Chapek and his entire regime of cash grabbing, magic killing, bean counters need to be forced to resign. This business model of price gouging won’t last forever. Parkgoers have been home too long and want to get out and have fun. Until we vote with our wallets, this will not stop.

But how can peoople be PERSUADED to vote with their wallets?

  2. You did not mention the loss of the Magic Express. The money grab may work for awhile but it will end. Many of these things are stupid moves, but especially the Magic Express. Guests fly in, take the ME to a Disney Resort and most stay in the bubble, on property, spending all their time and money at Disney.

JOSH D’AMARO, the one name that everyone FAILS to mention. As for all the smaller price hikes in the parks, Josh D’Amaro is the only one who can feasibly influence them….NOT Chapek, although Chapek’s business model has the power to set such things into motion……..So we need to ask ourselves, if Chapek left but D’Amaro STAYED, would the parks be much better, or is D’Amaro an EQUALLY greedy person in a more appropriate positon to execute Chapek’s plan. Think about that. LONG AND HARD……..

If you are staying at the Disney resorts without parking a car, be sure to check your final bill. They charged us for parking for 6 nights . The clerk at the front desk was very polite and did remove the charges, but I have heard that quite a few people do not realize that they have been charged for parking until much later.

My family went yesterday, all the costs have gone up, food is crazy cost,we use to stay on property, but can’t afford to do this anymore ,it’s. Crazy! You know. Disney is turning in he’s grave, they are spoiling what was a Happy Place

My family is seriously thinking that we’re through with Disney, and we always went twice a year. All of the new charges really disgust me. Sad, but it’s not my happy place anymore.

I always viewed the parking charge as a way to keep people from parking at the resorts for free instead of paying to park in the parks. That being said, if you have a valid hotel reservation (which should be easy to verify with a Magic band or MDE), parking should be complimentary.

They give you a card to put on your dashboard so that you could not just park there for free and catch a bus to the park, at least that is what they were doing as early as 2000.

We stayed at the Caribbean Beach in 1992, I seem to remember to board the bus for the parks, you had to show your passport that you got at check in.

Hotels have been charging for parking for years. We stayed at a hotel in Philadelphia about 5 years ago and it was 35$ a night. Several casinos in Las Vegas are now charging for parking. It isn’t a Disney thing it’s a hotel thing ! I don’t like it but if you can’t afford it complaining won’t change things.
