  1. If Mayim Bialek does not get the late Alex Trebek’s job as permanent Jeopardy hostess, it just proves how rampid antisemitism is in our country. She is brilliant, well educated, successful in the field of neuroscience as well as ShoeBiz. She has charisma and every quality needed for the job. Stop this farce about Jennings vs Bialek. Do the right thing and give the job to Mayim Bialek asap. Stop making Alex Trebek turn over in his grave.

    1. Laura

Nonsense, it didn’t occur to me that she might be Jewish. I don’t filter my world with labels like you and so many do these days. I find her annoying and sounding like she’s rehearsed. Nothing is natural about her delivery or interaction with guests, and she puts herself as the focus instead of the contestants. Ken has grown into the job, and he has the respect of long time viewers for his knowledge and graciousness. Mayim can’t hold a candle to him and will always come across as an actress in a role of host. Ken is naturally THE host.

      1. Michael Workman

Ken is boring, egotistical , and does not have enough personalty to carry the show
Anyone otber than him needs to be the permanent jost. My wife snd I never watch Jeopardy whem is hosting.

      2. H Stillman

Ms Bialek usually appears to be unprepared. When a contestant gives an answer, there is a pause as if she is looking for the answer. One would think that the host would go over all questions and answers prior to show time.

        1. I agree. If she gets the position over Ken I’m done watching

      3. MabesNY

Yes! Beautifully said. I feel the same way.

      4. MabesNY

        Exactly!

      5. Barbarabara

Not liking her as host has nothing to do with anti-Semitism…she’s not a good host..doesn’t have the personality…just don’t like her

      6. I agree Laura. Ken Jennings is definitely the better host. Mayim Bialek has many fine qualities I’m sure, but she definitely hogs the spotlight. Ken Jennings is understated and gentlemanly. He gives the spotlight to the contestants, very graciously. I like him.

    2. Judy Rosenfeld

I totally agree with maintaining Prof Bialik. She is brilliant as well as genuinely warm and real. Please keep her on the show at least half time. Finally you have the courage to recognize a woman with brains, charisma and talent. Don’t blow it. Remember us woman – we are an equal part of your audience. THANK YOU.
      Judy Rosenfeld, Seattle

      1. Joseph Sauro

Billing is great as host of the show Jennings just does n I t come across as a good host if he becomes host I’ll be watching something else he just isn’t host material

    3. Surely a fan of Jeopardy would know the word they were looking for is rampant not rampid. I would not know Bialik to be a Jewish surname myself, so I agree with other comment.

    4. Mary E. Skrha

I’m a woman and I want a man hosting Jeopardy. I don’t like Mayim or any of the other women who hosted. This job is for a man.

      1. Maureen

Hey Mary. The fifties called. They want you back.

      2. Maureen Gorman

        Ridiculously sexist comment.

      3. I so agree with you plus I don’t think that the executives of JEOPARDY want a woman either. It makes me so angry!! Fair is fair and fans love her. It would be refreshing to have HER !!

    5. SUSIE

I totally agree with you. I personally like Mayim and think she should continue sharing hosting duties with Ken. She is very good and friendly with the contestants. Ken is okay, but he has other duties to do in addition to Jeopardy. Mayim also has her show called “Call Me Kat”, which is why they split the hosting duties.

      1. Nance

Why not continue sharing the hosting duties? A little compromise goes a long way.

    6. Joan Keller

I agree with everything you just said. Mayim Bialek is the BEST!!! PLEASE KEEP HER ON JEOPARDY!!!

    7. Pat

She stinks jennings is the best

    8. I agree! I like Mayim better as the host!

    9. Owl

The fact that she sucks at hosting has nothing to do with her being Jewish. It has to do with her horrible, grating personality

    10. Cathryn

Ken Jennings is bright, articulate, friendly, and truly understands the game. He is the rightful heir.

    11. Jean

She is all of those things. She is just a horrible unprofessional host. Hard to watch her twitching. And I love her as an actress.

  2. Kristy Mills

Who are these supposed fans who want her axed? Mayim Bialek is extremely intelligent and more than qualified for the job, not to mention likable. Not making her the permanent host will prove it’s not about the best person for the job and will mar the reputation of the game show.

    1. Thomas Wittbecker

Make Mayim Bialik host. Ken Jennings has enough money.

      1. Alex Yates

Mayim is significantly richer than Ken, with a $25M vs. $4M net worth.

        1. Jeremiah

He didn’t say more, he said “enough”. But who is to tell someone else how much money they “need” and that they have enough?

      2. So does Mayim Bialek. Are you kidding me right now?

    2. Mary E. Skrha

She is not the best person for the job. She is awful!

    3. Joan Keller

Again, I agree!!! PLease keep Mayim Bialek as Jeopardy’s Hostess…..

