Funny this is out here because this is exactly what happened! Only I thought I’d made the reservation, I also told them when I was coming and which park I wanted to visit each day. My app didn’t work correctly and I did not know it didn’t. It wasn’t until we were there that I couldn’t find it on my phone. It was not linked to the app! We had reservations for hotels and flew to Florida and this thing threatened to derail our whole vacation! And have you ever tried to call Disney?! Hours on the phone!! It’s insane! Finally, we just showed up! Thank God for the sweet girl at the ticketing window. She could see that the app was not linking to the tickets. We made it through. We had a nice time. Sincerely Thankful!

  2. My husband said on our last vacation 3/10/22, “this ap is crap!” Says it all. We were told that our room would have a Disney alexa; no, it didn’t. Trying to get a cast member on the phone was impossible from the parks. They put you on the generic phone service (on hold 2 hours to ask for more towels in your room). They should have a direct line to the resorts. Couldn’t cancel genie plus and get your money back on the ap when Rise of the Resistance ruins your day (had to hoof it to guest relations at the park entrance). Park reservations are only for Disney to save money. Disney schedules employees to work based on that. Cast members are probably hoping daily reservations go to capacity.

The whole thing is complete and utter nonsense.
Why ANYONE would want to bother with it is beyond crazy. Most people would not accept this in any other aspect of their lives.
Imagine, going to a concert, theater, museum, exposition, etc. You buy your expensive ticket at the window (let’s say it’s $300.00) your told, enjoy the show, nothing else. As you try to enter you are told “sorry, YOU can’t come in” but of course others are going in. You go back to the window and ask for your money back to be told, “no, we don’t do that” and “it’s YOUR fault for NOT investigating if we have a SUPER special admittance “pass” for you on that date and time for the amount of people you have with you”. You ask, why did you take my money for a useless ticket, your told to consider it a donation. As you walk away without your money or ever getting in, you see hundreds more people waiting to buy those same tickets. Why would anyone put up with that?! Worse yet, why ever do it again?! STUPID is the only thing that comes to mind.

Well, good thing the tickets are not useless. You can use them during the following, what…. year? So you would just go on the app and schedule a day and go then. That’s why they still want people to purchase on the website and it has you pick the days BEFORE you actually purchase the tickets.

Herein lies the problem. You pick the days for pricing, not for reservations.

Without “reservations” the tickets ARE useless. Period. Full stop. Anyone buying same day tickets at the window, anyone whose g-kids have an impromptu visit, anyone in the area for business and had a day to go to the park, anyone older than 40 who doesn’t choose to be a phone zombie, anyone who is not computer savy or have the capability of 4g, anyone who just happens to be in the area and wanted to see WDW/DL, anyone who is spontaneous, ARE ALL UNWANTED AND UNWELCOME AT THOSE PEDOPARKS! Then to add insult to injury you can not get your money back. Ridiculous fraudsters.
Far better places to go in Florida where they actually welcome their guests.
