This is why we can’t have nice things: trash gonna always act like trash no matter where they go.

    1. bruce sandoval

You are right they have no class

      1. David

You have people who do this in public restrooms on toilet seats!

    2. Trixie

Well said! People are just so full of themselves nowadays. My feeling – anyone caught defacing Disney property (or ANY property, for that matter), should be arrested and fined. If it’s Disney property, also banned for life from ALL Disney properties!

      1. Debbie

I agree with Tricia and others stating these people are trash and should be arrested, fined and banned from all Disney places. People need to show respect for people and places. It’s a shame

        1. Roger Massie

This is far from surprising to me. Look at the queue of Runaway Railroad. The decals have been peeled off making the area look ugly. Everywhere you go all across the Disney property you’re on camera. Why not on the queue of Smuggler’s Run? The eye I’m the sky has made it virtually impossible for cheats in the Vegas casinos. A little more surveillance cameras tucked into the queue area would stop or at least slow the problem

      2. Wayne

This tells me the line wait is too long in combination with them being bored. Need something interactive and entertaining to do in line. Maybe staff come around and strike up conversation and ask how they are and where they are from for example.

        1. Matt

Lol @Wayne you must be kidding. The line is long so it excuses people acting like spoiled brats with no sense of restraint or respect? It indicates to me people are entitled jack offs.

          1. Josh

Couldn’t agree more. Wayne’s comment was not thought through before taking immortality on the internet. Lmao!

      3. Susan Miller

I think they should publish there are cameras in these questions and that anyone seen defacing Disney property will be banned for life. That should out an end to it and is cheaper than actually installing cameras, which would be the next step. Appalling!

      4. Paul

If caught they should be fined the cost of the repairs. Mindless act of vandalism on what is an amazing ride.

    3. Peter

      Well said!!

      1. J.H.

How do these low class slobs afford Disney admission prices???… Biden bucks that’s how… You now have a whole segment of the population “on vacation” with government money. Entitled slobs abound in this country.

        1. Serious

J.H. The appalling, disrespectful behavior of our former president is at least partially responsible too. It served as a very negative example that certain people are exhibiting, including uncalled for rage on airplanes and other places over masks, etc. So much misbehavior in society right now. Some of it encouraged by the previous administration. Entitlement plays a role too though, but let’s get real, we had 4 years of a childish, disrespectful example.

    4. Diana Foster

Exactly and getting away with acting like trash in this current time we call life. Apparently not taught any respect by their parents.

    5. Marianne

Hands down you shouldn’t deface property. End of story. Yet having been there recently, I can see how this can happen. Hard to get onto rides, and then if you’re lucky enough, the wait is incredibly long. How long just depends on the popularity. The magic is officially gone😩

    6. Wrecks

Obviously it’s super inconsiderate of guests, but I think it’s a sign that Disney should take seriously… 2 hour lines are just beyond limits…you have to do something in line. Disney has themed the ride well, but they do nothing to manage the insane crowds and ridiculous line lengths.

    7. Joe

Imaging the type of people who scrawl graffiti around your city, and you’ve pretty much got it right. Ghetto trash and hoodrats.

  2. Deborah

A shame that people are so selfish and immature that they don’t see a problem with destroying other people’s property. Disgusting.

    1. Kimberly Cole Zemke

This is why they have to keep raising the prices to keep the trash out.

      1. Bimberly Hole Lemke

        Only hearty rich folk. Right?

        1. Joey B

          Exactly!

        2. Dumberly

Uh oh someone got their feelings hurt 🙁

      2. Sandra G

The amount of money someone has isn’t a measure of decency. Well off folks can be jerks too.

      3. Cookie

They have to keep raising prices to repair what people trash and deface and to clean up what trash people leave behind. Remember that picture of the table filled with all the food mess left behind?

      4. LM

        stupid comment!

      5. Kathle

Who’s to say that this is caused by trash and raising prices will keep the trash out? The culprits could be the people with money that feel they are entitled and can do what they want because their parents can use their money and influence to keep them out of jail. Stop blaming all of this stuff on people who have to scrimp and save for years to visit Disney.
You blame it on “trash”. Are you one of the entitled rich??

      6. Backcountry164

Typically it’s people with loads of money who feel like they’re entitled to do whatever they want…

      7. Tom

Trash begets trash. Nuf said. It may no be all ghetto peoples either. Some of the elitists who will only visit Disney one time to get it out of the way may also be guilty. I’ve seen far too many of them at Disney travel planning sessions.

    2. Disney Fan

These people are not only selfish and immature but are ignorant low-life scumbags. I don’t understand how they are getting away with this. If I noticed someone defacing the wall, I would definitely say something to them and the staff.

