It’s sucks being a new cast member and when I have days off that’s where I want to go to and I can’t because of the stupid block out dates so 🤷🏼‍♀️ What is exactly the point on being a cast member if you can’t have ugh when you want to

I think cast members should be able to go to the parks whenever they are able. They are always making magic for guests and should have an opportunity to experience the magic too.

Heck, I’m an annual passholder, not an employee and I feel for you. I can’t get in more than half the time when I try because annual passholders supposedly don’t spend enough money at the parks. When my wife and I are able to get in, most of the time we spend more than $100. With this Chapek fool, Disney only cares about tourists and travel groups any more it seems.

My son has been a cast member for 13 years. He loves Disney but between this stuff and the new “wokeism,” he’s thinking about a new job.

  4. There should not be any park reservations period! The guy in charge is an idiot! Cast members and pass holders and everyone else should be able to get in at anytime!

Disney has been able to get away with low pay bc they dangle the promise of park entrance pass to offset. But its become a perk the employees can rarely use because of block outs and no CM ressies available. Disney is being short sided and makes it a less desirable place to work at a time when good service workers are already scarce. a 16yr old makes more per hour at Six Flags than an experienced adult at WDW

The Kingdom is quickly losing its magic! It’s competition will gladly welcome any and all paying guests. There is more than enough planning that goes into a trip to any Disney property… buying passes with the possibility of not being able to make a reservation is a fiasco! My father has been an avid Disney guest since it opened in the seventies and has taken his family and friends to the parks on many occasions. However, he’s like Gibbs on NCIS…. Not much chance of him using a website to make a reservation….oh well!

This trend started happening more than 7 years ago when they opened the new extensions to fantasy land and restricted MK to cast members throughout the year. Increased the minimum hours required to work per quarter for seasonal members (key word: SEASONAL!), and the wage increases were insulting. I went in making $7 and hour and left 7 years later making $8 with less perks.

They have always relied on the love people Huber for the Disney brand to underpay and overwork castmembers. People ‘wanted’ to with there and be apart of the ‘magic’. Times are a changing and not for the better.

Watch magical Meg on YouTube on how they treated her as cast member

Disney cast members should be allowed in the Parks whenever they are not working if that is what they prefer. Cast members should also have special access to rides and not have to wait in line.
