for all the evangelising of the Universal Parks and Resorts, I don’t think that the reality that profit is king with ALL companies (Universal INCLUDED) is as apparent to some people as it SHOULD be…..

Ghetto describes people not a place. She is ghetto. Listen to her voice. And she would be the first people banned if ghetto was not allowed at Universal. I’m sure the media would be ok with that.

      1. B

Ghetto seriously? She don’t know what Ghetto is. So she likes Disney that’s fine but if you gonna talk about Ghetto read what has been going on there. Almost everyday we wake up to hear how another fight broke out qt Disney or a Ride broke down. At least at Universal everyone is chilled and having fun that fight really don’t happen and if there is any sign of one security is on top of it before it breaks out. So please get a life.

Just another self entitled drinker of the Disney Kool-Aid right there.

          1. Julian H

Brian – I was just about to type something very similar.

People can like and dislike the parks its OK, but this is a typical example of an entitled so and so, spoilt Brat. – Sadly in Disney they do seem to have more than their fair share of these types of nasty people.

        2. EB

You realize a ghetto is a place right? It was originally a noun that has since evolved into being an adjective as well.
Regardless I loved visiting Universal in Tampa, it was so immersive and fun!

You took a tik toc video and turned it into a story. If you had looked at the comments on the actual video you would see that more people like Universal than Disney. Hope all the Disney freaks STAY AT DISNEY. If she stayed on site she wouldn’t have to walk through a parking garage in her Kmart clothes. Disney is hell on Earth and our family stopped going there years ago when our daughter said she didn’t want to go back.

  2. Jared Harris

Seriously, you wrote an article about security exiting the parking garage and a single straw on the ground? Get a real job!

  3. Don’t make those theme parks a habit because they are really expensive and made especially for children , take my advice you really don’t want to work for them either!
I went there on vacation, left on probation, & then came back on violation

  4. Mickey mouse name should be Mike Rat!

    1. Daryl-Rhys

      You’re an idiot

I live in Florida so I know a number of season pass holders (or whatever it is they’re calling them now), who visit Disney frequently. One of them recently went to Universal for the first time in several years instead (an out of town friend had been to Disney a couple of times but had never been to Universal).

He said it was so much more chill at Universal, and that there’s plenty to see (especially since they’ve made park hopping so much more difficult at Disney now with the new reservation system). It used to be it was easy to park hop with passes or if you had the right kind of ticket. You could go to Magic Kingdom for a few hours, hit Animal Kingdom for a few hours, maybe hit up Disney Studios for an hour or two, get dinner at Epcot at one of the countries around the lake, and at the end of the night choose which fireworks display you wanted to see. They’ve made doing that almost impossible now from what I’ve heard.

The last few times my friend has been at Disney he said it was incredibly crowded (moreso than before the pandemic, and and it isn’t like it he went on a holiday, just regular weekends and a couple days during the week, which he said we’re also super crowded).

Genie and lightning pass make everything more expensive, and you often still have to wait in a line. The price of everything in the park has gone up, including food from the nice places to eat and the street carts that sell lousy French fries and ice cream that melts before you can eat it in the Florida sun 90% of the year.

He was shocked, but he had to admit that he actually had more fun at universal than he had the last few times he’d been to Disney. The lines were shorter. Prices haven’t gone up as much as they have at Disney. Disney maybe used to be so clean as to be practically immaculate, but they aren’t anymore, he thought the amount of trash laying around was pretty much identical.

Disney is doing a lot of stuff right now that can only be described as a giant cash grab. They’re devaluing the experience inside their parks in order to make probably not even that much more money. It’s sad, I’ve been going to Disney for 40 years, though I haven’t been in about 5 years, I’ve never heard the kind of complaints that I’m hearing from people now.

    1. Daryl-Rhys

That’s because people are conditioning to expect crap from Universal.

      1. Julian H

I find these days not only the Universal Park but the Hotels offer so much more for your money, and it is what a vacation should be a far more chilled hassle free time. Disney has gone way to expensive and the hoops you have to jump through its not fun anymore and feel ripped off by Disney on so many levels. With this greedy board in place I am staying away from Disney until they wake up and relearn what a vacation should be from Universal.

      2. Kukamonga

Better than the EXPENSIVE crap at Disney. 😂

  6. mark

I quit U earlier this year. It was very upsetting how bad the mgmt is as a whole, and how cheap the place is – they had record-breaking profits in the last quarter, do you think they gave each of the workers $50 or $100 to help with gas??? he11-to-the-no. I knew of coworkers that had areas that don’t even have working AC in their work areas and haven’t for years because it will “cost too much”. There are some amazing people who work at both places, but there’s far more “magic” at the big D (worked there years ago). There’s really not a lot to do at Universal beyond 2 days. I could spend over a week at Disney.