      1. Katrina Dymond

        Sure you would.

        1. Sandy

Why you would not!!! That is why the world is the way it is no one speaks up.

        2. Jamal

Maybe you would’t…bus some people are gutless cowards.

    3. Not me!

Certain groups of society will always act like this.
They can’t help themselves. They know nothing will happen to them when confronted about because add whatever ethnic group and racism and voila, automatically get away with it. Spending absurd amounts of money to wait hours on end in overcrowded spaces at any theme park isn’t worth it.
Go to a national park somewhere, anything, just avoid those clap traps.

      1. Tricia

People are also defacing national parks. It has become a huge problem lately. Several times just within the past 2 years, ancient petroglyphs in national parks in Utah have been defaced with graffiti from visitors who think it is “okay” to carve their names or penises over top the ancient artwork on the mountainside.

      2. Kim

Your comment means you assume no white folks are doing this, only POC? That’s mighty racist of your.

        1. Emil

“Certain groups” doesn’t assume any race. You are to one who made that jump. Who’s racist now?

    4. Hunter

OH MY GOD WHAT A SURPRISE. SUCH A SCANDAL. Glad I read thirty miles of this for nothing.

      1. Vanessa

        Lol this

        1. Coffin

Yes so much unesasery info for it to just be about a ride line.

    5. NotaKaren

Yes, how dare our youth be so immature… the nerve, smh.

      1. Shanice

You’re right. We should ignore and coddle. Never ever discipline and shame the bad behavior. Smh.

    6. Denise Castello

I couldn’t have said it any better!

  3. Bobbie

Start putting bullets in people’s heads.
Deface the property and you get shot.
    That should stop it.

    1. Nydan

      You’re a special boy aren’t you

      1. Paul

Sarcasm (noun): the use of irony to mock or convey contempt.
“his voice, hardened by sarcasm, could not hide his resentment”

    2. Keith

I’m with Bobbie! Contrary to what you mother told you Violence does solve problems.

      1. Yup same people shooting at cops looting stores can’t have nothing nice

        1. NotaKaren

Right… because more “looters” are killing cops than coos killing… gee… everyone. Smh.

        2. Lion

“Luke is dead between The Last Jedi and Rise of Skywalker?” I’m pretty sure Luke is the one who trains Rey and makes an appearance in episode 7, 8, and 9.

          1. FL-Dad

You know 7, 8, and 9 are going to be erased from canon, right?

    3. Fred

It is becoming tedious reading your articles with the rule that each one has to end with a question to provoke people to comment. This if us that read you every day get kind of sick of the marketing trick. It is insulting and disengenuous.

      1. NotaKaren

        You aren’t wrong.

        1. Lando

Story correction: Han Solo and Luke Skywalker are not deceased before The Force Awakens. Han dies in VII, Luke in VIII.

      2. DMD

I agree Fred. These new writers are not doing a good job at writing and sharing Disney updates, info, and items of interest. I get the feeling they rarely go to a Disney Park for real reporting. They are getting Trash stories from Social Media and ending with that question to start “conversation”…or conflict. This seems to carry over when visiting the parks.

    4. Sandy

Then we are China and Russia

  4. Kevin

Where do they think they’re at, Great Adventure? Unreal.

    1. Relrev

      My thoughts, exactly!

I was awed as a kid by the tunnel of bubble gum on the runaway mine train line. It was a feature!

  5. Dean

Who cares? Disney can afford to paint over them each night, maybe they should work on line management so people aren’t standing around bored for hours? Just the money from Genie+ pays for a new jet for the a-hole CEO.

    1. Nydan

Yep. That’s right. It’s Disney’s fault these people are classless aholes.
      Honesty,What’s wrong with you?

      1. NotaKaren

I think you misunderstand. It’s not about it being Disney’s fault. First, we’re talking about a few scratches in the wall made by juveniles, likely. Giant ridiculously wealthy corporations like Disney not only have insurance for actual defacements and other disasters, but it keeps people employed. You think Disney doesn’t understand about the juvenile brain and anyone else coming into their parks to “let their inner child go?”

Plus, dang, put it in perspective, people. There’s a war going on, at least. People who can afford, and are actually willing to pay, a semester’s college tuition for one Disney vacation and is completely outraged at some wall scratchings of adolescent bordom, needs more than a vacation.

    2. DAVID C CHINERY

Well. Easy to see who doesn’t care about others hard work and efforts.

