Thank you for saying it “felt” like miles. From the video I can’t see exactly where they started from or how far they had to walk to the rear of the building but I would say from what they video’d that it was maybe 1/4 of a mile. Funny thing this video is in the daytime. If they’re thinking that walk was long they’re in for a surprise? Main St. Is longer than that.

Watched the tik tok video and the creator did say that he/she might have exaggerated that.

We were on Maelstrom in Norway and just before the waterfall, the ride stopped. We had to get out of the boat and go down stairs to get out of the ride

As a former Disney Cast Member, I can tell you handling evacuations on Spaceship Earth wore me out!

Stuck on pirates at Disneyland sept 2021 for an hr. Luckily we were near the front. Had to wait for the Disney fire dept to come with their metal bridge so we could climb out. Felt bad for those people who were stuck beneath. We got several fast passes so it worked out for us

Some years ago, was evacuated from Test Track ride when it began to rain. We were right before the door to outside part of ride, so we stayed dry, but took a few minutes to get back to entry area. Worked out ok as CM gave us fast passes for later. Interesting experience.

    That’s just being overdramatic–
There’s nothing in the parks that’s literally a “miles” walk, unless you’re catching an off-property tour bus in the Epcot parking lot.

      Thank you
And they received “several fast passes”

To be honest, about 80% of people inside a Disney park could afford the exercise…that goes for both guests and cast.

    1. Jeb

I know I could. I can’t (won’t) stop eating. I’ve never been to Disney and I live the next county over in Citrus County Fl. I thought it odd that you people even come to that place but even odder that you come on a site like this and complain about it. Y’all be good now.

  7. WHO WOULD WANT TO SPEND THEIR MONEY IN TO A PEDOPHILE CHILD TRAFFICKING COMPANY GO THE HELL SOME WHERE ELSE. !!! STUPID PEOPLE

LOOK IN YOUR OWN HOUSEHOLD BEFORE TALKING XRAP
ABOUT OTHERS. YOUR HUSBAND JUST GOT CAUGHT WITH THE 3RD PROSTITUTE THIS MONTH, BROAD!

    2. Charles

You are the biggest idiot here if you believe Gov Santis’ propaganda

      1. L. Jen

There was a police sting recently and they caught pedos that work at Disney. Everytime they have a sting like that they always catch multiple cast members. Nothing to do with the governor…. Pedos love Disney

        1. Angel

          Article? Source?

        2. Dawn

No, you are picking and choosing what you want to believe. 4 people were arrested, yes. One, ONLY ONE, for anything thing to do with TRAFFICKING and the others were for hiring prostitutes. Above age prostitutes.

      2. Nero

You mean Desantis? But no, by all means, I’m sure you know so much about the man whose name you don’t even know. You heard someone with a political agenda say something about him, and thus, anything he says must be non factual and propaganda.

    3. Jojo

      Please, more caps.

    4. Billie Hanson

I’m just going to say it. Shut your ignorant pie-hole!

    5. Shaughn Hicks-Jackson

Considering WDW is the largest employer in Florida, it wouldn’t be a surprise if an employee or 2 was caught in any kind of sting, whether it be a pedo sting, drug sting or DUI checkpoint!
If every sting ever done by law enforcement listed how many Wal-Mart employees were caught, everyone would be up in arms about Wal-Mart!!! Let that sink in!!!

    6. Angel

Pedos love anywhere with kids. I worked at Disneyland in college and nowhere did I get that memo. I’m not actually a fan either, just needed a job but have some valid criticisms.

Hey InsideTheMagic admin team, I think y’all need a report comment function lol

You are clueless are just stupid like most delusional republicans, it no different at Disney or any company, or any school. So obviously you don’t have a clue about life. You really might seek some good professional help, you really could use some. If you really think Disney is the only one that might employ some bad people, let try police departments, the state of Florida, the fire department, any company in Florida…!

We got to ‘let it go’ and the ride jerked stop.
We were in the front row, front car.
A CM appeared from a hidden door, they drained the ride and it was awkward to get out. They brought people from behind us (3 righteous overweight Karens in fancy sandals)
These women whined with every step as we went through the back where employees took breaks etc. They started filming their walk and we were asked to put away our phones.
It was interesting to see asphalt all the way to Test Track. They had a lot full of GM vehicles for the floor. We came back into World Showcase and got 1 Fastpass good for 3 hours on Frozen.
We headed to lunch and the FP were no good because they never got it back up.

That area is actually part of one of the tours we have taken as part of Disney. The floats and other larger trailers and vehicles are stored in that area. While it is a walk it is not something that is outrageous and is probably good for the exercise. It certainly is less than the walk from the entrance to the Pirates ride. That does not even include the very long que line for the ride.

