5 hours is nothing, I waited for 7 once and then they had to pass it on to someone else that took 30 days to respond. Really, they need to fix their system.

  2. I know I have waited 2 hours before. I dread calling them. It’s the fault of the live chat. Cast members on live chat overall do not answer your questions, and then you have to call the 407 number. The last 2 times I called, the prompt did not tell me how long the wait time was to speak with someone. That’s kinda important. Disney blames it on high turn over.

My wife waited 4 hours on hold to add a tour to our last trip. She would have gone online to buy the tour but wanted to make sure to get our discount off the cost. The person she finally got through to was nice enough, but was lacking in training. We had to go to guest relations at the park to get refunded the discount as that’s what the phone rep directed us to do – after taking 20+ minutes checking into how he might run through that process. The top bonus earners weren’t too concerned about this side of the layoffs at the start of the pandemic, wonder if they are now.

I definitely have experienced long waiting times to talk to a cast member in the past three years but I have adjusted to that aspect as they are a world wide attraction. At the beginning I enjoy the Disney themed music and gander but have to turn it down after a short time lol. Once I do get to talk to a cast member everyone has been enjoyable and helpful answering all questions and making reservations of all sorts. It just takes Time and patients today and enjoy what Disney has to offer.

We go on a Disney world trip every other year. After we get home my daughter can’t wait to check the mail for our family thank you card from Mickey and friends. Unfortunately we didn’t get one from our trip in 2021. Now it’s not a huge thing but it was always a nice little touch from Disney saying thank you. I called just to ask why the change. After waiting for over 2 hours the lady said it was cause of covid. Is it really covid or is it the new cheap skate c.e.o?

      That’s really sad.
Disney has lost so much of its magic. Especially at a time we’re spending more and more to go to Disney. It’s utterly ridiculous to blame it on covid.

Waiting on hold for several hours because of tickets issues ruined my vacation!! We bought 10 park hopper genie plus tickets on our app but once I shared with my family the nightmare began. We lost tickets , could see tickets or reservations I made. This was a once in a lifetime vacation that cost us thousands of dollars. Disney world has the worst customer service. Genie plus doesn’t work either , all that money and everything was already sold out by 9. Next time I’ll take the family on a nice relaxing vacation to Hawaii. Biggest ripoff ever

We had a trip in January with 10 people and everyone had to make a call to get help from Disney to be able to get se their very poorly designed app. We couldn’t get their significant other into the system. It wouldn’t let us assign their ticket to them. It took several calls at over two hours each. Calling Disney used to be a positive, fun experience. It’s now like going to the DMV.

And yet people continue to flood the parks. Can’t live without my disney fix. As a former cast member the decline is HORRIBLE. Yet they raise the prices and people still come. And so they raised the wage to 15.00 – unless your the second income earner that will not begin to cover the rising costs in Orlando markets. Take your business elsewhere there are better values and service!

Walt Disney World is NOT the Happiest Place on Earth … that’s Disneyland …..

WDW is Most Magical Place on Earth …. Just a fyi

    1. Julian H

Bull both are neither, thay are both equally the MOST EXPENSIVE PLACE ON EARTH – FACT just an fyi

I waited 28 hours on disability chat over 3 days. First day was 11 hours to get a message we are closed now try again tomorrow. Ridiculous

How long are Americans going to let mega corporations and unions dictate to them. How long will “its the covid” excuse hold water before Americans hold people and corporations responsible for their actions, behavior and extremely poor service? A corporation that has been around 70 years should offer far better service regardless of “covid”. If much smaller, newer and far more cash strapped businesses can do it and they are, why can’t mega corporations do it. It’s not about “the covid” or “the shutdown” people. It’s about getting you (Americans) used to getting/receiving less while happily paying MORE!

  12. tried at least 20 times on march 2 – was HUNG UP ON each time with the message “sorry all circuits are busy” …. not my magical place anymore trying to schedule anything

This has been my experience over and over! Getting a DAS pass is almost impossible.

That is the new Disney standard. Long lines for calls, rides, food. Park internet is terrible, Genie + is a joke. My time is worth more than the increased cost. So unfortunately after a life time of Disney we aren’t renewing our annual passes. There’s limited magic in Bob Paycheck’s (CEO) Disney.

