I’m all in for the “Obi-Wan” series as long as it doesn’t undo or contradict the anything in the Prequel Trilogy and most importantly the events the are clearly cemented in the Original Trilogy. No rematch duel necessary between Obi-Wan and Vader. It’s not needed. If this happens in this series, than Star Wars in truly dead, and I’m not alone in this.

Obi Wan Kenobi in the original said something to the fact that they dueled once more after Anakin turned. So for that reason, I’m *IN* on a rematch. Gen 80’s here

      1. James

No, Obi-Wan NEVER said anything implying that he and Vader had dueled again.

Didn’t vader act as if he didn’t know kenobi was still alive in ep. 4? So something happens inbetweem 3 and 4 to make vader think he’s dead imo

I like Hayden and how he played Anakin. I’m glad that he will reprise a roll of Vedar in new series. Obi Wan is one my favorite characters and Ewan is one of my favorite acters, so for me is a Win Win situation. But my apsolutly best character in Start Wars is Quai Gon played by Leam Neeson and I would like to see one Day a series about he’s life on Disney.

      Im glad Hayden is back

      1. Lucas fan

Love Hayden’s performance and the prequels are far superior to the sequels in story, character development and the depth of the universe created. New SW all about the money and making political points.

I’m glad Hayden is back. I liked him in both Star Wars EP 2 and EP3.

      2. Mary

Definitely Hayden was the perfect Anakin and I’m very happy that he’s back!! A big fan here! Loved the prequel trio, hated the latest trio. Good luck Hayden!

  3. Natalia

Love Hayden as Anakin and Vader. Definitely bring him back for other projects. Every one I know loves him. ❤💙 Thank you!!

I am an older generation star wars fan but I loved Haydens portrayal of Anakin and Vader, I thought he was excellent and never understood the hate he got. I can’t wait to see him and Ewans Obi.

Same here. I am older generation and fan of the original Trilogy. I never understood the hate of Haden either. I liked him as Anakin and Vader.

Stop with this crap that it was “the fans” that had issues with Hayden Christensen’s performance. Much of the criticism came from THE MEDIA and still continues today.

You people love to try and rewrite history, but many of us were there at the time and remember it very well. Enough with the blaming of the fans—the media started it, had the loudest voice and should take responsibility for the level of criticism and hate, that was thrown at George Lucas, young Jake Lloyd, Natalie Portman, Hayden Christensen and at the Jar Jar character. Get over yourselves.

      I agree.

  6. Absolutely mad for this series, I am an old starwars fan and I thought Hayden was brilliant as Anakin, even though I thought the first two prequels weren’t great. For me Revenge of the Sith was great and the series following those events with Ewan and Hayden is just perfect.

  7. Shannon

    I agree.

Other child actors have made a comeback from terrible roles. Adding a few years of life experience can make them much better at future roles. Robert Pattinson has made a good comeback from Twilight. With the right writing and directing Hayden Christensen could be great. Unfortunately Star Wars is a marketing machine, and great writing, directing and creativity is seen as far too risky by the layers of management and merchandising. Stale lore is treated as gospel instead of loose guidelines. Everything must be PG-13 safe fantasy, so it won’t threaten our line of kids toys.
I hope I’m wrong and Star Wars re-invents itself.

  9. Missy

I thought Christensen was great and am so looking forward to seeing him reprise the role!

  10. Hannah

That infuriates me Hayden did an excellent job playing Anakin!

No one in my circles had a problem with Hayden, he came off whiny in Ep2 but it was the dialog that was the problem. He didn’t leave film because of hate? I’m not sure where this is all coming from.

I’m grew up with the original Star Wars trilogy. I was Very turned off to the prequels – mostly due to Jar Jar- and I refused to watch the next two prequels until just a few years ago- bc my daughter got interested. Once I watched The Clone Wars- I was able to watch the prequels with a new appreciation for Hayden’s portrayal. Couldn’t stand the Last Jedi- Darth Vader will always be the ultimate villain. The Emperor represents pure evil— Darth Vader was Anakin and his fall to the dark side and ultimate redemption is such a human story we can all relate to- not unlike stories from the Bible or Greek mythology. I’m thrilled Hayden is back and would like to see him show up in Asoka series too.

Yes!! with out doubt, it will give it strength and power for the outstanding story.

  13. Jeremy

Hayden Christensen had all the acting skills of a tree in those Episodes 1 and 2.

  14. Jeremy

Sorry…I meant Episodes 2 and 3…I can’t blame Episode 1 on him. Jake Lloyd was even worse, but he was just a poorly cast kid.

  15. Roland

If a actor like Hayden make People hate him , then he playes his role very well to my opinion . Some People May see less difference between acting and real life.

  16. Carl

Hayden Christiansen did really well with the direction and script given. As Harrison Ford said of George’s scripts “you can write this s#|t, bit you can’t say it!”

  17. Sharon Carpenter

Hayden is a great actor and the Star Wars prequels were good. It’s always hard to live up to expectations. Glad he’s back!

  18. DJH

I loved how Haden played Anikan and Darth. He played them both awesomely. Cant wait too see him again play both charecters.

  20. Damion

I’m so happy for Hayden! I love him as Anakin and looking forward to seeing him again!!

  21. Richard Straitifg

Well I’ve been there from the star since star wars hit the silver screen. Each episode has been interesting for sure. But the hardest role in star wars is to be the one to play Aniken Skywalker who becomes the legendary Darth Vader. Haden who may not had the experience of most actors did face that challenge and for what he had to work with did quit well with his role. I mean come on now someone had to be the first person to fill that role and those shoes to become the lord of the sith. It will be interesting to see him once again as the seasons man with so life experiences under his belt to add to his performance in his up and coming role. I wish him well.

  22. Samantha

I loved Hayden as Anakin! Even the corny dialogue people critiqued about his role are classics. I think he did great with what he had to work with and It’s just part of Star Wars humor now. For me the Prequels are the best films and Revenge of the Sith is amazing!

  23. Ronald Van Daele

Yes, Yes, Yes. He is a treasure in the star wars universe.
