Is there ANYTHING WE can do to fix this at all?

    1. Ronny

      Not go

      1. B

Boycott Disney. How can you justify spending mega bucks to have a bad day.
The magic left Disney awhile ago. Now their just about getting the most money.

      2. Leon Brenner

The reservation system to limit crowds is a joke. Disney’s definition of “capacity” is when one last person can be body surfed past the turnstile without falling out.

  2. JB

    That’s nothing.
I’ve been to Disneyland on a “sold out” day where it was dangerously crowded. Almost no movement possible. What a waste of time and money!

    1. Romyeaux

But not since 2019 have the parks reached capacity. (40,000) The new system of booking your parks before you come gives you a reservation. Currently, the parks are being held to about 1/3 of capacity to allow for social distancing.

      1. Maximum Bob

This is not accurate. The last time they REPORTED their capacity (months ago), it was 35%. They have increased capacity rapidly since then to over 80% of maximum. The only reason they aren’t higher is because they limited park hours so all crowds are there at once instead of being shifted between morning and night.

      2. John H

Well, the social distancing idea is a joke now

      3. R

Nope- they are not using the reservation system to keep capacity down- they’re using it for staffing. Otherwise, it wouldn’t be crowded.

      4. Gprice

But look at the picture, Romyeaux! Does THAT look like “social distancing”??
        That dog won’t hunt anymore!
Disgusted with the greed, and the “Nothing to see here” attitude!

The constantly recurring pop-up ads on this site are maddening.

      Just saying.

        Seriously!!!

Literally every SPRING BREAK… nothing new!

    1. Lawrence Lewis

      Exactly

  4. Mathias Lindroth

Yes, I’ll be visiting Disney World, this spring break. I’ll be visiting Animal Kingdom, on the 17th, which is St. Patrick’s Day. In other words, I’ll be visiting a green park, on a green day. I’ll be visiting the park, with my cousin and his family, for the first time, and it will be their first time visiting that particular park. We’ll be arriving early in the morning, to avoid the big crowds at the entrance. I hope and believe this visit to Animal Kingdom will be the best one I’ve ever had!

    1. Bill

Crowds are huge all day long.

  5. Rich

Our family of 2 then 3 then 4 have been to Disney World on multiple spring break weeks. We have historically had great times during this week. It just looks like it is too crowded this year to visit. After the pandemic, even more people are being drawn to this area. Adding to our decision is the extra cost associated with the visit. Fastpass has been replaced with Genie +. There is too much reliance on cellphones to get through the day at Disney. You have to order food and navigate your day using your phone. I hope we can get back here after the rest of the world visits together. Going to be another few years at least. But certainly looking forward to going back when it is a bit less crowded, or they bring back some more perks that have been greatly reduced. It’s too much money to spend to stand in line all day to ride 2 or 3 rides.

    1. Absolutely agree , we’ll wait till vacation time, spring break and seasonal tourist go home. We’re to old to those type of crowds. Disgusting that attendance isn’t restricted so not so crowded, greedy bastards.

  6. Lawrence Lewis

I realize some people are constrained to school holidays, but this year is not the year for a Disney Vacation.

  7. Jessica

I was at all 4 parks just the past couple days and I have not seen in crowded like this is many years. Getting on the monorail, and Ferry was actually dangerous at one point, I took some photos to show the crowd levels as well. At one point my husband yelled OK everyone!! Stop pushing we will all get on the boat!!! It was actually the most packed I have experienced myself and we go monthly.

  8. Anastasia

I live in florida and I purposely AVOID Orlando ALONE this time of year. It’s awful!

    1. Rooftop Voter

I live in Florida and I purposely avoid Orlando, Disney, I-4, Irlo Bronson Highway, I-Drive, the 417, 528 and whatever else is up there. There are NO off times anymore and something is always under construction.

  9. Rob

When is do spring break crowed go away? We’re going to be there next week.

    1. DMD

Spring Break crowds will be there at least mid April, after Easter week

  10. Michael Knight

In the thick of it with 4 adults and one kid. Paid top dollar for 4 nights. As long you are good with skipping most of the top rides, like standing around, and never want to eat, WDW is great! Started working Genie+ at 7 AM. Got Haunted Mansion at 11:20, Star Tours after that at 3, then “No Availability.” Average standby for major attractions is about 90 minutes.
Disney Enchantment fireworks show at Cindy’s Castle was redeeming, but I doubt I’ll do this again.

  11. Sam

Looks horrible not fun at all we regret buying annual passes

  12. Ronny

    Yeah, not go

  13. Sal

Yea wait in line to get in so you can wait in lines. No thanks.

    1. Rooftop Voter

I see you have military service experience like myself!! EVERYTHING in the service was ‘wait in one line so you could wait in another line.’

