It’s horrible that someone would take anything from a stroller but I also would never leave anything of value in a stroller to begin with.

    Ah so much magic…

Been going to Disney for nearly 50 years. I know there are issues that go on at Disney, but nothing like what I have been reading about lately. Seems there are no boundaries or rules for guests anymore.

Well, the Disney corporation robbed them for the inflated ticket price, the reduced experience, Genie + and the price of the merchandise – having their things stolen just completes the theming circle.

What’s the chances Disney employ undercover operatives to swipe the goods back and return them to the shelves? It would be in keeping with its managerial greed.

I guess Joe gets the tinfoil Mickey ears when he visits.

It happened to me 16 years ago at Disneyland. It was me with my 2 little boys, my mom, my brother and his family. Everybody decided to go on Small World so I went to fo park my stroller. My youngest son has fallen asleep so I had to carry him. Because of this I left all of our souvenirs including my mother’s stuff on the stroller. When we went back to pick up the stroller we discovered all of our souvenirs were stolen off the stroller. However when I went into the Emporium on Main Street to get new souvenirs for my boys the Cast member replaced them for free when I told her their original ones were stolen.

      3. What a sick and twisted comment. Only a person like YOU could come up with a theory THAT stupid. I doubt you’d even say something like that, if YOUR souvenirs were stolen!!!

It’s awful to think crime is getting brung into disney parks , but we never buy anything in the disney parks until its end of the night, as this is a possibility that people do, do this, & I personally wouldnt be so trustworthy , even if it is disney , crime happens everywhere even disney now

We were at Disneyland with our 3 daughters and set their hats on the stroller during a parade- someone stole them in seconds when I turned my head!🤬Ive never forgotten it and it was 15 yrs ago-
    I couldn’t believe it

I had a stroller stolen from HS. The people had the audacity to leave their very dirty similar stroller and take ours.

I’m glad we don’t have a stroller anymore. However, when we did, everything in it went with us on rides. Now we just wait until the end of the night to buy our souvenirs

Laid my camera on top of stroller to look at shirts n someone took it. Only took one time use ones after that

Our daughter’s wheelchair was stolen from just in front of the big fountain outside of Disneyland about 10 years ago. We left it to shop inside the gift shop that was crowded. Reported it to security and they said they weren’t responsible for anything happening out of the Parks. No magical experience that day!

    1. That was STILL on their property. They should have been held accountable.

Took my mom to Disney world last month. Since she’s 74 I rented an electric scooter for her. We went into the Hall of Presidents and left it outside. When we came out, it was gone. Someone took her scooter. The cast member working there have us a manual chair and a fast pass for Small World while we waited for another electric one to be brought from the front gate. What a suprise when we got off Small World….. someone took that chair as well !!!
    Just couldn’t believe it !!!

Just got back from Disneyland. Was standing in a crowd waiting for fireworks when my backpack was tugged on hard enough to rotate me. I saw a man quickly walk off. It wasn’t until we were driving home that my son realized his (pretty nice) sunglasses were stolen. They were clipped to the outside of the backpack for easy access throughout the day. Apparently it was easy access for pickpockets as well. Lesson learned. In the future we’ll secure our belongings better.

In the early 80’s me and my family to was at disneyland and someone took all the twinkies and peanut butter sandwiches out of my stroller in the basket. Guess they were hungery.

We had the opposite experience several years ago. My wife left her purse near Mexico at Epcot from lunch until after the park closed. We realized we lost when we need the keys to the car. Cast members didn’t have anything in lost and found but they found it right where she left it and nothing was missing. We couldn’t believe it.

My teenage daughter was pickpocketed at Disneyland. She was there on a school trip. All her money for food and souvenirs was taken, but her wallet with her debit card and ID was found later. It ruined the trip for her. She’s 21 now and never wants another Disney vacation.

  14. Bon

Well, the Twinkies probably gave them a heart attack😜🤢

The law of large numbers is in your favor.

There are thousands and thousands of strollers there for the taking at any park.

Why someone would bother stealing a couple of trinkets when they can just grab a high end stroller worth hundreds of dollars second hand is beyond me.

The principle is the same as usual: don’t make yourself a more tempting target than the stroller next to you and you’re likely fine.

I had my whole stroller and all it contents stolen there!!! The staff at lost and found informed us that it was a regular occurrence. Beware!!

Some years ago my family were annual pass holders and we were going on one finally ride before heading out for the night. We come back and our stroller is gone. The entire stroller. An employee helped us look and directed us to the Disneyland PD where we made a report (honestly pointless since the value wasn’t alot but the disney people acted like it was procedure). So after sitting there for an hour or two and having employees look in the area they told us sorry but nothing else we could do. Keep in mind we were annual pass holders, they had just verified our information when taking the theft report, etc. We asked to borrow one of the rental strollers in order to take our daughter back to the hotel. We were denied. We asked for a ride to the hotel, again denied. In the end I ended up having to carry my daughter all the way back to the hotel…. what a way to end a long day at the park. I understand there are lowlife people that will leech off anyone and everyone any chance they get but where Disney really disappointed us was in their response. It lead me to believe that it happens all too often and it’s just the norm.

We used to take my daughter to Disney when she was a little one. We took our own Stroller which was the Cadillac of strollers. She was able to ride in it even after 6 yrs old. I wore a fanny pack which had my credit cards, cash etc in it. All that was in the stroller carrier was water, snacks & clothes. I would have a towel over everything. No one bothered the stroller anytime we were there. This was back in the 90s. We went to Universal, Sea World, & Busch Gardens. No one ever touched the stroller. We went end of Feb -March no issues ever. Husband & i were in the area recently & was able to get into Disney, we were out there before 5pm. The crowds, people pushing & shoving, & the costs were ridiculous. No Thanks we will not step into a Disney property again.

Some of these instances could have been avoided with proper caution. I don’t condone thieves, but making yourself an easy target isn’t the way to do things.

We had our stroller itself stolen one time. Thankfully it was an inexpensive one and didn’t have anything valuable in it. Cast members were very helpful. They said sometimes its a case of mistaken identity and others is just bc parents don’t have one and use someone else’s. Sometimes it’s left in the park when it closes and moved to lost and found. They gave us a free rental one. The next day we checked lost and found and it was there! Brought in after being left in the park after closing.

That’s great. But my mom just had her package stolen in the bathroom at California Adventure and we fiked a report , but do you think Disney would just replace it for free. I mean it was a total of $22 dollars for Martian ears from the movie Toy Story. We were just there March 4th to the 8th 2022. Not like its not a tax Wright off as a loss. Walt would be pissed !

Unless they’ve changed their policy, items you purchase at DW can be sent to a pick up place for you to get just before you leave the park. Or, they have lockers. Or, if you are staying at one of Disney’s hotels, your items can be sent to your room. It’s meant to be a convenience but it can help against thefts.
I know people shouldn’t have to worry about things like this at Disney but people tend to screw up others having nice things.