    1. Chris Wood

Oh the horror of it all, a straw was thrown on the ground. Hurry call EPA and have universal shut down and fumigated! How dare they have some kind of security at the parking garage. They should be flogged. Ridiculous, clearly the person is a Disney fan.

    2. Chris Wood

I believe there is plenty to do at the universal resorts. Walking around city walk during the day shopping and eating. They have shows and clubs at night. If you plan it right you can visit each park both universal parks and the water park in over a 4 day period. Each hotel has enough to people to do for a day.

    3. Julian H

Disneys magic has all but gone Mark, they are so greedy, I’d rather have fun and a more chilled time at Universal than at Disney. The Disney Management are a disgrace I’ve been loyal for 20 + years staying on property, the prices have gone up and up and you get less and less for it, as for the parks they are dirty trash in Disney is not cleaned up, Sorry Mark but you are wrong on so many levels. I won’t be going to Disney until this greedy board and direction has changed.

I would also add since I moved over to Universal staying on site, it is less expensive and so much better than staying in Disney the value is simply BETTER.

  7. Bella

I would love to go to Universal but l have back problems (4 surgeries and counting) and there isn’t that much for me to experience there to make it worth the money. At least Disney has attractions that people like me can enjoy. Also Disney has more IPs than Universal.

    1. lorraine

I had a broken neck about 8 yrs ago ( it healed ) so I cannot ride rollercoasters, etc that I love but there is quite a bit to do at universal . Right now is the mardi gras and that is really fun along with the street shows and a few other things we do. A daily ticket is expensive there but an annual pass is so much less especially if you live in the area. We do go to disney world more days but we go to universal 2-3 times a month

    2. Julian H

Hi Bella, I think you may be surprised with how much there is to do and see in Universal, sure they do have some fast (great) rides but they also have so much more now, and offer just as much if not more than Disney and at a little less expense. The Hotels and transportation is terrific, and made easy to get around. I’ve loved Disney over the years, but with the constant price hikes and they have made it so difficult to just get around and do what you want to do on holiday, its to much hassle and quite honestly very frustrating at times.

  8. VDog

Oooor, we’re all mature adults and can appreciate both parks?? Life doesn’t always have to be about “choosing sides” on every darn thing.

    1. Kukamonga

      BINGO! 👏🏼

  9. billnyenotascienceguy

Feel free to keep your “ghetto” arse at Disney in the ridiculous long lines from everything from rides to *laughs* popcorn buckets. Universal is clean and enjoyable anytime you wish to go because we don’t need reservations.

  10. Sandy

Personally I think universal is very eye appealing of the walkways to the parks and the people who are their are polite Disney this year has quite a lot of fights and conflicts talk about trash what about a group that trashed a restaurant and left it for the staff to clean worry about a straw get a life

  11. Tom

Don’t you mean 6 Disney theme park resorts? Not 9?

  12. Ghetto

I’m blocking stories from this website. This was the “getto straw” you put one tweet and a list of parks and figured it was worth publishing. Why do I keep coming here to read trash like this? This is the last time thanks to this!

  13. lorraine

we enjoy Walt disney world more than Universal, BUT we do enjoy Universal a lot. I believe it all depends on what you are looking for in entertainment. For me I cannot ride rollercoasters or fast jerky rides and disney has a lot that dont do that, but universal has a lot of things to see and do and entertainment we enjoy and especially right now with the mardi gras going on, great food selections…….The best thing about universal is the Annual passes are 1/3 the cost of disneys and there is no reservation system…..since we live only 4 miles away from there and about 15-20 miles from Disney World, we go there quite often on the spur of the moment which we cannot do at Disney. We enjoy both.

  14. Sue

Can’t afford EITHER place Playground for the”filthy” rich in more ways than one.

  15. Daryl-Rhys

Everything she said is true. Stop settling for second best people at Universal.

    1. Julian H

Daryl-Rhys – I think you may be a little bit “Brain Washed” with Disney, no matter what they do, or charge you it appears will blindly follow.

I’ve loved Disney for 20+ years, but they have just crapped on their loyal customers and hike the prices, giving you less and less for it and expect the public to take it. No Thank you. Disney has become very frustrating and costly and quite frankly Universal have got it right with a hassle free holiday. the Hotels are less expensive and offer so much more for your money, the theme parks are certainly on par with Disney, if not a little better.