  10. Jojo

Before judging this article, make sure to walk a mile in their shoes.

That way if they get mad your a mile away and you have their shoes.

    1. T.Guido

@ jojo, LMAO, thinkin outside the so called box …

  11. Gary

They weren’t “kicked off”, and it wasn’t “miles”. WTH is wrong with people? Maybe they should stay home and just watch TV.

  12. Joe

Pretty obvious these folks don’t do a whole lot of walking….lol hilarious

  13. Bill

The Disney Group might have garnered a little more sympathy had they set their price of admission based on what a park visit is worth rather than what the public will pay.
$100.00 per adult? I didn’t want to BUY Disneyland just visit for a day.

  14. Steph

We had to be evacuated from Pirates of the Caribbean. We were in the last room with all the villagers dancing and singing Pirates Life for me. After half an hour we all applauded when they turned off the music. But then itv was creepier with the animatronics still going in silence. After an hour they got us off and we all got 5 fast passes to use on anything we wanted the rest of the day. The walk was a bit long but not too bad and most of us just enjoyed being in the ac out of the noon Florida heat.

  15. Tlaw

It’s Disneyland Paris, so the distance should be in KM, not miles.

Either someone was misheard (maybe smiles to see the backside of Disney), or poorly converted KM to miles.

  16. Christine

At least you were able to get off. My husband and child were on the Feris Wheel, a ride I had to convince my husband to go on at Disneyland. As we went around the ride stopped, which was normal, letting passengers on and off. But being stuck there for 2 and half hours was NOT!!!! Anyway, since we spent most of our day on that ride they did compensate us with a front of the line pass that expired in about 10 minutes to the park closing! Wow! Totally worth the price is admission. LOL

    1. CJQ

Sorry. I call BS on 2 1/2Hrs….. people always have stories that consist of waiting times that are greatly exaggerated. Now I’m sure it felt like a lot longer in most stories as psychology in a place like Disney on a ride nonetheless, a mechanical issue in which you go from riding a ride to instant hault is going to send your senses into overdrive and 5mins will feel long.
However the reason i know this is BS, is I was one a CM, and once a ride breaksdown (usually its rebooting the system, not mechanical per-se), once we knew it wasnt going to restart within a min or 2, we immediately would begin evac. With basically every CM on that ride helping, and even sometimes in high capacity rides even others from local attractions if avail….. it is VERY important forDisney to minimize guests encountering ANYTHING that isnt performing at 100% Disney intent, as well as anything backstage. Nonody gets stuck for hours on ANY Disney rides. It doesnt happen

We were evacuated off Indiana Jones two days after Easter. They offered us nothing even after my granddaughter had a meltdown. Didn’t even say sorry. Disneyland is going down hill quickly.

  19. To clarify, it wasn’t “miles” but it was a fairly long way as we came off near the beginning of the ride and had to go round the entire ride warehouse via the road to get back to the park. At the point it said that in the video, we obviously had no clue where we were going, just told to walk towards a road and couldnt see the park anywhere and had walked a bit. We werent told where we were going so had no idea how far it was. We also weren’t given fast passes or anything for missing the ride or queueing up for nothing or being stuck for half an hour. There was no complaining from us about how far we walked though, it was pretty interesting and we got to see captain hook. The rest of the experience was filmed for youtube, just got a couple of clips for tiktok.

    1. Uck you

No complaining? You made a tik tok whining about it that got published in this article. That’s the definition of complaining. Must suck you lost some time and had to walk at Disney. That’s way worse then being in bunkers in the Ukraine right now fearing the next bomb strike. God privileged people are the absolute worst

“Miles” really. Why is everyone and their mother busting on disney. I swear this days u can’t find happiness anywhere. Disney a place of magic and wonder. Be grateful we can even go to Disney. There are people in world that will never get the chance. Get prospective people.

Got stuck on pirates for more than 2 hours. Was in a section that had no immediate evacuation area. All riders in front and behind were evacuated up to 1.5 hours before us. Cast members had to get in the water and manually move boats around enough for us to get to a platform to get out. I don’t remember the walk being especially long, but I do remember seeing a bunch of bread bowls and people working in kitchens or staging areas. They gave us a meal voucher and 2 fast pass tickets each.

  22. Carol

Oops dey gotta sue Disney for dat hahaha first world major problemo .😜🤣😂

  23. Boba Fatt

“felt like a few miles” doesn’t mean it was a few miles.

  24. Kari Johnson

My husband and I were on Pirates when it went down. After 45 minutes of listening to the Jolly Roger they decided to evacuate. I have MS and use two canes. I had to step over the sear backs to get to shore. Cast members were very helpful and I got a round of applause from the guests when I landed safely.