  3. I like the Status Quo. Why can’t things be left as they are and have two people employed? This way there is a back up on the payroll and they are able to pursue other activities.

  4. Kim

Ken Jennings all the way, I can’t stand to watch MB bob her head, stick her chin out and dance around like a little kid who needs to pee! Also she dresses like a clown! She is an embarrassment to Jeopardy!

  5. jayarby

And 100% of those who are so concerned about a game show host need to get a life.

    1. Jen

      I agree.

    2. Liz

      I agree!!!!!!!

  6. Laura C.

Ken Jennings for host, Mayim for tournaments.

  7. JG

It’s hilarious how this site still seems to think Jeopardy (a Sony production syndicated by CBS) is an ABC show.

  8. Joy Dawn Reed

Ken Jennings has earned the honor of becoming the next host of Jeopardy….He is a natural and the best fit to be the host. It would follow that he, of all the hopefuls, knew and loved Alex Trebek!…
I have read that Alex thought very highly of Ken as well.
How close can anyone come to best represent the show Alex loved and built, but Ken.
When I see Ken, I see the photo of him and Alex, arm in arm, smiling in front of the Jeopardy logo….
Yes, Ken represents well, the future of Jeopardy….plain and simple!

    1. Mary E. Skrha

      Right on!!

  9. Christine

I think Mayim should be the host. She is doing a fantastic job I think it’s about time a woman gets the job!!

  10. Jim Scanlon

Mayim would be perfect for the job permanently. She so smart and talented.

    1. Michele

      NOT!!!!

  11. Ken Jennings 100 % to be the permanent host of Jeopardy mayim Bialik can’t even host imagine she’s a star on a comedy show so it’s time for her to go back to where she started working in that comedy show.

    1. I didn’t see an option for adding to my original post, so I apologize for a second comment but are the show’s producers keeping this ball in the air just to boost ratings?

  12. Katherine

Hoping the rumors that Trebek faked his death are true and he’ll be back!

    1. RdT

My mother is weeks away from dying from pancreatic cancer, which she was only diagnosed with less than a month ago. This is the same cancer that killed Alex Trebek and has killed countless others. Little to no real progress has been made for decades and decades at finding ways to effectively and impactful treat this type of cancer nor
to improve early screening and detection. This is the last cancer you ever want to be diagnosed with because unfortunately for the great majority of persons diagnosed with pancreatic cancer
the cancer is already at stage 4 and the cancer has metastisized in their body and has spread to other organs. Unfortunately, the symptoms of this cancer are not typically noticed or felt until it has already progressed to an advanced stage. Even if you are extremely lucky and the cancer has not spread to other organs yet and is still in stages 1 through 3, at best-case scenario you statistically will have about 5 years of life remaining. And if unfortunately you are diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, as most newly diagnosed patients are, you have on average at best about 6 months of life left, and potentially much less than this. Present-day chemotherapy treatments options are between 0% to 5% effective at doing anything beneficial or positive whatsoever to destroy cancer cells in the pancreas, mainly do to the density of the cells in this organ. Alex Trebek did not fake his death. It’s insulting and upsetting for those of us with loved ones who are currently suffering and nearing the end of their lives or who have already died from this terrible disease to make such a goofy statement that makes light of this terrible condition.

  13. GoGo

This is so bogus. Ken Jennings must be paying a fortune to a publicist to crank out this rot. Instead he should have spent money, and time, making his voice less horrific to listen to. Mayim’s voice, on the other hand, is full of humor and grace, and she connects to the contestants in a way Ken could never do. He’s lucky he has a producer job on the show, but all this negativity he’s spawning makes me never want to see him again. Mayim gets better and better!

  14. Eldermace

Why does this alleged news outlet use such pejorative terms as “axed”?

  15. Kathleen

70% want Ken ?? – he is so boring….where are they getting those numbers from? I enjoy the show much more when Mayim hosts – all my kids prefer her too and my older parents

  16. Elle

Can’t stand listening to him. He is dull and wooden. No personality. She is bright, lively, and articulate. Are they that afraid of a modestly dressed woman with glasses?? Their misogyny might be showing…..

  17. BeLee

The show should end, now! There is no replacing Alex Trebek. He was one in a million. Cancel the show and create something new for both of these contenders

  18. I vote for Mayin.

  19. Debbie

I vote for Ken, if Mayim is so brilliant why isn’t she doing something in her field of study. She is very annoying, I do wish they would decide one way or the other.

  20. Michael Huffor

I have tried to be a fan of both Ken and Mayim and each has there own style. Perhaps I am among the minority, but I like Mayim’s personality and style over Ken’s. If she gets the bounce, I stop watching Jeopardy permanently. When TEGNA and DISH Network got into a tiff over the contract fees for broadcasting our local NBC affiliate for three months, we lived successfully without Jeopardy.

