Please, Disney, and all other mega corporations, stay out of politics! Bob Chapek and his political agenda driven management fools have raised prices, delivered products and services that are often lacking and cost billions of dollars in needless losses. This has damaged many customers’ faith in the company and negatively impacted many Americans’ retirement savings investments. Please stop it!
The CEO of Walt Disney Company has one job. His job is to make money for the stockholders. His job is not to voice his own political, religious, or personal views on anything. A very good friend of mine says it is nothing more than freedom of speech. That goes both ways, he could’ve been for or against the So called don’t say gay Bill. Which is actually House and Bill 1557, or Parental Rights in Education. It’s very interesting how there’s absolutely nothing in the bill that says don’t say gay. It’s also interesting that the majority of the people when they hear something on the news or read something on the Internet immediately believe it without hesitation. It’s also amazing that an extremely small percentage of the population is affecting policy. Unfortunately the damage has been done to the Walt Disney Company that is so severe that it cannot be undone. The only thing now to do is damage control. The best way to do this would be bring back Michael Eisner. Unfortunately this will not happen. The second option would be to bring back Bob Iger. He not much better than Chapeck but at least he knows how to keep his mouth shut. Now I will make a bold statement. I am writing this on Sunday, April 24. On Friday, April 27 Walt Disney stock closed at $118.27 a share. Unless Walt Disney World Board of Directors does something over the weekend and comes up with a plan, the stock will continue to drop. I believe it could level off between $98-$56 a share. I certainly hope I am wrong.
I believe adults should google the new types of sex ed curriculum for kindergarten and up that are being used in some schools now. This curriculum is not just going to teach gender issues. The pictures and instruction will shock you. The stuff they are teaching would have made me feel uncomfortable as a tween, and these are very little children who have no say. You don’t take a flower bud and rip it open. You let it open on its own.
You need to provide sources after making such a blanket statement. There are anatomically correct books to scientifically teach children about their bodies, but I’ve yet to find any of these materials being used to show young kids sexual behaviors.
This man has completely destroyed the park going experience. He’s robbing us blind with this sky high prices, and monetization of every single service, facet of our stay and park visits. All he cares about is the almighty dollar, not the employees, not the fans, not the loyal fans, passholders, no one. From his gutting Galaxy’s Edge, he’s been a disaster. Bring Iger back – the man was the 2nd coming of Walt Disney – he got it 100%, and he carefully built Disney into the #1 entertaintment corp in the world. Chapek just wants to increase the profit margin. Honestly, if he had come up to me at Disneyland, I likely would have screamed. Dr. Evil trying to make himself look like a man of the people. He’s the enemy of all things Disney.
Trump would be great for Disney, putting aside politics – he’s a builder, he would build multiple versions of whatever rides he could to get the lines flowing faster.
Chapek and company are lying about the parental choice bill with the rest of the lunatic left. He should have been removed for nickle and diming guests (taking away Disney guest perks). Now, he has put Disney in a battle against parents. Stupid! Parents pay to bring their kids to Disney Parks. Let’s see him take this stand in Asia and in France!
Fire Bob Chapek and NOT replace him with someone who thinks the same. The Reedy Creek is a direct result of Disney losing its focus and not staying out of politics. Do what Walt would do and make Disney safe for all people of all ages.
Disney has been LGBTQ friendly for years, and has always stood up for civil rights. DeSantis can pontificate all he wants about protecting parental rights, but a careful reading of this bill is purposely vague to be open to interpretation. That’s a dangerous path.
Never getting an annual pass ever again. Still never got our refunds during the pandemic. Get rid of reservations, get rid genie plus, get rid of politics, was a passholder for 9 years. Never again. Moving on and enjoying other things in life.
A company that presumed to tell the community of Florida parents that they must accept state-sponsored instruction in gender identity for 6-year-olds? Simply weird. (And creepy.)
In a year the activists at Disney will be gone. Chapek meant it when he said he wanted Disney to stay neutral. They have a year to un mess this mess. It will happen fast to. So to the activists.. UPDATE YOUR RESUMES
I live in Florida just like Disneyworld does. Only difference is…..Disney lives “Unregulated”, I can’t. Something wrong here for sure. Stick it to Disney since once again since they think their better than everyone else.
Bob Paycheck will be the sacrificial lamb. His board president, movie making exec and now the latest PR exec are all part of the alphabet gang. Bob never stood up for the 3% group because he’s not on board with it. He is responsible for all the nickel and diming, but his hiring group pushed their agenda through him. Disney’s current agenda will continue with or without Bob until the shareholders remove board members. Any new CEO will be in line with board wishes.
If Boob cheapskate had to use genie + flor his family for a vacation to each park, he would start crying. He stood behind a product he can’t even understand how to use. How about hiring someone who actually have planned a Disney world vacation with their family and understands the wants and needs of park goes. I guess that’s just crazy talk.. what do I know.
As a parent I’m betrayed as a fan I’m devastated I no
Longer trust Disney will th my kids. Changed our last trip to be just me and my boyfriend and we will be camping with the kids instead. That Disney lobbied to diminish my rights as a parent and wants to sexualize my kids I’m heartbroken
never would have happened with Iger. the left in a tizzy because DeSantis targeted the not so secret gay agenda? where is the outrage when government goes after Hobby Lobby or Chik Fil A or little.sisters of the poor.
I also wonder if DeSantis would be going this hard over just about any topic if he wasn’t prepping for the 2024 presidential race already. He has got to try and separate himself from the other competition and what better way than taking on a huge household name like Disney. If we was content to remain just governor we wouldn’t be hearing about all this right now.
Somebody from the Disney family needs to step in and lead a campaign like the late Roy E. Disney did twice in 1984 and again in the 2010’s, ironically putting Eisner in power than taking him out. Walter Elias Disney Miller, whose father, Robert Miller , who was married to Diane Disney, was removed from power by Roy E, but I think Walt’s grandson would be the right man to lead Disney from the quagmire they are in.
Does Walt’s grandson have any experience leading a $67 billion company with over 200,000 employers? I’m no fan of Chapek running of the company, but simply picking someone because they are one of Walt’s decendents regardless of actual experience or qualifications seems like a very poor decision.

Knob Sadsack has to go. We won’t buy new APs until he’s gone.

Hes not but the lgbtq activists likely are as will the members of the board who caused this dumpster fire. So either learn or find a hobby.

Disney needs to stay out of politics period!
Bring back the Disney Magic that has been removed from the Parks such as fast passes and lower prices all around.

Let’s send that same message (first paragraph) to the Koch Brothers and Elon Musk

Why do you have to put down people that disagree with you? Maybe you’re the one that needs a hobby!!

Nice one Joe. Did you formulate this witty reply with your crayons before putting your index fingers to work?
A true knee-slapper. Very impressive.

Exactly right, Zed. It’s been very hard to watch the GOP become the party of autocracy.
