“2 out of the 5 times I rode”
Are you kidding me? No guest will ever say that. We were stuck on a twice broken down Rise of the Resistance for 5 hours!!! Ruined our whole day. The line said it was a 2 hour wait. Guests never get that privilege “2 out of the 5 times I rode” . This person should be slapped for complaining.
Shut up. These cms are testing the ride so it doesn’t happen to you. Theyre allowed to share their experience. Theyre in the parks every day to help annoying jerks like you have a nice time. Do them and us all a favor and never go back to disney.
My only concern is that if the first launch you are facing backwards, this could cause some Injuries in unsuspecting guests who would normally have no issue riding coasters because you are placing more strain on the rider’s abdomen, spine, and neck since they’re facing the opposite direction as the burst of speed. The injury could be as small as micro tears in muscles or strains that aren’t immediately noticeable, but could cause a major problem as the day goes forward without the guest realizing this was the offending ride. Like I said it’s a concern. I’m hopeful they have figured out a way to not let this happen, but seeing as the laws for warnings that need to be included for guests are somewhat lax in Florida (and in particular, Orlando), this could prove to be a problem for guests who otherwise have been able to tolerate and enjoy other coasters.
I consider rides like Hagrid at Universal, but at the times they launch in reverse they’re already in motion when they hit the launch due to the track layout so it’s not starting off in a launch from a near stationary position so it counteracts the forces making it not really an issue. I’m not too sure about the full layout of this ride yet so it will be interesting to see. I just hope those who may have some minor health issues don’t end up with more major ones or that someone without a health issue ends up with one. I have faith in the imagineers though.
I was annoyed too. Getting on Rise is such a challenge. These local (pass holders) who get to go on it whenever they want complain about it breaking down. I’ve been to Disney world twice with my kids and on BOTH trips we could not get a boarding group to ride. My kids would have loved to been able to ride it, even with a malfunction 😛
The perks of being local. We go all the time. Never complain because we can come and go as we please. You too can be a local, we moved here years ago. It’s not our fault you only have been here twice and not able to ride.
My only question, how did u get on 5 times while I couldn’t even get one spot? Another flaw in the system. But a lucky one for you. Sorry ride wasn’t better
This person was not a “fan” or an annual pass holder. She was a cast member. She should have expected the ride to do funny things because they are still testing it out and working out the kinks.
Anonymous you need to learn some manners. Or at least how to write an intelligent comment instead of telling people to leave Disney and never come back. Disgraceful behaviour and a Disgrace to Disney
Nope not riding it. There are plenty roller coasters in northern states that I don’t need to drive 1100 mile to get too. I don’t go to DW for the coasters.
My brother is a cast member and said it was awesome, said there’s going to be an early preview for castember family and friends as well so I’m excited to get to try it without the massive lines it’ll have from a public opening.
1st title needs fix they arent a fan if they are a cm that wrks there! They are the only ones able to ride it right now and maybe you need to ask for a transfer. You must have stomach if your going to wrk RCs or the like. I once was a manager at hershey same ops opening & closing has to ride ride to make sure its running. We have drop towers in open unlike tower at wdw and the team member didnt have the stomach but begged us to keep her on we were like NO! Bc this is part of your duty of working at this attraction at the hrs you want!
I’ve ridden this ride 1 time with no technical difficulties and I wanted to puke.
If you’re affected by motion sickness in anyway, just be cautious and be mindful of that before doing this ride. Multiple ride throughs probably won’t be a problem, but that first time, not knowing anything about it, may get some people sick. Just a heads up.

Cast members are doing YOU a favor by riding it first, snowflake. When you ride it with no issues, remember to thank the CMs, buttercup.