  6. Michael J Rogers

Hey! Shoot ’em in the head? All of the fun of standing in line for three hours is carving initials. They are better served to place things to carve. No one appears to want to go for much else right now. Karen’s run wild and I hope the park is still there when I’m able to go next year. Our luck the place gets shut down by politicized vaccinations and the people I wouldn’t want to be around regardless.

    1. Manny

Wow fake outrage to distract from the real problem. Disney’s lack of maintenance and standards to save on costs.

Promises to fill the expectations of stockholders and not guests or employees.

I have been to Disney World for the past 10 years and twice recently to Disneyland to find this minor graffiti as part and parcel of having a huge park which millions of people go to. Sorry to inform you morally upright hypocrites who want arrest the culprits and throw away the key but do not have the decency to protect themselves or others during a pandemic.

This being said private property has always been more important in this country than people. The dream of America has always been a beautiful thing yet the reality is not quite as promised.

  7. ModestMouse

A lot of folks are probably fed up they have to pay Disney’s crazy high prices and then pay even additional money to try to move up in the queue faster on the disaster that is the new genie plus service. Maybe get a handle on your crazy long line times for popular lines and people won’t lose their minds paying big $ to stand still and do nothing for half their day in the park.

    1. M

That’s right ! Greedy Disney 15.00 for a single ride p.p in lighting lane !

  8. Trent

Eventually Disney will just write it off as “art” as a budget friendly way of saving money. Be who you wanna be, do what you wanna do, yada yada

  9. Brandon

When I see stuff like this, it makes me hope that Covid is going to win.

  10. Russ

Should be automatic removal from parks.

    1. Cathy

I agree, if they do this at Disney just think what they get away with at home. Park and property removal with a lifetime banishment from all Disney properties. NO SECOND CHANCES. Iam tired of seeing bad behavior forgiven without any punishment. If this is allowed to continue it’s not long before the parks will fall to the carnival level. If I remember correctly Disneyland every night would repair, fix and paint for the next day so guest’s would have a true Disney experience with lasting memories.

  11. Kyle

When I rode it last time, someone was so kind as to leave some cargo in the ride vehicle. Pretty gross to have hand someone else bottle of water to a CM. Not sure what’s wrong with people these days and why Disney doesn’t fix the issue

  12. M

Disney is cutting back on maintenance, parks are dirty , As trash is not removed trash cans overflowing but they save money on cleaners jobs. Less paid help more money for Disney.

  13. Ran

Low IQ individuals do things like this.

  14. Alex

Doesn’t surprise me,.. my wife had a horrible experience in Rise of the Resistance,.. these huge number of Brazilian school kids cut in line and we hugely disrespectful to everyone in line, they also spoke to each other saying the would “knife” me if they needed to.. what they didn’t know was that I also understand Portuguese… I combined to Disney employees but all they did was apologize and told me I could go to customer service and report it… it was the worst experience at a Disney park.

    1. Brazilian Tillian

I was in that group. We wanted to take you to Popeyes chicken and make you pay for our dinner.

      1. Randy Senna

Once upon a time, long lines at Walt Disney World, didn’t seem long, because they were most always moving.
You got to see the same guests pass you as the flow would snake around, and sometimes get into little conversations.
Once a second entrance line was added to provide provide privilege for some guests, the result became that the rest of the guests now stood in lines that barely moved as others got their turn ahead of them.

Fundamentally people are fair deep inside and are willing to wait their turn especially when the line keeps moving and you see your turn is coming…

However when you see others getting access while you stand in a line that doesn’t move the psychological aspects are quite different.

Soon you become bored agitated and you lose respect for the area in general.
The results of which become inflammatory mood for argument and possibly to facing property by carving your initials in the walls or the stones and he facing property.
Guess doing stuff like this is not new even back in the day when people had more respect and common decency however in the first decades Walt Disney World was on top of inspecting areas for things that needed to be addressed.

Cruise at night would repair damages such as graffiti or initials carved into walls or paint coming off and they would be restored before the next day for opening.

Attraction maintenance was also a nightly thing whereas issues would be addressed right away so that everything ran at peak performance

If adults small world stopped working by the next days opening the doll was either replaced or removed and you didn’t see a non-working piece of the attraction.

Railings would sometimes be painted overnight and in general everything in the park was up to such a high level that you simply didn’t see the things that people might have done which didn’t encourage other people to do the same.

The world has changed in general and is no excuse for people damaging and defacing property however since this is a reality of life it is necessary to be on top of repairing such damage in a speedy fashion.

If not it can encourage others to add there initials to the wall.

  15. If they are caught, they should be banned from all Disney parks for at least a year. They are ruining the experience for others.

