Not going to work out as hoped. Stacking ceramic cups is not feasible for the volume SB does. Renting cups/mugs will be an inconvenience for most and will be an annoyance in the car, where most people drink their over priced coffee latte mocha chinos espresso junk.
Stupid idea. Sounds great, right? Saving the environment? People are so rushed these days, they don’t have time to be rinsing out ceramic mugs all the time. It will result in moldy mugs in the backs of cars and on desks everywhere. Who wants to wash out a disgusting, moldy cup? Best solution? Throw it away. Where does it end up? A landfill! Keep your the disposable cups and lose this ridiculous plan already.
Starbucks has mugs there right now that are made of plastic that look exactly like the disposable mugs and they cost like $5. I have four of them in my house and I use them for coffee at the house every morning. It’s not that big of a deal and it’s easy to clean and lightweight.
It seems like human beings as a society are never happy. First they complain that we’re too wasteful and we need to recycle and then when a business decides to participate in it people complain because it’s going to inconvenience them. You can’t have it both ways.
Not interested. If I have to deal with either bringing my own cup or the added inconvenience of managing their mug or paying a deposit for one to return, I will just get coffee somewhere else. If I wanted extra work I would just make my coffee at home for free. Bad idea.
