To be fair, DiCaprio is a multi-Award winning actor. I have not really seen any of his films so I do not have an opinion of my own on his acting skills, but surely the Awards are merited?
I agree! Leo would have been total crap as Anakin! Leo is phenomenal in other roles, but he would not have been right for Star Wars. Also, even when Leonardo DiCaprio was thinner,….I wanted him to play a young Orson Welles!
You know what, I read years ago in the star wars magazine that it was just a rumour that he was considered to be Anakin, the rumour started because he was visiting Skywalker ranch for just a look around like a tourist that it all kicked off, and regarding all the other comments below that he is a rubbish actor is nonsense, he is a great actor, it’s just because he starred in Titanic which is a total chick flick that the stigma stuck with him.

Does it really matter, the prequels were great and i don’t see what the critics and George’s problems are. Hayden put out all he had and that was great for me. I love choreographed fighting. It makes the fights seem so much better. Luke’s battle with Vader on 6 was also epic as well, but I’m basically talking about this now.
What is the problem. With this old fashioned idea of hair cuts, baldies exist and get used to it allready. Get over it! Before I don’t see whats the flipping problem, Anakin Skywalker was burnt!

Leo would not have been good in the role. He does n ot have any presence of the dark side, and really let himself go after Titanic.
Hayden was perfect as Anakin, and I wouldn’t have any other way.