  16. Michael Bulich

Wow,the “get off my lawn” contingent is out in full force in this comment section. A few kids scratched some happy faces and a heart with initials inside into so paint. From the reaction here you’d think they spray painted the Mona Lisa. Lighten up people.

    1. Pete

You don’t excuse bad behavior. You probably did the same stuff when you were younger.Maybe you still do!!

  17. Jen

People get mad at me when I say I prefer my dogs to people, but it’s because of this kind of stupidity that I do.

    1. Kim

I waaay prefer animals to people for so many reasons. I don’t understand why security cameras aren’t catching them, and why this isn’t being repaired and painted overnight.

      1. Backcountry164

Because that would cost money. Completely ignoring it cost’s Disney nothing. Yes, it really is that simple.

  18. Wes

Figure out a way for guests to creatively express and occupy themselves while waiting in line. Make the graffiti an interactive part of the ride experience, and maybe put the best pieces on display for parkgoers to admire. Since Disney is all about making a buck, they could even sell them in a specially themed gift shop.

  19. Deb

Some of you need to get a grip stupid behaviour is not a class or race thing ! It’s just kids being a holes

    1. Beth

For sure!! and by the way, it is usually the “Entitled Kids” that do this stuff. So arrogant and spoiled, no discipline. ” my child would never do that ” mentallity. Allowed to run the parks with no concern or respect for others!!! Please stop blaming those who are “poor”. and as for the person who said ” A few kids scratched some happy faces and a heart with initials inside into so paint. From the reaction here you’d think they spray painted the Mona Lisa. Lighten up people.” Really!? you are condoning this? You probably do this yourself!

  20. Katrina Dymond

Disney, better known for their pedo productions.

    1. Sandra G

Why are you even here? If you get off on making disgusting remarks totally off the subject, maybe you should seek professional help. Or stop watching Fox.

  21. Pete

Why don’t they throw them out of the park. They have cameras everywhere.

    1. Tim

That was why MY questio. How did they not see ppl doing this if they have cameras everywhere?

  22. Gaston

Ready to discontinue my annual passes… not that they care. The four pillars they allegedly abide by no longer hold true. The Disney Difference no longer exists. The place is filthy and poorly managed. It all started when they added alcohol sales to every park.

  23. abrown

Perhaps if the line moved more quickly, there would be less time to think of destructive things to do..
    ?

  24. Gwendolyn

Please install cameras! When a selfish guest defaces any Disney property they should be apprehended and evicted from the park. If they should deface Disney property a second time, they should be banned from the park.

  25. Sandra G

So many saying “If Disney would make lines move faster…” Garbage, folks. CHOOSING to wait several hours for an attraction doesn’t give you license to destroy what you came to see. This isn’t about class, income level, race, or national origin, its about people committing what would be a chargeable offense outside the parks, meaning you could be arrested and fined. You are responsible for your behavior, not Disney.

    1. NotaKaren

Exactly. Thank you for being rational.

Whole lotta Karens and Chads on this thread, smh.

    2. LM

      👍👍👍

  26. rrhoads

To me stuff like this shows me how much people can be disrespectful, shameful, Idiotic, and pea brained. Defacing a property is one of the lowest things you can do next to being biden. But I’m not going to stoop that low I have more class than that!

  27. Rob

Like you said, “get ready to punch them”. Kidding. They should be immediately escorted off property. Maybe they’ll think twice. Maybe.

  28. Carolyn

Being residents of Florida we enjoyed going to Disney .. I really am shocked that people have to carve anything !! It’s sickening to me that people do stupid things to destroy enjoying by others!

  29. Alan

Defacing property is always wrong. That said…the pictures in the article don’t really live up to the outrage of the writer. I don’t see a picture with thousands of cases of vandalism. When thousands of people are qued up for long wait times, someone is eventually going to carve or write something. When one person does it, more will always follow. Disney knows this. Its the price of doing business. They will eventually paint over it and move on. Maybe they should be covering it up more often so the magic doesn’t get lost. The best way to handle stuff like this is to get rid of it quickly so noone else gets any ideas.
I am guessing that if you go through other lines, you will find the same thing.

  30. Joy

Just last week I went thru the queue for the ride. The marks and scratches from people actually appear ’in universe’ and look fine. Also if you look at all the other queue lines It’s no different than any other queue in any other place.

  31. Bob Aboeey

This generation of 20 to 40 year olds leaves a lot to be desired. Elitist mentalities and still living with mom and dad does this to poorly raised children.