Disney should relearn what the customer experience is when holidaying, I want to have the freedom to choose when and where and not jump through hoops or get up at 07:00 to book a genie pass etc, I’m glad you like Disney, but don’t trash Universal it offers great choices and more value these days.

      Regards Eyes wide open.

        preach sis

      2. Bill

        Preach

    2. Kukamonga

Darryl, your attitude is as “ghetto” as the one who made the video.

  16. The Joker

Ha! Universal is nothing more than an oversized carnival! Disney is way more classier Lol

    1. Julian H

Really, I think Joker your message is a joke, there was nothing of class about this family in their message quite the opposite.

I also do not agree with you regarding Disney and class, these days you are wrong on so many levels. Why can you not just enjoy the parks rather than try to make one something it is not.

  17. Leeann Jacket

Disney parks have also been dirty since the pandemic.

  18. Barbara

    Wonder why Paris isn’t listed?

  19. Will

The average working person going on a trip like this has been taken out of th equation. These parks, especially the Disney parks are so over priced its hard to see how it can be a possibility. I say pass on all of these moronic expenditures and plan a real family vacation. With so much to see in this great country it would be well worth the value of family together instead of bankrupting a budget. Walt is rolling over in his grave.

  20. Chris

Just returned from my final visit to WDW Orlando (march 2022). The Magic is gone. We waited in 5 lines before we ever got on our first ride. Waited in first line at our hotel to get on the bus. Waited in second line to get on the Ferry. Waited in 3rd line at the Magic Kingdom entrance. Waited in 4th line for Adventure land to open. Finally, 2 hours after leaving our hotel room, we got in the 45 minute long line at Pirates of the Caribbean ride. We waited over an hour in the Space Mountain line. Then it broke down just before we were to board. They told us “sorry, dont know when it will be fixed.”
Go early they said! Nothing is open early! The ridiculously over priced food and drink stands don’t open until 11am. The crowds, the lines, the lack of places to sit and relax, price gouging at every stop. Disney has perfected their ability to separate customers from as much money as possible. It’s all about corporate profits now. The Magic is gone. I’ll never set foot in WDW again. At least my 4 year old granddaughter had a good time. Her favorite memory? The hotel swimming pool!! Never again.

  21. Karl Stein

As someone who loved WDW for 35 years , but Wow Chris is right, New management at WDW has caused cost to explode. I always thought bot WDW and Universal Studios Orlando were both cool, but now WDW has lost it’s Magic, and I for one think that’s Sad.

  22. Kukamonga

The only “ghetto” thing I see in this video is this bimbo and her family. Grow the h€ll up, woman. You’re too old to be acting like a spoiled brat. Smh

  23. Bxmamipr712

Who in the hell cares what such a joke of a human being has to say about a straw on the ground?! Her videos are ridiculous. WDW has become a miserable experience with Bob Paycheck making decisions. Everything is beyond expensive, and you can’t get anywhere or do anything. The hotels are on a Holiday Inn level, yet they charge way more than upscale hotels. The Universal hotels are way more reasonable with awesome perks. And Universal is a lot more fun because you can actually do things. The ITM “journalists” can’t write actual articles. They literally go on social media, find ONE random person’s opinion on something, and write an article about it. Where does credibility come in? This is the sloppiest reporting I’ve ever seen. I’m not reading their articles anymore. I could care less what one person posts on their social media.

  24. Bill

“Disney Family?” Get over yourself. Lol

  25. E

They both suck over priced!!!!!!! I’ll go to six flags have more fun and what u pay for one day at the others you can get season pass.

  26. Rick Berkshire

    Chris is 100% correct
    Magic is gone
    No fun
Cast members harass you instead of making your experience better. But please excuse them “ it’s not their fault”. No it’s not. It’s the fault of the greedy uncaring executives running things. Doesn’t matter, the magic is still gone. I’ve switched to Universal. I’m not going to pay $200/day to get up 2 hours before rope drop to get on my cell phone all day to try and experience rides (shows not yet fully open). Less people, but lines are longer? Why? And constantly be reminded by cast members to “ pull your mask over your nose outside here in the 100° heat”. No thanks. Stupid. Not guest friendly. I’m done with Disney till they scrap all the nonsense and return to normal.

  27. Sandy

I always went to Disney I have news for you Universal has the nicest Hotels and the grounds are well kept the restaurant s are better than Disney I went to universal last fall the rooms where clean and the staff was very informative Disney needs to step up I wanted to go next year I holding off not impressed by Disney they have to restructure a lot of things go back to what it was new is not always good why fix what was working wright now things are not working to good won’t be back until I see improvement.

  28. fake

this guy is obviously attempting to get people to go to disney
