty impossible to not have been affected by Steve Martin. Guys a freaking legend. “The Jerk” was so iconic. How many times my generation quoted the famous ” This is all I need”tangent”, and “Let’s get small” from his comedy album, would be insurmountable. People need to lighten the hell up. Put on your big boy pants, and maybe solve your own daily life problems we all have.

Nothing to me is offensive. It’s a classic comedy sketch. Folks it’s harmless, if you don’t like it…Don’t watch it.
