Won’t be long now till the ultra hip fan-people show up and start lamenting how they’re sick of people complaining about Disney…

Meanwhile the little people continue getting squeezed right out of the parks, and that’s sad when you think about it. Walt built Disneyland so the little people would have a place to enjoy time with their families, safely and affordably and not so the pencil pushers could cash out.

Ran into the same issue this week. I don’t mind mobile ordering but I have IBS so I am gluten and dairy free and the only way to get both is to order in person. Apparently in the past you could specify multiple issues but not anymore.

Soon it will be Park of the rebellion. People only take an expensive subpar experience for a short time.
The guests are more strident and treat each other like the hunger games.
Time for a time out for our family

    White privileged problems.

    1. Julian H

Puckles keep your racist crap to yourself, we do not want to see it here, or anywhere for that matter – thank you.

Just sad .That’s what Walt’s happiest place on earth has become. I’m grateful for the past experiences, memories and photos. It really is sad the future will never know the true meaning of Walt Disney.

So how much longer are we going to have to put up with this Genie-plus ripoff? Just how much longer?????

  5. Michael

I could not agree more. It’s a greedy political company. I loved it so much and have wonderful memories but my recent 7 day stay at the yacht club changed that. They won’t see my money anytime soon

    1. Lee

Were you staying club level by any chance? Wondering what that’s like now🙄🤦‍♀️

Sadly, Disney should be getting us all OFF our phones, not spending our day using them to do everything.

    1. That’s my opinion as well. I want to tuck my phone away and enjoy the parks, ya know, pay attention to your kids & family, take in the experience now it seems they want you glued to the darn thing.

    2. Agreed I’m sorry of holding my phone and having to look at every time I need something. I’d rather look at the scenery and take in atmosphere. My time there is my time. Not to make it convenient for Disney. Really sick of it!

    3. Joe Kean

I already use my phone a lot in the parks to find my way around and check wait times. Much better to do that than run to each attraction to get that info or to get lost. Phones are a part of life now, time for you to join the 21st century.

      1. goaliemom

If I wanted to spend the day on my phone I would stay home.

Downsizing? Have you been under a rock for the last two years? You can’t walk 5 feet down the street without tripping over a “Now Hiring” sign! No one wants to work nowadays.

    1. Shame on you

People want to work, they just don’t want to be slaves to their jobs. When someone hires and says that you will make minimum wage and are expected to be available 10+ hours a day and cannot get another job that interferes with those available hours. That is only the tip of the iceberg. It’s not about not wanting to work, it’s about not being a slave to a company that could care leas about their employees and their customers and only cares about money.

    2. J

Agreed Chris. In my state, they still haven’t reinstituted the requirement that you actually have to prove you are looking for a job in order to receive unemployment, so we have a lot of people just sitting at home earning a check for doing nothing. Isn’t it great what the Nanny State does? Fostering more dependence on government and some of those people are lapping it right up.

The connection to Walt no longer exists. When the connection existed the principals he promoted guided the decisions the company made.
Now it’s about the profit returned to the stock holders, the officers and corporate greed. It didn’t happen overnight. It has been a slow insidious slide to it’s present place. They have completely lost their way and could care less about those that attend the parks. Magic? The only magic that exists is how they get people to believe that visiting their parks is still a must do event or place. Do the math people you’re paying about 100.00 a ride or show per person per day. Do you really believe that’s good value?

  9. Walt

There are better values and experiences elsewhere. No interest in going to anything Disney anymore.

After being knee deep in planning and costing out a WDW “vacation”, and I that term loosely, I gave it up. Not going. I am a planner, but what I was having to do-and more when I got there-was ridiculous. My family would be cranky and angry while there and I would have regretted spending my money. If we can’t enjoy ourselves and relax, that’s not a vacation for me. And no, it’s not what you make it when you are being controlled every way you turn. I’ve since looked into other destinations and am much happier.

Disney has become the Mecca for young people without kids or mortgages or other responsibilities except themselves. Prices could go sky high and they’ll still pay and wait in long lines for the FOMO. Vloggers don’t help either.

  12. HIlary

I would love to mobile order, if only Disney could catch up with the times and allow people to make changes to what they are ordering. I am lactose intolerant and cannot eat cheese on my burger but all Disney burgers come with cheese, a lot of them with bacon too. My hubby doesn’t eat pork. I should be able to modify my order. End of story

  13. Julian H

The mobile ordering is only good for Disney, no one else. You mobile order and still have to wait, and when your food arrives its still cold…

    1. Jim Kean

Ordering by phone is good for me bc I can order before I actually get to the restaurant and have it ready for pickup. Similar to Uber Eats pickup but there is no extra charge.

  14. Lions not sheep

Corrupted by corporate greed. They no longer care about their guests or employees. Money is the root of all evil. The Disney company has turned to the dark side for sure. Not only that but they have too many skeletons to trust. The amount of illegal actions they partake in is insane. They are not family friendly anymore and continue to get worse. They are practically a cult now.

I have been a Passholder for years, but no more! Not when I can go to Europe cheaper than a 7 day vacation at WDW.. the magic is no longer there – it’s all about the money not the experience. The cast members used to be so friendly/helpful but that was in the past. Now they just seem annoyed all the time. I think Disney needs to return to the past and stop being “woke”!

    1. Greg

Agreed! Been going to the park since 1956. Now Questioning the value of renewing our annual passes. The light has gone out above the fire station.

    2. Love your comment couldnt have said it better! Woke is right!

  16. Jim

Genie + is a scam. Pure and simple. Now you pay extra for something that was originally part of your entry ticket to begin with. It’s all about the almighty dollar… everything is a-la carte – imagine buying a car and just when you think you are ready to go the salesman asks if you want tires on that thing… oh, and you might want some seats with that too. And so on and so on. I got suckered into paying for the Genie + because we thought we would maximize our time like we used to do with the FastPass… but no matter what we did in EPCOT with THREE of us checking constantly, we couldn’t get anything – it said time and time again that we either were “not eligible” or we were just to slow to nab it. Walt must be turning over in his grave… this is NOT the Disney World he set out to make.

    1. Jim Kean

Sounds like you did not research ahead of time to learn how to use G+ properly. I was able to get multiple lightning lanes in every park without having to be on my phone all day.

Walt died 30 years before Fastpass, nice try there. Thing about fastpass is that only the regulars who booked 2 months in advance got anything out of it while everyone else got nothing. Now the system has changed and you dont want to put in any effort to learn it.

How many of these complaints have been directed directly to Disney? I agree with most of them, but Disney will not change from blog complaints. They will only change from direct complaints and/or no money being spent at Disney.
