Disney Dress Code

I think inappropriately dressed guests (based upon Disney standards) should be barred from entering the Parks. I’ve seen too many people posting about how they’ve purposely worn clothing that is not acceptable (per Disney rules) with the sole purpose of getting free clothing via a voucher.

    1. VDog

The problem with that is that all they have to do is cover up with a sweater, over shirt, whatever.. and then stash that in a locker as soon as they enter the park, and presto! Free Disney merch and more followers on instagram! Pretty pathetic

      1. Yvonne

Disney has every right to have a dress code but should also consider updating it every so often. Times are a changing and Disney needs to stay ahead of the curve if they expect to continue to grow their theme park business. They should stay out of politics, and should be a theme park for all the people. I will not visit any Disney Parks, properties until they wake up to reality. Nor will I buy any Disney products, view their films. Your loss Disney, feel the burn in your pocket book.

        1. Natalie

Like Disney, a billionaire company, is gonna care about one less person. I hate comments like this. And if by politics you mean the don’t say gay bill, it’s not political. It’s people’s basic human rights.

          1. Lauren Jen

You clearly didn’t read the bill. It’s the stop sexualizing children in elementary school. Stop grooming kids.

      2. Dorothy Roberts

Its hot here always. She was comfortable but the ties were a safety issue? she was young and cute!

    2. Never ya mind

Dont hoe up to go to a family theme park. There many weather appropriate options to choose from as far clothing goes ..

      1. Adam

        Yea, as little as possible

    3. Russell

Just make them buy the shirt. Make it a plain white tshirt and charge em cost. Easy.

      1. Jonny Sharklaser

Make it solid black. If these influencers are willing to admit they’re dressing inappropriately to get free merchandise, can they really be trusted to appropriately cover up with a plain white t-shirt in Florida where it’s possible to synchronize your watch to the summer’s daily downpours?

    4. Cathy

My daughter was denied admission because she had a purse with metal studs. They said it could be used as a weapon. 🥴

  2. Craig

I’ve been dress coded once. I wore a beach themed t-shirt that said “Phuket” on it – ie the Thai Island, city and beach resort. I didn’t think anything of it until I was told by a cast member that phonetically it was very offensive. I had to wear a sweatshirt over the top of it for the whole day!

    1. Bob

I would have complained to Guest Services. That seems like a stupid cast member.

      1. Billie Hanson

Obviously, you don’t know squat about Disneyland.

      2. Katie

I once wore a “skort”(shorts that look like a skirt) at senior night and was told it was too short. No private areas were hanging out. I even explained to them it was SHORTS (not a skirt) and they didn’t care. Wouldn’t let me into the park until I changed into these hideous oversized kahki pants. It was so embarrassing (happened in front of all my friends). I was genuinely a modest kid so it was so bizarre to be called out for “sexy” clothing. Way to sexualize a young girl, Disney. I guarantee they don’t worry how short guys clothing is. Haven’t been back since. Just a horrible, shame inducing experience.

      3. Monique

Why is this an issue?? Family friendly my eye!! Half the attractions aren’t running and they have the gall to complain about clothing?? They’re lucky anybody still wants to go there!!

    2. Dorothy Roberts

      turn it inside out.

  3. Tim Boyd

Is this Disney World or high school?

    1. Tim Boyd Jr

You must not understand how businesses work…

      1. Viktor

Lol my guy, I could wear whatever I want in pretty much every other setting when I’m paying. Disney is just being stupid lol

        1. Billie Hanson

          Their park.
          Their rules.
YOU’RE just being selfish and entitled. How typical of you to support the stereotype.

        2. Kevin

Try going into an expensive upscale restaurant wearing ripped jeans, a T-shirt and flip flops and see how far that gets you. Be sure to tell them “I can wear whatever I want when I’m paying.” as they are escorting you out the door.

      2. Lynn

I saw a number a disgusting outfits when we there there a couple weeks ago. Boobs nearly falling out of tops, extremely offensive! They should Not Be allowed into the parks like that

        1. Nik

Where do u suggest we leave the boob?

        2. Dan Mongosa

We’ve all seen Ariel wear a lot less than that at Disney.

    2. Sarah

My son was in his make a wish trip and it was 100 + degrees.. he had just finished playing in the water area ( was 5 years old at the time) and didn’t have a shirt on.. since it was in the stroller drying.. thrown right out…. We had no idea!!

  4. Rox

This is a family oriented place; there is no reason to dress for Rio de Janeiro beach. Common sense. And stop this voucher nonsense. Why reward arrogance and stupidity.