  32. Backcountry164

Far less damage than Disney has done defacing the Star Wars franchise…

  33. Jeffy

Boredom is proof of a weak mind

  34. Deb

I’m going to take a different point of view on this. Remember the days that this kind of stuff was not seen for over 24 hours? Well, if you allow it to stay it will just encourage other people to do it. You also have to remember that some of those queues just don’t move due to lightning lane. This gives people the opportunity to deface the property.

    1. MK

Agreed. Park upkeep is pathetic now and the lines are stupid.

  35. Lisa

Has anyone seen the line for Buzz Lightyear lately? Seems that the “art” of defacement and graffitti is not just taking place in another galaxy! This behavior has been going on for years, since people either get bored waiting or have no respect period! If you ask me, it’s a combination of both and hearkens back to the fact that disrespect has become the norm, since parents have stopped teaching the niceties at home.

  36. Vanessa

This article just feels like an advertisement for the ride lol not to mention it’s meant to look “worn” so really it doesn’t make much of a difference

  37. MK

Fire Chapek. The paint is obviously falling off and the graffiti is partly idiots and partly because the coating they used is obviously trash. So tired of the Disney parks being run down and not kept up to standards. Pay a fortune to see a park full of crumbling peeling trash, pathetic. Fire Chapek.

  38. Brenda

I can totally relate to how big of pigs people are. Just work in retail and you’ll see how disgusting people of any income are. I have lost so much respect for people. My parents taught us how to respect others property’s. Most nowadays could care less because they think they’re entitled to do what ever they want.

  39. Nurbles

Too bad the graffiti “artists” don’t have much of an imagination. If they did, then their “marks” would all be Star Wars themed and could, in a way, add to the attraction.

  40. Giin

Oh look, kids are doing kid stuff. Y’all made it sound like it was something unusual, like spray paint all over it.

  41. Ted Baxter

I say it was the Jawas.

  42. Kevin

Not surprised, people suck. Set up cameras, kick them out of the park and get the police involved. Maybe a good canning would be effective.

    1. Coffin

This.section being so toxic over teens being teens. And I don’t care Karen how your kids would never, they would. All snot nosed teens do this crap. Get over it. It’s a line. I thought someone broke off a piece of the ride or actually put something on the ride itself. It’s a waiting line guess what waiting lines in theme parks all across America look like this. You think Disney would be different? That’s funny that you did. Boo hoo. Get over it. There are worse things that have been defaced. Think about the national parks that keep getting graffiti. And I’m not sure it’s the class thing. I remember when a group of boy scouts, actual boy scouts nocked over a rock formation. They should have known better and they still did it.

  43. Kevin

Bet your kids are a real treat to be around, you are the problem!

    1. Kevin

      Not meant for mrbob, sorry.

  44. I was waiting to go, too.

  45. Daniel

I mean Pandora gets defaced as well. So, let’s use that same energy to call those guest out as well.

  46. Mickeymouse3

    ME-lennials hard at work.

    1. Kovalik

Millennials are in their thirties. We’re not carving smiley faces into walls at theme parks.

      1. Kelly Tipton

Yes you are. Your generation is awful people

  47. Randy Barker

Add more camereas.pay to.monitor them and then permanently ban them when they are caught.

  48. Tom Morrow

Well I agree that no guests should be doing this another reality that hasn’t been mentioned here is the fact that once there is one little nic in the wall human psychology is just going to invite room for more and more, especially with people stuck for extended wait periods in long attraction queues. If Disney would stop being cheap and would touch up the paint on the wall like they used to be known for doing every night across the entire resort then people would also not feel encouraged to add to the vandalism. I’m not saying it’s Disney’s fault that this has happened but once there’s one little mark made by someone there it’s only going to attract more until it’s been repainted and repaired.

    1. Tom Morrow

      *While I agree I meant

  49. Your Mother....

    Surprised!?!?
I’m surprised it’s taken this long for it happen!
    Welcome to the real World!
    People do stupid $#!+
This isn’t the first and won’t be the last. For those of you who ‘thought’ otherwise your an idiot.
Let people make their mark! It adds to the authentication of a ride/park!
Stop trying to bully them. Yes, in a perfect world this kind of thing wouldn’t/couldn’t be allowed. Luckily, we DON’T live in a ‘Perfect’ World. Get Real!
    …Seriously!

  50. BLACKBETH

Well thats definitely the perfect war to ruin something awesome for others if the ride is closed, like really want kind of twat would do such a think. How would they lile it if I paintballed ther car? Or keyed there tv or game systems. There are a lot of decent people but also people that would do this or steal something from one of the cool display stands its terrible, and yes even with something this small.

  51. Kelly Tipton

    Disney Star Wars is terrible!!!!