    So I say keep Mayim.

  21. Jim

Alex only mentioned two people he’d want to replace him:
Coates or Faust. Give them a chance starting with Laura Coates as Alex suggested.

  22. AS

Brad Rutter should be the host.
Mayim and Ken lack the charisma and are self centered, always must belittle contestants with their comments. It’s quite annoying watching the show with them hosting. Good thing Ken quit “The Chase” every time he was in it I changed the channel.

  23. AS

  25. AS

Brad Rutter should be the host.

  26. Angie

Mayim has her share of contributions to this lifetime, she’s an honorable achiever. Ken has proved his intelligence on this game. Just let him keep the job, Mayim has enough on her plate. Why try to juggle all of her projects AND Jeopardy?

  27. Elva

I like having 2 hosts. Ken & Mayim are intelligent & entertaining.

  28. Austin Stanford

    Jennings hands down. Way better.

  29. Ricky

Ken has no personality. Way too vanilla. Mayim is much more suited to host always happy and Knows how to communicate to the contestants

  30. AnnMarie

If Mayim continues to host JEOPARDY I will no longer watch this show. She is a embarrassment to the Legacy of the Great Alex ? She cannot interact with the guests and most of all, her Attire for this show is terrible. She could get better styles from Salvation Army.

Ken is the perfect host. He is like seeing a Young Alex starting out. Very Professional and so good with the guests. He has a
    Great Personality.

  31. Jane beckem

The show executive producer should be fired for indecision. Come on 18 months. Select a host (Ken I hope) and deal.

  32. Mary

I wanted to be a fan of both, but in my househould, we just can’t get onboard with Mayim. Her rhythm and reading cadence are off, which distracts us. Ken is much closer to Alex in that regard. We’re pulling for Ken.

  33. I prefer Ken Jennings as host of Jeopardy. There’s something about Mayim Bialik that’s not quite “right.” So please choose Ken as the permanent replacement for Alex.

  34. Sue

I like the way it is now. Ken and Mayim. I get tired of Ken’s grating voice and his smug superiority . I prefer Maxim’s hosting, and like her new hair and dress. But to solve the problem-do both Mayim and Ken. Makes it more interesting-especially since I don’t care for Ken but this would be a nice compromise. If people say they will stop watching if their favorite host isn’t picked—they are not true Jeopardy fans that have watched for years and years. I’m right and you are wrong mentality is not needed here. If you love the show Jeopardy for the concept of questions and answers by interesting contestants and competitions between winners occasionally to remind us why it was fun enjoying their victories then Mayim and Ken can give us that great timeless show to enjoy every evening.

  35. Gene johnson

    Arron Rogers all the way

  36. Nancy

I like both Mayim and Ken. Leave it like it is!

  37. MG

If 70% want her gone. …you I am with them. I do find her whackyclothes amusing

  38. John Hershkowitz

Ken Jennings is awesome. He should be the new host of Jeopardy. Mayim is so boring and loud sometimes that I just turn off the TV. I’ve been watching jeopardy since 1968, I’m 66 now.if mayim wins I will never watch jeopardy again.

  39. Jon

I think BOTH Mayim Bialik and Ken Jennings are doing a great job of hosting, and I think having them trade off as host brings a good change to the show. I also feel that most of the folks against Myaim just expect the show to be an EXACT duplicate of what it was with Alex Terbek. I also feel if Mayim wasn’t being UNFAIRLY picked on and bullied, those same people would find things to complain about Ken Jennings… Face it NO ONE can Duplicate The late great Alex Trebek, But Jeopardy will live on IF we give it a chance and accept some changes.

  40. StLH2O

Then i guess I must be in the 30%. Ken is Ok as a guest host, but he comes across as bland, fading into the background
Mayim is interesting, and I enjoy hearing tidbits of information related to the question.
I wonder how many of the votes against her, are based on her being a woman, when most emcees are male. Are people afraid of smart, strong women, as she is not the only one who has been subjected to this pattern of insidious prejudice in recent years.
Or are there other biases against her, because she is Jewish?

  41. Jeopardy Fan

Whatever happened to meritocracy? Ken J EARNED the right to host Jeopardy.
Mayim Bialik is annoying and superficial.

  42. Jessica

Mayim is awkward, slow, grating, and comes off as arrogant. Why does it take her 25 seconds to decide if an answer is correct or not, and why is she sooooo happy to tell the contestants the correct answer in such a smug tone? I’d rather put my face in an air fryer than watch/listen to her host Jeopardy, so if she wins out as permanent host over Ken Jennings (Christ, Incarnate), I will ditch Jeopardy for good.

    P.S. My grandma dresses better.
