The woman at Cedar Point was not on the ride. She was waiting in line when the piece flew off and struck her.

What an unfortunate incident. With all the problems that have plagued Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point, they just need to go on ahead and close the ride for good.

I love rides. However, I do drawn the line at some really extreme ones. I had a very minor injury after going on the free-fall slide at Wet ‘n Wild many years ago. The rush of the water where you slow down at the bottom was so forceful that it pulled up my bathing suit bottom up my back end resulting in bleeding from where my tailbone is. It was extremely painful.

Look, I feel bad for the one armed guy. I really do. Glad he’s taken life by the horns with his feet and he’s adapted to everything, but at the end of the day, these young people are just trying to do the right thing. They don’t know these guy’s ability. Remember the legless military vet who felt he could ride a superman ride and they let him on? Yeah, he got flung off the ride, working arms and all, and was killed and they got sued. It sucks, but they’re just following safety protocol. There can’t be exceptions.

lol so he was able to be Superman for a couple seconds. Or should we say Halfaman 🤣

Years ago at Disney World when riding Space Mountain, my 5-year-old son’s seatbelt came off. He was riding between my legs and I had to hold him in . It was one of the scariest things I’d ever had happen. The park was pretty rude about it and basically said – you’re not getting your money back. All I wanted to know was that it wouldn’t happen again. They eventually changed the seatbelt configuration because I heard it happened multiple times.

Just curious – who did you speak with (title/role) who stated they wouldn’t give you a refund? A customer service manager should have given you a refund since your magical vacation turned into a frightening nightmare.

Went first of 20 plus times in 2003 and there was not a seat belt nor could you ride with a young one between your legs with a seat belt.

You have never been permitted to ride with a child on your lap on Space Mountain. Why are you making up this story?

      1. Tammy Bundleballs

        Because Internet.

You’re 100% incorrect. When Space Mountain first opened the ride configuration was smallest to largest and you sat between the legs of the person behind you. Many a time, we’d hit a bumpy part and my head would come up and hit my dad in the chin.

I got injured on the Colossal Curl at Water Country USA last September. The force of the ride threw me off the raft at the height of the circle. I slammed my head, jarred my neck and then went down the slide face down until the end. The lifeguard was completely untrained for this kind of situation. I get up, start stumbling around and all she does is offer me an ice pack. Ended up with severe whiplash and a nasty concussion. Took weeks to recover from it. Couldn’t work. Needless to say I’ll never go on that ride again. Not one lawyer in the area was interested in it. Thankfully I had already reached my out of pocket maximum so no medical bills.

I have heard that if you’re going to sue Disney, you’d better make darned sure you’re right and they were in the wrong, as they have deep pockets and will be happy to go a hundred rounds with you in court, until you run out of money and give up. If Disney is in the wrong, they’ll likely settle with you out of court to make it all go away as fast as possible to avoid bad press.

Dunno how true that is but it seems to be accurate with big businesses these days. Don’t even try to sue, they just don’t care about you. Period. It’s pathetic, the world we live in where you can’t sue for negligence. No incentive for them to change their ways.

Lol grow up. There’s a world outside your 4 dungeon walls. LMAO

I was speaking to “decent” “people” not you. You do not qualify on either word.

Then don’t read them? The world isn’t all butterflies and happiness. If you can’t stomach the bad things then perhaps you need a reality check.

    1. Oliver

You have to be absolutely delusional to think that those are “bad things” in our world. The things referred here are mostly meaningless, negligible tantrums that can be summarized as “someone visited park and wasnt happy”. Who cares, 100k other people were perfectly fine with their experience at the same time.
The only snowflakes who should go and cry in a corner are those entitled people who whine about every little minor thing that wasnt up to their expectation and this site picks up their social media wailing.

I was injured at Disneyland when the Haunted House Ride jerked abruptly as I was exiting. I fell forward and my leg was caught on the car. I was screaming and an employee came over, freed my leg and tried to help me up. I was crying from pain and asked for help. He helped me up and over to a place to sit. My knee was the size of a baseball by then. He told me I had to walk across the park to the nurses station. I asked him to call a ride, I could’nt walk. He refused. My friends carried me to the nurse and she had me motrin, wrapped my knee and told me I needed to dl out paperwork near the front entrance. I, agai, asked for a ride and she said no. I went to the front, being carried. The girl in front cave unglued when she heard the story. She started making calls and apologizing. They got me a wheelchair immediately. She said Disney would pay all bills and was very kind. I told her I wasn’t sue happy, I just didn’t want it to happen to anyone else. They refunded my admission and my friends for our entire stay and have me a free wheel chair if I wanted it. I saw dr, I had torn my cartilage. Disney paid the doctors bills and then followed up with me. I thought they were amazing. Some people needed further training and I’m sure they addressed that. They were wonderful and kind, everything you’d eclectic Disney to be. I was told the three people I initially dealt with were new cast members and a supervisor should have stepped in. Life happens. I love Disney and was very pleased at how they handled things.

Manny is a sad example of a loser who blames others for his lack of success in life. Anyone who is different scares him. He has the mind of a child.

    1. Manuel

Isn’t that the irony, they aren’t different than me…other than the fact that they are mentally challenged. See there are two genders…yes seriously…only two. I eagerly await the autobiography you are writing on me based upon your vast level of knowledge concerning absolutely nothing.

Aw poor snowflake. Go cry about it in the corner.
