Paragraph 3…When did Expedition Everest move parks? Thought it was in Animal Kingdom. But what do I know.

    1. KevinMB

      Jason, you are absolutely correct.
      Expedition Evrest is at
      DISNEY’S ANIMAL KINGDOM.

Cast member barged through screaming at guests? I’m picturing Disney Auschwitz.

LL has screwed up the ride ques A LOT. We were at Mk in Sunday. Peter Pan had and 85 minute wait. We were in the que for 50 minutes and got inside the kids nursery. Then the line stopped moving for a good ,20-25 minutes. I was getting claustrophobic and we ended up walking out. Something similar happened a few months ago at AK. We were in line for the safari ride and it stops moving for ,20+ minutes. We had dinner reservations and had to walk out of the que.

Lightning lanes and single rider are 2 completely different lines. I went through the lightning lanes with no problem except for one ride and that was because it broke down.

I was one of those people that was in that long single rider line at Rock n Rollercoaster. I waited over an hour, before a Woman stepped forward and Complained. Then the line moved after that. I am an Avid Solo Traveler and I have always seen the Single Rider line as a Faster way to get on the Ride 90-95% of the time it is.Literally last week I was in Epcot and I rode Test Track 5x in a little over 1/2 because of the Single Rider Line.I know the parks fill up fast and Everybody wants to get on Rides, but as far as RRoll, I do not see why the Cast Members can let at least 10 people to pass every so often.Even if they get in the ride together,It is only a Ride,I do not care who I ride with as long as I get on the ride .Maybe Disney should start and rethink the loading practices with the rides.I am an Avid Disney fan and I want to continue to keep doing so ,I have been here over 30x and I Love the Place.

Why would they let just let so many through on the single rider line? It is only there to fill in when there is a single seat open.

In the prior fast pass system, I never waited in line more than 15 to 20 minutes. The current system using Disney Genie is designed to keep people in line for hours. The secret in the past was planning your trip 60 days in advance of your trip including scheduling 3 fast passes for each day. I have been to WDW well over 100 times and only once waited in line for an hour. All other times I was on the ride in 15 to 20 minutes.

Whenever the lines are too long – I demand a refund of my park ticket price ($500+).

A few years ago Disney took a few days to give me an answer – and I disputed the charge with my credit card issuer – and got the money within 24 hours.

You pay for an expected service. If Disney fails to provide that service – it is a breach of contract and potential fraud.

    1. Jordan

You do know that if you dispute a credit card charge, they normally give it back regardless, right? The only one you are screwing over is the credit card company, not disney

        Wrong and wrong

        1. Jordan

Not wrong lol. I’ve dealt with stuff like this all the time

I bet you are fun at parties

The fact that you claimed to wait 2+ hours and just stood there tells me all I need to know about you. Like normal line is 90 and you waited nearly double that. I really think this is all exaggerated for content. Someone who knows about single rider isn’t gonna stand there for 2+ hours.

I’ve had trouble with the single rider line at Rock N Rollercoaster even before lightning lane. It’s been a few years ago but they would put 2 groups of 3 together instead of pulling from single rider.

    1. JS

That’s what they’re supposed to do. The single rider line is to fill in once operators have done their best to fill from the normal line. You’re not owed a fast line, though it tends to be. They shouldn’t leave it still for 20+ minutes though.

I was at Disneyland in California on Sunday 3/6/22 and my wife and I used the single rider lane 3 times for Star Wars Smugglers Run and had no waiting time while the stand-by line was an hour. We even got to ride together twice, the first time as pilots and the second time as gunners. Third time was as engineers and we were on separate cars. I really appreciated the single rider line.

I was always under the assumption single rider was introduced to fill out empty seats that a standby group couldn’t. In this scenario, single riders are last priority and should expect to wait if groups are filling out seats completely. The priority is LL > Standby> single.

Honestly, I think it is crazy that people would be fine waiting even an hour or more to go on any ride. With kids, I don’t see how that turns into an enjoyable experience. Used to visit Disney many times over the years, but done with it. Between the nickel and diming, jam packed crowds, there are other better experiences. Probably wouldn’t hurt Disney to build a few more parks too.

If anyone hasn’t watched the defunctland video on Fast Pass I think you should check it out.

    1. JS

Second this. Literally the best video I have ever seen on YouTube, it was cathartic. Be prepared, it’s long.

    A fool and his money….

Does the writer of this story have proof of this guests supposed complaint? There’s no link to provide proof and no one is named. ‘One guest said…’ This entire ‘story’ feels made up as a way of pushing Genie + on people. Anyone with 1/2 a brain knows Genie + does not work. Just another way for the Walt Disney company to get more $$ from their guests.

I’m sorry but you people that wait in line longer then 20!’ins are crazy I bet you are the same ones that wild pay 10$ a gallon for gas to get to Disney and 500$ To get into the park. But yet bitch and moan that you have to wait in line for a ride you get no sympathy from me. I think you are just crazy