    1. Travis Weberling

Rox, For what Disney charges from.parking to just getting INTO the park as well as for the overpriced & small portioned food, I think they should use common sense when it comes to dealing with people & ” the dress code policy”. I mean, as people aren’t wearing a t-shirt or a hat or both that says FU on it or something on those lines, then there shouldn’t be a problem. All confronting customers about dress code is going to do is cause Disney to lose business.

      1. Billie Hanson

Those are YOUR standards not Disney’s. You would do well in life to learn the difference.

        1. Dan Mongosa

We’ve all seen Ariel wear a lot less at Disney. Just saying🤔

      2. Nick

It doesn’t matter what the cost is, everyone knows the prices they’re available on multiple sites. Rules are rules, it’s a privately owned and operated place, those who refuse to follow the rules should suffer the consequences of their own actions.
As far as loosing business, Disney doesn’t want the business that willfully violates their policies.

      3. JS

They constantly insult their customers and don’t seem to care about losing business so I doubt they care about people threatening to take their business elsewhere when asked to cover-up.

    2. Michael A

Every hotel on Disney has a swimming pool, do they make women swim in burkas? Technically it’s Disney property with guests.

  5. Christine S

years ago my 18 year old son had a Bud Light T-shirt on and when they were getting a photo pass taken they had him put the shirt on inside out because he was under the drinking age. No complaints he did as asked and we still laugh at the picture today!!

    1. Adam

      I would have complained

  6. Kevin

Dress like a whore, get treated like a whore. Its that simple.

    1. Viktor

Damn Kevin, sounds like you’re projecting or something

      1. Kevin

Ah “projecting”. One of the favorite buzzwords of the left. Sorry you can’t understand that choices have consequences and if you dress a certain way you will be perceived a certain way.

        1. Billie Hanson

You mean right? Oh forgot. They’re vocab isn’t that strong.

          1. nick

Before you criticize, try getting your grammar, spelling and punctuation in order.

          2. Kevin

Lol! Seriously. Especially when you try to criticize someone about vocabulary.

    2. Puny

To Kevin they flaunted they will get haunted

    3. Tonya

Well said, Kevin. I would have busted my daughter’s @ss!

  7. F.

Disney can promote all the lbgtqt+ to young innocent kids but they tell adults what to wear and remove them from the park? I think their prioritys are a bit mixed up.

    1. Ff

Oh no inclusion. Your poor Cis Het White Male world. What a piece of garbage you are.

      1. Fff

And you’re a presumptuous piece of garbage.

And that’s coming from a non binary Latino male.

        1. Oh so your just one oc those self hating lgbt people, bet ur racist against latinos too.

    2. Viktor

If you used your eyes to read, you’d know Disney doesn’t promote LGBTQ things. In fact, Disney re-writes characters to explicitly avoid it.

    3. Disney is very anti lgbt turd for brains. Disney is stuck in the 50’s and theyre going to die one day because of that

      1. Nick

Actually, they’re not anti, many cast members (as well as people working in their movies) fit into the categories you mentioned and they’ve been supportive of the alternative lifestyle community for many years.

        1. Nope

My wife works at Disney. They are actually anti anti lgbtq. If anyone,0 casr, says anything to a friend or coworker that is overheard, they are jumped on. Most of the managers and staff are lgbtq.

  8. Many years ago, wife & I with 2 -10 year olds. We all had red shirts that said “ wrap your ass in fiberglass” with a picture of a corvette. We were asked very nicely to go back and change ..which we did, never thought about it when we put them on….Disney was RIGHT…

    1. Tonya

Takes a big man to admit wrong doing, Jack. Thanks for being a great example for your children.

  9. Edward

Itty bitty titty committee.. 😜🥰 If the top came off, nobody would notice, me thinks. 😂

    1. R.Kessinger

More important question: why waste your time and money to go to an overcrowded, overpriced ‘park’ run by people with childish attitudes, and filled with rude, self-absorbed adults acting like bad children? There has to be something better and nicer to do.

  10. If you’re paying thousands of dollars to go to a theme park, you get to address however you want. This is not the 1950s

    1. Kevin

Uh, No you actually don’t. If you go into a PRIVATE business the business has a right to tell people how to dress. You don’t have to like it and you don’t have to enter the place but the business still has a right to enforce a dress code. It’s not your world and you don’t make the rules.

    2. Karla

Wow, entitled much!! Not your park, not your place to make the rules only abide by them or GET OUT.