  14. Kevin

How is it possible that WDW has decreased the amount of people they are letting into the four parks yet crowds are MUCH larger in the parks? Am I missing something?

    1. My thoughts too! You have to have a reservation to get in the park how has thus happened!!

    2. Ann

You are not. Disney has made a mockery of park attendance. They have exceeded park capacity every day last week. We have eyes, we can see how many people are there. We as guests know by looking at a line how long it may take to get on a ride. Why can’t anyone at Disney see this? I thought they were all so well educated? They get the big bucks for literally doing the least amount of work for the guests. So what we can do, the only thing we can do, is not go. So sad. Thanks boob cheapskate!!!

      1. Rooftop Voter

It is not about guests having a ‘memorable time” in the parks anymore, it is about how much can we squeeze the patrons out of their last dollar and make them feel good to the point they come back again.

      2. Kevin

I’m going in July (Surprise family vacation. I personally would have waited at least another year or two) and I am not excited to be going at all and am really not looking forward to it. 🙁

  15. Pennmom

Absolute nightmare at Hollywood Studios. Paid for lightning lane and no choices were available even at 7:00 a.m. Lines were 3 1/2 hours for stand-by so your whole day was waiting in lines and if possible 2 rides. Whatever happened to the Disney Dream??

  16. Ken Brenner

I would assume people know two things:
    1. Spring Break is a crowded time
    2. This year will be even more so since people are going after the mask rule is gone and they haven’t been in a while.
So, with this being fairly common knowledge, to go anyway means not complaining about the crowds.
I wouldn’t even consider it, even if I still had kids at home.

I’m an annual visitor and plan to go the first week of November, hoping the rush to get back to WDW has passed (especially since kids will be in school).

I suggest families wait until another year when the demand settles down (assuming it will).

    1. Rooftop Voter

Always cracked me up those parents would take kids out of school for a Disney vacation.

  17. Will

It was pretty crazy at the parks. Just tons of people. The big problem we had was getting back home. The TSA line was a 3-4 hour queue when we were flying out. So even though we were there 2 hours before our flight, we had no chance of getting out. We were supposed to leave last Friday, and just got home today (Tuesday). The winter storm that hit the East coast didn’t help much either.

  18. John

Don’t forget the body odor! OMG! People STINK there!

    1. Rooftop Voter

Oh how I have smelled that! Many visitors from other countries do not practice the same hygiene habits as we do. Yes, some are pretty rank. Really want to soak up the aroma? Go in August when the humidity is 200%, the temp is just below the melting point of lead and stand in a line for 2 hours while your shoes melt into the pavement. Did that once, by mistake. Learned from that one.

  19. Arturo

Apparently the reserve system isn’t working like intended

  20. Eddy

We are at universPotter, better overall with Express pass.Got Express passes from 4pm.The all day passes are sold out.Got here at 450p.been on both Harry Potter,Spiderman, jurassic park,Kong island in just 3 hours.

  21. Joe

Time to add a new park in another state. Demand is so high, o-en one up in a central state.

  22. Angie

We just got back, and while it did feel crowded in certain areas at certain times, it did not feel as bad as this article makes it seem. We were able to ride every ride, with the longest wait being 125 minutes for Slinky Dog Dash. Stayed at Caribbean Beach and the buses and Skyliner were fine – no overcrowded bus, only had people standing once. We went into it knowing the crowds would be high, but were actually pleased with how much we were able to do.

  23. Lolo

Do NOT waste your time or money bringing kids too young…IMH OPINION, that would be at least 5 years old. Way too many frazzled parents and crying kids. They won’t remember it anyway.

  24. Bill

The problem is that Disney allowed the sell in the Fall of last year of inexpensive annual passes to our Florida friends. Out of state fans only had one expensive option for an annual pass. In turn, the parks are being flooded daily with Floridians. EPCOT itself is more like a hangout than a vacation. What can they do now? Nothing. This was a bad decision and makes a Disney less of a value for vacationers. It is simply too crowded. There is no 30 percent capacity rule. That was over a long time ago. It is simply packed.

    1. Bert

I don’t think that’s true. Florida residents have certain blackout days (the cheapest ones especially!).

  25. Alexandra

I’m pretty bummed about seeing this. We are headed there next week. I thought it would be better.

  26. Janice

We just did AK, HS, Epcot, and MK respectively over the last 4 days… Are the parks crowded? Yes.. Is it Overwhelming? At times… Were we able to get on every ride we wanted at every park? Absolutely, with the help of Genie+… Its Disney, it’s always been crowded, and it being spring break we went into it knowing it would be crowded. Everything was magical and amazing for our family (2 adults n 2 kids, 7 &11?
