Massive Theme Park Bans Guests From Re-Entering During Park Hours

Comments for Massive Theme Park Bans Guests From Re-Entering During Park Hours

A roller coaster full of people riding through a loop at Six Flags, with most passengers raising their hands in excitement. The track is a mix of blue and gray, and the sky is clear with a few clouds. The riders are dressed in colorful clothing, adding vibrancy to the scene.

    This park is still open?
I visitde this park in the early to mid 2000’s and it was the absolute most DIRTY, DISGUSTING theme park I’d ever visited.
If this CEO wants to attract business, creating such harsh re-entry restrictions is absolutely NOT the way to do it. No one wants to go there anyway. This will absolutely keep people away.

Well if human beings cleaned up after themselves and waiting for others to do it for them, then the park wouldn’t be disgusting. Apes and chimpanzees have better manners then human beings

Ummmm….it’s six flags GEORGIA. Enough said!

I only read the titles but I can’t believe Disney would do this.

Is Bob Paycheck doing double duty and running Six Flags also?

You can’t “pop in” to Disney parks any more. Locals hate it, understandably, but as someone who has to plan their visit this so much better. The parks were insanely crowded with the people who would pop in. As for not allowing- re entry, well I think there’s theme parks are going to price and restrict themselves out of business is they don’t watch it.
I’m not going back to any Disney park until things smooth out. Too many fights and stress now.

Most Six Flags parks are local and do not attract big tourist numbers. Especially not ones that are coming in then leaving and wanting back in an hour before close. Most likely the reason for this is the park has to clear all lines for the rides. Meaning it stays “open” until the last guest in line goes through the queue. Allowing re-entry an hour before closing can cause the park to stay open almost 2 hours later depending on the time of year. Add in that a lot of park employees are teenagers with state restricted work hours and it can quickly become an HR issue. This rule does not ban all re entry, just an hour before park close so I don’t know why people think this is such an issue.

I can’t agree more. If you don’t like don’t go simple. But it’s not like six flags over Georgia is drawing in a huge tourism crowd.

      Fully agreed

I would welcome a move like that at Cedar Point. The only people coming back in that late in the day are either causing trouble, or causing parking lot backups. Instead of being able to run all lanes outbound…they have to keep the inbound lanes open, which really bottlenecks the traffic. Good riddance to the late line jumpers.

I think Brian forgets the two-way “inbound” traffic on the Cedar Point Causeway and Cedar Point Road (Chaussee) also welcomes those staying at Hotel Breakers, Lighthouse Point, boat owners at the Cedar Point Marina (who are permitted to live in place on their watercraft) and year-round residents with homes along the Cedar Point beach. More importantly, this “inbound” traffic pattern also allows emergency vehicles access to the above when needed.

It is a dirty park I spent 2 hours there and left didn’t feel safe on the rides but carol winds was supper nice .

I would make more rules than that. Extending hours is not for the same people to stay 10 hours, but they do. Then they leave with thousands of others after parks close and then complain about crowds, traffic, etc.

leave early and you won’t have to deal with throngs of hot sweaty people who don’t leave the entire day.

Or shut up and stop complaining, you asked for it.

I was practically raised at Disney and grew up with fond memories of the parks, movies, and weekly television. That Disney ended years ago and you could not pay me to go back there. It is a cess pool of woke-ism and I have never been to Six Flags, but if I seek that form of entertainment they will be my choice.

wow another crap article! Can write enough about one topic so gotta add filler. What does el toro derailing have to do with the subject mater? o thats right nothing!! This site is trash it used to be good but there “writers” are lazy or just not very smart… All they care to post is mostly social media posts(not a good source of info), ads and filler, very little real content. And no fact checking or nothing to put out quality, not that they probably give a dam…. O and Fyi Six flags dont have 27 theme parks they have 27 parks but only 15 are “themed,” water parks dont count as themed(unless its like volcano bay or parks with themes like that). Six flags has 12 water parks+15 theme parks big difference in the two….

I’m sorry that you don’t understand how website engagement works. The articles cited at the bottom, (the one that mentions El Toro), isn’t part of the article on this page. It’s a mere suggestion on more reading, that you’re welcome to check out, or not. If you’re going to criticize someone’s writing ability, you should at least try to have proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation in your post. Sadly, you’ve failed on all of the above.

As someone who needs food for medical condition to survive a theme park day but also does not want to send money on food in the parks, this is a bad thing for me.

I can only think of two reasons to do this: 1) cost savings (empty the park earlier) or 2) keeping out “riff raff” who may have gone off site and had a few too many. Maybe it’s both?

I’ve been going to Six Flags over GA since I was a child. I can almost guarantee this has always been a rule. They had small signs hanging up that said no entry an hr before closing.
