    Colonizer
    Colon, colonizer
    You’re a colonizer
    Oh, colonizer
    Oh, you’re a colonizer, baby

Much pearl-clutching over nothing. Anybody with an IQ higher than their shoe-size and no social justice axe to grind can plainly see the name of the character was not chosen with any malice whatsoever.

Also, onsidering the actual dismal sales numbers of American comics these days, Conan titles among them, it’s also painfully clear that most of the people browning their shorts over this nothingburger are merely hopping on the bandwagon to virtue signal, and aren’t readers of the comic at all to begin with.

      Thumbs up

The writer of this article needs to find something else to do.

The Disney movie does not have her marrying John Smith. He is a love interest though.

Thank you for pointing out some important facts. My family traces its roots via my mother’s father back to Thomas Rolfe who was John’s and Elizabeth’s (Pocahontas) son.

I even had one clueless woman insist that she had the moral high ground to insist on appropriate treatment of American Indian tribes even though it was pointed out that she descends from original New England colonialists associated with the slaughter and enslavement of 3 tribes of Pequot Indians in 1639.

Way too many people, mostly white, are usurping and mis-appropriating the point of view of other peoples to justify criticism and dictate morality.

Free speech and art should be free. If people don’t like something, they should look elsewhere and let artists, writers and others alone.

I can’t be the only one who still doesn’t see a problem, right? Poor Marvel. You went woke to cater to a bunch of nutjobs, now you pay the price.

  7. Conan the Barbarian

Created in 1970 by Robert E Howard? He died in 1936 and was the sole creator. And anyone who has taken the time to read the stories knows that this form of respresentation was normal for his style. Not saying it is kosher in 2022, but if you don’t like it, don’t read it. Comics are garbage anyway.

The comic book version of Conan was created in 1970, based on Howard’s stories by the other guys mentioned.

      A bit more accurate.

The colonies were a good thing. This is a fake trash Communist rewrite history story.
