I hope they get upset about Haunted Mansion’s “Nightmare Before Christmas” overlay that happens EVERY YEAR

I agree Mike! Leave these rides alone!

No, no more star wars. Not everyone is a fan. People come to Disney for the magic and to see the mouse. Well we used to, 15 years in a row but now we’ll give it a break. It’s not as special as it’s all too corporate now. Closing parks early for ticketed events yet no refund for not having access for that time. It’s getting to where it’s not worth the money.

It’s only for a short time, it will go back to the bland and normal version, and with any luck they will do Ghost Galaxy for Halloween *oh no! another limited time overlay!*. Honestly it’s not like the ride itself changes. The turns are still the same, the speed is still the same, the flashing photo lights at the end are still the same. All that really changes is they add the X-Wings and laser beams.

Distraught? Over a stupid ride? These kids need to get over themselves…there are many real reasons to be distraught over..a park ride is not!

Stop the madness! Star Wars appeals to a lot of people, that’s true, but not everybody! I think I saw the first three movies and I was done with it. I have no idea what the storyline is and don’t care. Space Mountain is about space, something Walt Disney was fascinated with. Leave it alone. Not every single attraction has to be themed to a film. At least not in the eyes of guests. All they’re worried about is how much Star Wars merch they can cram into the gift shop at the end of the ride. I’ll raise my hand as someone that won’t be buying any.

I love the Star Wars overlay of Space Mountain at Disneyland, CA. Disney could have saved so much money turning Tomorrow Land into Star Wars Land. They already have Star Tours and they only need to overlay Space Mountain with Hyperspace Mountain, change Buzz’s Astro Blasters to Star Wars Droids Attack featuring C3PO and R2-D2, use both floors of the Star Wars Launch Pad with the top level be all different VR Attractions such as lightsaber dual, X-wing pilot challenge etc., change Alien Pizza Planet to Dexter Jettster Pizza Planet, bring back Jedi Academy, change the submarines to Gungun Underwater Adventure, move Phasma’s March to Disney Star Wars Land and bring back Darth Vader’s March and finally change Autopia to Podtopia instead of mini-cars to mini-pod racers. It would be amazing!

        I could get behind those.

Never was a fan of Hyperspace Space Mountain. I love it the way it is. It’s my all time favorite ride. Also agree about Haunted Mansion Nightmare Before Christmas, I don’t care for that theme either and strongly feel that it makes the ride boring and all the black lighting just doesn’t appeal.

This happens every year, like this is isn’t new or anything so I don’t get why people are acting like it is

I thought the whole point of Galaxies Edge was to have all SW related things go over there. Not everyone is a crazy SW junkie, I just think it’s enough. Space Mountain is kinda dated, they should update it, but stick with the space theme. It has the potential to be awesome. I think the Ghost Galaxy is perfect for Halloween.

I miss the old rides (pirates of the Caribbean, space mountain) before the changes (due to some people thinking it as offensive to feminism or towards kids.) if they don’t like it, then just leave, don’t make a fuss about it. One opinion shouldn’t deter everything that Walt Disney has put his heart and soul into this park. He made this park for family, not money. He made it so that the kids are safe and it stays clean. Idk where they decided that money matters, but I think they should have put their money into better service and repairs rather than movies. They should just stop making movies for awhile and focus on the issues of the park and the bad reviews they received. I’m just disappointed in how things are because I looked forward to going there someday. Walt Disney would be disappointed of this outcome.

Bob is just like Biden. He knows his days are numbered so he is trying to do as much damage as possible as fast as he can

Really a pitch black roller coaster with a couple of mirrored disco balls is what people are up in arms about?? I think theSW overlay was one of the best coaster upgrades I’ve experienced and was blown away. I was so disappointed the next time we went and it was gone. I thought it was a permanent change for the better. The original is soooo boring.

I bet if you took 100 ten year olds and had them ride it both ways they would all say the SW version is better. Did Walt want things to stay the same to cater to grownups who resist change and long for the good old days or change with the generations. If you don’t want SW then use the same technology and create a different theme. I’m sure it was great 50 years ago but it lacks for 2022.