We were at WDW and my husband called lost and found for 1 “1/2 hours on hold so finally drove over to lost and found and the rep said
“Oh I forgot about your call and went to lunch” and was laughing about it. He went into the back and after a few minutes all in the back were laughing. Will not go back.

I waited over 2 hours and then it was my bedtime. I called the next day and held for 20 minutes to be told I was in the wrong queue but she would put me back where I was, but no I had to start over just to have the same thing happen. My husband & I called different numbers and both had long holds and he finally got ONE thing fixed that we had a problem with. We would have to call yet another number to have other items fixed. I have been to Disney over 100+ times. We are going this June for my 60th birthday and 50th anniversary of my first visit. The telephone disaster is really making me regret the trip.

I just experienced waiting at least 15 hours on hold to be discounted and told that ticket services closed an hour before I spoke with someone. This was over a course of 3 days along with emailing too. The last person I spoke with addressed my issue with ease and now I am able to move forward in booking my visit It is a shame that the communication is strained and causes unhappy customers.

I had a horrific experience last year while trying to rebook our Disney Vacation from Australia. We had unused credits from a cancelled trip in 2020. I called repeatedly for days on end to stay on hold for upwards of 2 hours to then just get disconnected having never spoken to anyone. I tried emailing, using chat but was told I had to “speak” to someone in the park tickets and reservations team to use the credits. I explained the time difference meant it was very difficult to call so was told I could get a call back. I opted for that but then never got the “call back” and was subsequently told Disney can’t call back customers overseas. After bursting into tears after once again waiting for two to three hours to be connected to someone who unfortunately couldn’t help me, they told me my best option was to call right at the time the call centre opens, which was 10 or 11pm our time. I did that and despite calling straight away still remained on hold for over an hour before getting disconnected. I couldn’t believe it. After trying again the next night and getting my husband to call at the same time we eventually got through to someone but it was upwards of 20+ hours a lot of frustration and a hatred of the hold music. We recently got to go in our Disney vacation and as we arrived at Animal Kingdom one morning I heard the “hold music” and was instantly transported to that horrific time. Unbelievable! They need to sort out their hold times and ensure their staff are trained properly and giving the right information.

Disney used to be a Company that their Customer Service was one of the best in the World, how things have changed and whats sad more so is that Disney do not care. They only care under this board about taking your money.

This is nothing new for us travel advisors. This is a daily occurrence with most of our vendors.

  20. Michelle

I was on hold for chat for exactly 5 hours in January just to make my room request

The last time I went was the food and wine festival. It took about about an hour waiting to make reservations. Had a great time at epcot. Had Nevers been on rise of the résistance. So went therethe next day. It was broke after 2 hours none of the cast members telling when or if it would be back up left and went back to the resort. The room had not been clean call the front Desk to be info they only do that when you checkout. For what it cost that is un élite. Will be à long time before I stay at the there.

    1. Hillary

Well they honestly don’t know when rides will be back up. And rise is cool but it breaks so much because the ride system is, in my opinion, too complex for their own good. If it looks cool but doesn’t work, then it’s not very helpful.

  22. Bad experience!!
I am from Brazil, years planning the trip that was awful.
    “The happiest trap on earth!”
I have sent an email about my experience, no answers so far…

I think its crazy how they keep raising the price, every month or two for a family of 3 to go in December and stay at Port Orleans French Qtr it is almost $3,200.00. Then you go into the parks and if you do not buy the lighting lane pkg for the Dinsey Genie you can not get on very many rides as the lines are so long. I know your trying to make up for the money lost d/o the shut down, but this is getting out of hand. Plus otherthings that are not being done and not just because of Covid. I think the exec. are making a mistake by increasing the price all the time. I think less and less people are going to be able to afford to come with prices like you have. The Change in Epcot is terrible it makes the lands look like a big street fair. WAKE UP AND SMELL THE ROSES BEFORE ITS TO LATE. You did not even pay out a dividen last year to your stock holders, but I am sure you made sure you got your bonuses.

I’m trying for weeks to update some tickets that I bought during the Covid times and was not able to go to the parks. But they simply do not respond after waiting for hours. This will be my last time on Disney and will only happen because I already paid the tickets. It’s ridiculous for someone to accept to be treated like they treat their customers.