    3. Nick

First of all, going to a theme park doesn’t cost “thousands”, your entire vacation may cost thousands but admission to a WDW park will cost you between $50-175/day depending upon age, time of year and residency. Those rates are posted in multiple places, there’s no secret.
Second of all, it’s a privately owned and operated place which have rules. Those rules are posted in multiple places, there’s no secret.
If you don’t want to pay the prices and/or don’t want to follow the rules then you have only yourself to blame for any related issues

  11. Oh so your just one oc those self hating lgbt people, bet ur racist against latinos too.

  12. Sodie

Who does this pedophile business think they are…whats the matter, is this little girl too old for has….you all should be in prison where your heads can be stomped and crushed. Just my opinion

  13. Robert

Good for Disney to secure the integrity of the Disney experience! Hooray! Time for people to reconsider their appearance and quit being so righteous! I don’t want to look at them either, that is my right, stay home if you can’t be decent!

  14. Robert

    Who made this a lgbyt….thing
Shut up, not everything is about that, quit throwing it our faces and I would respect more…

  15. Angela

Ok it was a shirt held together by string. But they cant say anything about that and then allow all the other ones walk about the park in only sport bras, shorts with their butt cheeks hanging out or so short you could probably see other parts, or the ones that think the yoga pants with no panties that show off their anatomy are appropriate wear. They come back with the excuse they cant catch everyone, but they could. They testee everyones temp, the individually watch them walk through security, so its possible.

    1. Bill

That actually WOULD cut into profits, and we all know Disney doesn’t want that!

  16. Xander Cage

Are you kidding me. My family and went one year as the gays poorer in wearing extremely inappropriate outfits and Disney said nothing. Walt is rolling in his grave right now with the way that Disney’s CEO has turned Disney into a LGBTQ heaven.

    1. Karla

      Troll much?? 😂😂😂

    2. Goheidigo

Not enough Gay, Xander. Not nearly enough.😉

    3. Bill

I’m here right now, and that is not even remotely the case. Based on the randomness and lack of relevance to the conversation, I’m gonna go out on a limb and say this story is completely made up. There’s plenty of things to complain about, but that’s not one of them.

  17. Mike

I don’t know. It made my member wiggle, so I think it’s ok.

    1. Kevin

So you like underage, underdeveloped girls? Good to know, pedo. Hope some government agency is monitoring your internet usage.

      1. Michael A

So you’re admonishing any man who dates or marries a woman with A-cups or flat chested.

        Eff You psycho

  18. Anthony

Back in maybe 2006 I was attending Epcot, walking around the park with a few friends a security officer started to approach us. He came up directly to me as I was wearing a Halloween Horror Nights shirt the security guy out a sticker over one of characters face. So not as extreme of a “dress codeded” but still it’s very real.

  19. Adam

She’s cute, i don’t see anything wrong with what she was wearing #herbodyherchoice

    1. Cam

      #theirplacetheirrules

  20. Bill

That’s what this site is. They have an agenda. That said, Disney brings most of their problems upon themselves.

  21. Claudia

There is a place and a time for everything. Dress accordingly. why is it so hard to understand?

  22. Robert Mitchell

I got confronted by the Disneyland Gestapo in the parking lot for drinking a beer with my lunch. The guy was threatening and unnecessarily abusive. If that had happened where I live, we’d have beat the snot out of him. Never been back

  23. Lennie

In the ‘60’s I was not allowed in wearing jean shorts, and guys with long hair were not allowed in.

  24. AMJ

At least her to was better then the woman at Disneyland that had a bra bag on…it looked like a sling around her neck, with 2 bags, 1 for each breast. No tie in the front, so they swung freely…
Her Instagram showed her bounce along to the front gate. Photo inside DL showed her with a jean jacket on, open front, boob bag in place, telling everyone to recycle as she stood next to a trash can. She got to stay in the park…Betting her jacket was buttoned up going on. Would like to see how it did on any ride, tram included

  25. TjValion

Too bad you aren’t black. Black girls/women can walk the parks practically naked and Disney management curls up in a corner like a beaten puppy in fear of being called racist.

  26. sjewels

I see nothing wrong with the shirt she had on.her boobs were covered ,so what if her belly showed, big deal.If her shorts were showing her butt cheeks….the shirt didn’t help & WOULD BE INAPPROPRIATE.But we had a mean old man on a scooter, tell my granddaughter to move her “fat ass ” in a disney store, when she was trying to shop with me(also in a scooter) Which is also INAPPROPRIATE ,but nothing done about that.

  27. Alex

There are kids at the park! This isnt edc or some pagan dance event. People who do this should be banned from the parks. Theres so little deceny left dont ruin the little we have.

  28. Carol

We just got back from Walt Disney World with our two teenagers. When we got back, my husband said he has seen way too many women’s breasts. It used to be that it was the prostitutes that advertised their wares with their clothing. What are these women advertising? The teenage boy with us was amused and disgusted. Actually, don’t women know how ugly they look? On a sidenote, we were there for two weeks and were treated exceptionally well every day by Disney employees.
